How long have you played SS13?: Since January of 2015

How long have you played on Aurora: Since June of 2015

How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: Pretty much everything by now. Haven’t set up the Supermatter yet but I get the idea.

Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?:No. I have been in the CCIA Bureau since December 17, 2015 and the CCIA Leader from late March iirc to the middle of August.

Personality

Why do you play SS13?: To get away from stresses IRL. I like the roleplay aspect. Pretty much one of the only games I play.

Why do you play on Aurora?: Well, I came here to get away from Hippie and I liked that me and my friend could experience longer rounds to “Build our fort on the Mining Outpost” I ended up staying after I got into the RP Aspect of it all.

What do moderators do?: They moderate issues between the players of the server. Keep the peace between players and help set people on the right track. It isn’t all about just banning the shitters, if you are able to help them learn, that is good too.

What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: It means that you are held to a higher standard than the average player, as is expected with most staff. You should be aware of how you are acting at all time. Joking around is fine but when you need to be serious, you need to be serious. You should be able to handle stress fairly well as you will be getting plenty of logs. You should also be able to mediate differences between players.

Why do you want to be a moderator?: Well, I recently left my CCIA Leader position (Handed it off to ForgottenTraveller) It wasn’t a punishment or anything, school was starting up, I was overwhelmed with school work and just started to let things slip. I feel now that I am able to get back to helping the server again and feel that I played my part in the CCIA Bureau.

What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I feel that I am a good negotiator/diplomat when situations arise. I am able to remain unbiased and am able to hear out both sides of a story. Feel that I can make unbiased decisions and remain respectful/be someone that players can look up to.

How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?:I feel that I have a pretty good grip on stress. I am able to manage my time and work that needs to be done fairly well so I don’t experience it that often. Anger/insults has not been a problem for me that I know of.

I am aware that I cannot be in the CCIA Bureau and be a full fledged Moderator at the same time. I’m just hoping to get a trial in, see if I am fit for the job and then see what I want to do from. Anyway, thanks for reading the application. I would really like to stay an active member of the staff but I just don’t find it easy for me to do that needed jobs of the CCIA anymore (Basically doing investigations)

As a friend of Owen's, and also someone who has seen his CCIA work closely? Yes. I think Owen would make a stellar addition to the mod team. He's chill and well-adjusted, and I think he could handle the situations thrown at the staff team fairly well. I'd like to see how he does in trial, this has my +1.

Also as a good friend of Owen who worked closely with him during his tenure as CCIABS, I'm pretty confident in his capabilities to perform the duties of a moderator. He's level headed, even tempered, slow to jump to conclusions, and often very unbiased. I think he could do a lot of good for the community if he were to hold this post, and he has my beaming endorsement.

He's pretty detailed and very investigative from my point of view as a moderate CCIA. He has the potential to being an excellent server moderator. He is willingly to listen to both parties however him being as Lead CCIA, keeps me self-disciplined.

Not sure what else to say other than he's a good nomination choice.

Negatives? I don't want him to leave CCIA. I want him to stay. He means Chancellor Palpatine to me.
