TrickingTrapster Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 So, quite simple, this. Sign language is very cool and everything, but people being able to sign to eachother in 100% darkness just shouldn't be possible. Maybe change the sentence the person does below a certain light percentage to, "X signs/gestures but it's too dark to see it." Nothing high priority or game-breaking, just something that irks me.
UnknownMurder Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 +1 Obviously. This image pretty much explains stupidity of how it would look in real life.
Arrow768 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Scuba Divers during night dives are facing the same problem. There is a very simple solution to that. You use your lightsource and point it at your hand so the other one can see it, then "talk in sign language" Since everyone aboard the station has a PDA, it would be sensible to assume they just to that. (Why in hell would you choose to gesture around in the darkness if you have a light source that can be used to illuminate your hands) I would rather add a check if someone has a light source on them and if they do enable it for a brief moment when that person is saying something in sign language
TrickingTrapster Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 I'll be down with that too, arrow. Just something to prevent sign language in complete darkness since it's complete bullshit imo.
NebulaFlare Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 +1 with the exception for Tajara. Tajara can see in the dark.
