SierraKomodo Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Basically, to serve a similar function to removing people from cryo who have been gone for 15+ minutes. There's alot of AIs that will just disconnect and not wipe-core, leaving the slot taken but not actually used for a majority of a round.
Taintedglory Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I have a lot to say about this subject matter. Ahem. Yes
incognitojesus Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 +1 Please contribute to the discussion in some way other than just +1/-1. As for this thread, I would agree that a measure to keep AIs from AFKing for long periods of time. Since we can't catch it all the time.
Guest Complete Garbage Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Please contribute to the discussion in some way other than just +1/-1. I understand not having -1s, but +1s are just a quicker way of saying "I like this idea and see no problems with it." But on that note, I like this idea and see no problems with it. +1
VileFault Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Practically speaking, this suggestion appears likely to fix a problem that often requires an uglier approach. Why involve the staff when such a simple solution readily presents itself? Occasionally, however, I could see this kicking normal, respectful AI players on a break. How exactly would you set the timer you suggest?
Alberyk Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I would rather add a button that allows staff members to force a ssd AI into the storage.
Arrow768 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I think Alberyks idea should be expanded to print out a message in the admin log if a AI has disconnected and then again after 15min or so. That reminds the staff online that there is a AI that is disconnected, afk or inactive and they can do something about it. I prefer this solution, because it allows AI players to go AFK / inactive (with ahelping beforehand) for a reasonable time and they dont have to fear that they have been forced out of their slot by a automatic system in the meanwhile.
