Artifact Returned to the Safety of Museums

19.02.2462

An ancient banner, dating around the 13th century A.I., was returned to the safety of the Miran’mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits this week. The artifact was found in 2461 during the excavations of an ancient battlefield in the province of Dymtris. The flag had been frozen in ice and it was well preserved. The standard was made with silk and gold thread, displaying a religious icon of S'rendarr. The object was named “Dymtris Banner” by its finder. Archeologists were divided between two theories: One claims that the item was only three hundred years old and was used during pre-revolution campaigns. The other hypothesis affirmed that the flag was weaved during the Warring Kings Era on Ras’nrr, it was later brought to Harr’masir during the Suns War.

The artifact was shipped to Tau Ceti at the start of this year, with the purpose of having its age verified by better-equipped laboratories. After initial tests, the second theory was invalidated. However, while the relic was being returned to Adhomai, its shipment was misplaced. The Dymtris Banner was sent to a NanoTrasen space station, the NSS Aurora, alongside a large haul of explosives. Kamyar Hourany, the curator of Miran’mir’s museum and responsible for the safety of the flag, boarded the facility to recover the missing item. Kamyar discovered that some unknown force planted several replicas among the shipment, in an attempt to fool the academy’s personnel. Faced with the threat of losing a piece of the Tajaran history, he acted fast with the help of the crew. After two hours of search and tests, he was able to recover the object with the aid of xenoarchaeologist Zirhal Rkanazirr, research director Rhashalii'rmirhan Khazmahr, assistant Muhawir Nawfal and janitor Viggo Mab.

The Dymtris Banner will now join the collection of the Miran’mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits. Curator Kamyar and the administration of the university have offered their gratitude to the crew of the NSS Aurora. Without their help, this part of our past would be forever lost.

Parliament Meeting is Interrupted by Protest

16.05.2462

Today a typical meeting between the Parliament and the King was interrupted by an unexpected demonstration. As King Azunja and the parliamentarians finished discussing future economical and political embargos against the Izweski Hegemony, a crowd of at least forty Tajara interrupted the assembly. The group, formed by Kaltir citizens, sailors and members of the Commoners Party, started to shout and protest. They demanded more popular representation and the creation of electable positions in the Parliament. The parliamentarians on site replied by yelling and ordering their removal. The guards were unable to move the protesters. King Azunja tried in vain to reconcile both sides.

Kaltir’s constables arrived at the Parliament twenty minutes later. The crowd was successfully dispersed by law enforcement, however, no arrests were made. The Commoners Party contacted the Crown after the incident, presenting their demands. They asked for the establishment of an elected house in the Parliament’s ranks, so the voice of the people may be heard. ”It is necessary to recognize the importance of the people. The Kingdom would not survive without their support” - they claimed in a strongly worded letter. Members of the Commoners Party have threatened the organization of more protests if their requests are not met in due time. King Azunja retired to the Imperial Palace without offering any statement on the situation.

Protests Takes Over the Streets of Kaltir

25.06.2462

The Commoner’s Party has brought the people of Kaltir to the streets, as they had threatened to do previously. Thousands of Tajara left their homes to protest in the capital, blocking important streets and thoroughfares while bringing life in the city to a grinding halt. Many protestors gathered before the parliament building and the courtyard of the Imperial Palace. They request the establishment of electable positions in the parliament, seeking greater representation of the population in the government. Sailors have also shown their support to the cause, organizing their own demonstrations on ships and in ports.

The Crown has not released any official statement in regards to the protest yet. However, multiple parliamentarians, mainly from the Royal Party, have declared their intentions of not acquiescing to the population’s demands. The Commoners Party, alongside some members of the Officers Party, have released a announcement:

Quote

The Kingdom is built upon the blood of the commoners that valiantly defended our right to exist. It is a mistake to not listen to their voices. They do not seek to return us to the Republican yoke, but only for a chance to have their concerns voiced by representatives that they trust. We believe that King Vahzirthaamro Azunja has the wisdom to understand this; he has wisely led our people for years.

The entire contingent of the constabulary of Kaltir has been deployed to maintain the order and safeguard the city’s property during the protest. Most of its forces are concentrated around the parliament and the palace, stopping the protestors from getting too close to those important buildings. Protests were reported as well in Miran’mir and Dymtris. The demonstrations have remained peaceful so far.

Tensions Rises in Kaltir During Demonstrations

27.06.2462

King Azunja remains silent as the protests enter their second day. The protestors have become more restless, thanks to the lack of response from the Crown. As the protests continue, reports of clashes between the protestors and constables have become more common. Several arrests were made, with charges that include vandalism, trespassing and insulting the King. Most of the streets of the capital have been marked as off-limits to protestors, forcing the demonstrations to happen before the Parliament and the palace’s courtyard. A crowd now stands before the home of the Azunja dynasty, asking for more representation and holding portraits of the loved ones they lost during the war.

Some sailors have taken further action during the protests. Two ships, the HMS Rredouane and the HMS Dolor, have set sail without orders from the Royal Navy command. Both vessels are now sailing around Kaltir’s bay as a sign of the crew’s support towards the protestors. They have told their superiors that they do not plan to return to port until the people’s demands are met. Any civilian ship attempting to approach the dock is being told to return by the sailors. Some eyewitness claimed that the HMS Rredouane has aimed its guns towards the capital. The Kingdom’s military stands divided before this event, with many suggesting that such is an act of mutiny. Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan has ordered the city’s garrison to arm and prepare themselves in case of conflict. Kaltir’s coastal defenses are in full alert.

Parliament is seemingly paralyzed by this crisis, and is unable to take decisive action without the presence of the King. The Crown Heir has recently addressed these concerns; she claimed that King Azunja is unable to attend any session of Parliament due to suffering from a mild illness. Some parliamentarians suggested making a decision despite His Majesty’s absence; members of the Officers Party have threatened military intervention if this happens. Field-Marshal Rrhazhal has promised to stand with the King no matter what.

The Crown Concedes to the People’s Demands

29.06.2462

Tensions continued high this morning. The HMS Rredouane and the HMS Dolor remained on patrol in Kaltir’s bay, and the Palace courtyard remained full of protestors. However, the Parliament was able to hold a meeting with King Vahzirthaamro Azunja. After hours of discussion and negotiations they reached an agreement. A new chamber will be created in the Parliament: the Chamber of Commoners. It will be composed of elected representatives that will serve a term of three years. Any citizen, noble or commoner, will be able to occupy those positions. Despite this, the new house holds considerable less power and seats than the inheritable titles - a simple majority from the Chamber of Nobles will be able to overrule the decisions made by the Chamber of Commoners.

Alongside the concessions to the Commoner’s Party, the Crown has made other compromises to the members of the Parliament. Promises of relaxing the draft and increasing funds to modernize the army were made. Amnesty to the sailors that participated in the HMS Dolor and HMS Rredouane mutiny was also granted. The news were received with celebration by the population. The protestors in front of the Imperial palace became a cheering crowd when the changes were announced. The ships blocking Kaltir’s bay docked soon after the meeting was over. The sailors were welcomed with open arms by their colleagues; they were dragged to a pub to commemorate. The city’s garrison stood down, returning their weapons at the orders of the Field-Marshall.

The protests came to an end by the night; as most of the population returned to their homes. King Azunja retired himself to his private quarters shortly after the meeting, offering no further insight into the situation. Elections for the Chamber of Commoners are expected to begin in two months.

Elections for the Chamber of Commoners to Start in One Week

09.09.2462

Following months of debates and legislative drafting, the King and His Parliament released a set date for the start of the elections for the Chamber of Commoners. In one week, the Kingdom’s population will be allowed to vote for their representatives in the Royal Parliament. The elections will last for four days. Through a deal with NanoTrasen, the Crown has been provided with electronic voting machines to facilitate the process. Every village and city will be equipped with one of the devices. The Imperial Army has been drafted to safeguard the voting centers from any sabotage.

In a similar manner to the organization found in the Chamber of the Nobles, candidates were allowed to affiliate themselves with one of the three approved parties: the Royal Party, the Officers Party and the Commoners Party. Hadiist and A’lmariist platforms were strictly prohibited from participating. Candidates will be allowed to make use of the radio, television and extranet, without any restriction in regards to budget, to promote their campaigns.

King Azunja has expressed his support for the upcoming elections in a brief communique. Citizens residing abroad S'rand'marr will be allowed to vote through their local embassies

Royal Party Secures Leadership in the Chamber of Commons

22.09.2462

After three days of voting, the results of the election for the Chamber of Commons were published by the Crown. The Royal Party has secured 44% of the seats, followed by the Officer’s Party with 36% and the Commoners Party with the remaining positions. Specialists stipulate that turnout reached 75% of the total voting population. Despite minor clashes between supporters of the different parties and two voting machines being stolen,  intergalactic observers praised the elections for its integrity.

Crown Heir Shumaila, speaking under the behalf of King Azunja, has welcomed the Chamber of Commons. In the incoming days, the new chamber will take part in discussions related to future deals with NanoTrasen and the purchase of spacecraft. His Majesty delegated his duties at the Parliament to the Crown heir until further notice. The King did not offer any explanation for this decision.

The Crown Withdraws From the Tajaran Citizenship Act

08.12.2462

In the face of the Hadiist announcement of dismantling the Tajaran Citizenship Act, an emergency meeting was called by Crown Heir Shumaila. The Parliament spent hours discussing the Kingdom’s stance on the issue. The Chamber of Nobles proposed recognizing the Republican act as valid, suggesting that whoever had plans to join their side had already done so. The Officers Party sided with this previous view, citing that allowing the Al’mariist enemy to bolster its numbers would place the Kingdom at the disadvantage in a possible future conflict. The Chamber of Commoners remained deeply divided on this issue. The Commoners Party demanded that the Kingdom oppose the withdrawal from the Citizenship Act; they claimed that such provisions were necessary to maintain the Armistice.

NanoTrasen officials and Biesellite representatives were consulted on the matter. They advised that withdrawing from the agreement was in the nation’s best interest. This suggestion caused outrage among the members of the Officers Party. The militarists accused them of working with their Hadiist allies instead of considering the Kingdom’s diplomatic efforts. While the Crown Heir’s initial stance on the issue was unknown, she decided to side with the Chamber of Nobles. Shumaila proposed that the Kingdom also withdraw from the Citizenship Act. Even with the Crown Heir’s support, the Commoner’s Party continued its opposition to the motion. After hours of debate, negotiation, and the Chamber of Commoners’ decision being overruled by the Chamber of Nobles, the Parliament agreed with Shumaila’s proposal. The Kingdom will no longer take part in the Tajaran Citizenship Act.

This decision was received with mixed feelings by the population. Many fear that this will lead to the breakdown of the peace in Adhomai. When asked about King Azunja’s current situation, Crown Heir Shumaila assured the public that he was healthy and would likely return to public life soon.

King Azunja Returns to Public Life

22.01.2463

After an unexpected appearance at the parliament, King Azunja has announced a return to his duties. The monarch's absence in the past months has caused much speculation; many suspected that he was planning on abdicating. Azunja assured the press and parliament that he has no intentions of retiring any time soon. When asked about the reasons behind his leave, the King only mentioned suffering from a mild illness that has been already treated. Even after the return of His Majesty, Crown Heir Shumaila attended the sessions alongside King Azunja.

The daily discussions in the parliament were mostly focused on plans to acquire more space ships to continue building the nation’s merchant fleet. The Royal Party suggested contacting other megacorps for help; citing the formation of the SCC as an opportunity to obtain further contracts. This motion was supported by Crown Heir Shumaila. The Officers Party urged the Crown to construct its own shipyard as soon as possible; claiming that relying on foreign powers would be the Kingdom’s downfall. The Commoner’s Party opposed the notion of inviting additional megacorporations to the country. King Azunja agreed on purchasing the ships from NanoTrasen, but ultimately remained unconvinced in regards to involving new corporations. Crown Heir Shumaila did not contest this decision in spite of her initial stance. The nuclear test by the Al’mariist was briefly discussed. The parliament decided that defensive measures are the best alternative to safeguard the Kingdom against this new threat. The exact nature of this plan has yet to be determined.

King Azunja also expressed his desire to visit the southern provinces to see the reconstruction efforts by himself. No set date on the tour was provided by the Crown.

The King is Dead; Peaceful End in His Sleep

05.02.2463

The Royal Telegraph announces with deep regret that King Vahzirthaamro Azunja died last night. It was announced from the Imperial Palace this morning that the King, who retired to rest in the afternoon, peacefully passed away in his sleep. He was found apparently sleeping by the house staff after it was reported that he missed his breakfast. Doctors were called when King Azunja did not respond to attempts to wake him up. The medical crew confirmed that he was already dead when he was found; after a quick examination, they concluded that he likely died of natural causes. The household staff commented that King Azunja yesterday appeared to be in his best health.

His sudden demise took the nation by surprise. A crowd formed at the Imperial Palace's gates to mourn his passing. Extra guards were deployed around the royal residence by the orders of the Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan. The gathering continued through the night. Many shops and pubs closed early in a display of grief. Other cities across the Kingdom joined Kaltir in their mourning; the population took the streets and public squares to grieve His Majesty. The Tajaran community outside of S'rand'marr has reacted in a similar manner; Tajara closed their business’ doors and joined their families to listen to the news. Navy’s ships fired their cannons to pay respect to King Vahzirthaamro. Military leaders and provincial governors have started their journey to the capital. Diplomatic notices have been already issued by the off-world embassies.

Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja made a brief public appearance to offer a statement on the situation:

Quote

“Her uncle’s passing is a tragedy to the people of Adhomai, the Kingdom lost its greatest defender. He fought for the destiny and freedom of the Tajara people for more than one decade. His name and deeds shall enter history, but as something that they should always strive for. King Vahzirthaamro’s legacy shall be continued by his people.”

The Parliament has been adjourned until the coronation of a new monarchy. King Azunja’s body was taken to Klyuchevksy Medical Center for an autopsy. The funeral was scheduled to take place in two weeks.

His Majesty was 62.

King Vahzirthaamro Azunja is Laid to Rest; Funeral Moves the Kingdom

19.02.2463

funeral.png.098380a5f32c1837ae720d5df61bdbb4.png

Two weeks after King Azunja’s death, Kaltir now houses countless loyal subjects who have came to attend his funeral. The trains and ships were given orders to work non-stop to bring people to the capital. The Imperial Army was deployed to help clean and patch the streets. The shuttle port saw unparalleled activity as expatriates returned to Adhomai. As the hotels' rooms filled with guests, pubs and even the family homes opened their doors for the weary travelers. Military leaders, provincial governors, and other important nobles arrived to pay their respects to King Vahzirthaamro. Caravans of rock nomads traveled to the city and camped in its parks.

King’s Azunja body was returned to the Imperial Palace after the medical team confirmed that he passed away due to natural causes. Following a brief vigil reserved to his family and closest friends, His Majesty was dressed in the finest silk and pelts; he was then placed in a glass coffin for the incoming ceremony. The streets and the Royal Residence’s courtyard were full on the day of the funeral. Those who could not take part in it stood by their television or radios. The procession departed from the Imperial Palace. The casket was placed on the top of a military car and slowly moved through the crowded avenues. Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja, Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik, and the King’s remaining family members accompanied it closely. Imperial Army soldiers and constables surrounded the convoy. The mourning crowd followed King Azunja. Millions lined up in the streets to see the procession. The sound of the ships’ cannons could be heard from the port as the navy took part in the grieving.

After hours, the procession stopped before the Temple of the Undying Sun’s courtyard, the largest S'rendarr and Messa church in Kaltir. Despite the protest of those who argued that the King should be buried following the Ma’ta’ke’s traditions, His Majesty made it clear in his will that he wanted to be cremated and that no other place in the capital could host such a large event. King Azunja was then brought inside the temple and laid on the center of its nave. A ten-kilometer-long line of people who wanted to pay their respects quickly formed outside the building. Priests of the Twin Suns and all Ma’ta’ke Gods were present, praying for King Vahzirthaamro’s soul.

Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja, wearing her military dress uniform, was the first one to approach the casket. She stood in silence for some minutes looking at the King before delivering her eulogy:

Quote

"Her Uncle led his people during their hardest and greatest time. He is the foundation on which this Kingdom is built upon. Without him, nothing would be possible. But he left his dream unfinished, and they must fulfill it. Adhomai must be restored to its rightful rulers; its people must be free from tyranny. She swears to continue his legacy and never rest until it is done. Suns bless the North."

Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan followed after the Crown Heir. He placed a hand on the coffin, muttering a prayer before delivering his speech. Despite his age, his words were loud and clear:

Quote

"He remembers the time before the Great War when this one and Vahzirthaamro were young and full of hope. Rrhazhal did all he could to save their dreams when the traitors invaded Kaltir. He did not believe that he would live long enough to see the return of the Kingdom; he is glad that he was wrong. This one is happy to have fought for the House of Azunja. There is no greater honor in this world than to serve the rightful ruler of Adhomai, and he shall continue to do so until he is ready to join his friend and King."

Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas approached the body when the Field-Marshel left. He was dressed in his fancy dress uniform with all of his medals on display. He stood at attention while saying his eulogy:

Quote

"Glory to the Azunja dynasty and the Kingdom! May they reign over Adhomai for a thousand years. The King’s wisdom was proven to be infinite when he accepted this one and the navy’s service. To rule the waves is to rule the planet. Its brave sailors shall serve his house until the day they die. The steel wall of the Royal Navy shall always be the Kingdom’s shield and sword. Long live King Vahzirthaamro’s bloodline and the brave Tajara under its service!"

King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik stepped forward. The Nomadic ruler was wearing a simple traditional pelt outfit. Without further consideration he said:

Quote

"The Rhazar'Hrujmagh will continue to fight for the New Kingdom as long they respect their traditions. King Vahzirthaamro did not turn them away in their hour of need, they will always do the same for the Kingdom. The caravans are ready to follow the Azunja dynasty until they can no longer ride. Rredouane! Rredouane! Rredouane!"

Ser Mrakhanjurl Ii'rka was also presented, dressed in a simple uniform with only his Hero of Adhomai medal on display. The hero gave a short but sincere eulogy:

Quote

"King Azunja was a champion of the common people. His defense of the Kingdom and its population is admirable. Adhomai lost a great Tajara, but his life was what gave this one and many more the chance to shine in their own way."

B'nuqi Valzroq, a Jargon representative to Adhomai, issued the following diplomatic note:

Quote

"We, on behalf of the Jargon Federation, are profoundly saddened to hear of the King's death; the New Kingdom of Adhomai has unfortunately lost a committed and consistent voice devoted to ensuring the success of its nation. The death of the King has left much to be discussed with the Crown Heir, and upon the finalization of her coronation, the Jargon Federation shall seek to engage with the New Kingdom of Adhomai diplomatically."

A delegation sent by Father Valyan K'rrirran was present to deliver His Holiness condolences and blessings. Priests of Mata’ke and Marryam honored the King by claiming that he made the Gods proud with his just and strong rule. A group of Amohdan warriors from Bar'jar praised the King for his support to their people. Generals, captains, nobles, war heroes, politicians, and countless commoners followed later to pay their respect to the King. The Temple remained open for three more days. The Kingdom was united in the mourning.

When the vigil was over, His Majesty’s body was burned in the temple’s crematorium. His ashes were stored in a silver urn that was given to Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja. She expressed the desire to build a mausoleum to guard his remains. As the funeral ended, the Kingdom now looks forward to the coronation of a new monarch. The ceremony is expected to happen in the next week. The Royal Constabulary speculated that the funeral was attended by at least twenty and five million people.

Rikdar Al'Manq, while unable to travel to the Kingdom due to restrictions imposed by the Hadiist regime, painted and delivered an oil painting to honor King Azunja:

Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja is Crowned as Queen!

26.02.2463

Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja was crowned queen of the New Kingdom of Adhomai today in a ceremony at the Imperial Palace. The coronation was the first ceremony of its kind to be televised; it was also made available through the extranet in real-time. Kaltir’s pubs were filled with Tajara watching the event. A total of ten thousand guests were invited to personally attend the crowning. A crowd quickly formed outside the royal residence, but they were stopped from reaching the gates by the constabulary.

The coronation took place in the throne room. The palace was decorated with paintings, rugs hangings from the walls, and other treasures taken from the royal vault. The Crown Heir was wearing a cyan-blue silk dress adorned with golden brocade and pelts. Shumaila sat on the Throne of Kaltir, a wooden chair commissioned by King Azunja in 2453. Governors, parliamentarians, generals, heads of noble families, diplomats, and other people of note were present as guests. The ceremony started when a priest of Mata’ke and a priestess of Marryam approached the throne and reciting an oath:

Quote

“Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja, does she vows to be brave, just, and strong as Mata’ke teaches them to be?”

Shumaila bowed and replied:

Quote

“She shall be the head of the Kingdom in the same manner that Ma’take is the head of the divine clan.”

The priestess of Marryam asked:

Quote

“Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja, does she swear to be wise, determined, and to be the best ruler to her people like Marryam teaches them?”

Shumaila bowed and answered:

Quote

“She shall be wise and she will lead her people to greatness in the same manner that Marryam does to the divine settlement.”

A Priest of S'rendarr, a member of the S'rendarr’s Closest responsible for the region of Kaltir, accompanied by a Sun Sister walked towards Shumaila after the Mata’ke worshippers left and asked:

Quote

“The Suns have chosen her as their representative in this world, to guide the Tajara in a just manner and with wisdom. Does she accept this duty and vows to uphold the faith and its eternal principles?”

The Crown Heir bowed briefly and said:

Quote

“By day and light of S'rendarr, they live and bask in his warmth, happy and content. By the warmth and light of Messa, they cease breath and fall to death. Under their watchful eyes, she accepts her duty as the Queen before the Gods.”

The S’rand’marr priesthood then made way for the Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan. He was carrying the crown jewels: a golden scepter with the symbol of the Twins Suns on the top, a flintlock pistol used during the Gunpowder Age, and the Crown of Kaltir; a tall gold filigree skullcap elaborately ornamented with a scrolled silver overlay, inlaid with precious stones and pearls, and trimmed with pelts. Field-Marshal Zarkradar'Akhan offered the objects while saying his part of the coronation vow:

Quote

“Crown Heir Shumaila Azunja, does she accept her duties as the Queen of the New Kingdom and vows to fulfill her role while respecting the national constitution?”

Shumaila held the pistol in one hand and the scepter in the other. She looked up to the field-marshall and answered:

Quote

“She accepts her duty as the Queen. She vows to respect the constitution and its rightful institutions.”

“By the powers of the parliament, the army, and the constitution, they declare her Queen Shumaila Azunja.” Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan spoke before placing the Crown of Kaltir upon her head.

The Imperial Army band present started to play the national anthem, the guests then stood up and started to sing alongside the music. The entire city erupted in celebration. Countless fireworks lightened up the skies. The crowd before the gates cheered.  Pubs opened their finest casks and gave away free drinks. The people took over the streets, celebrating the ascension of their new monarch.

Several gifts were brought to the Queen by her loyal subjects. She was given fine clothes, jewels, and other riches by the nobility. The Amohdan community gifted her one of their ancestral blades brought from the island; the sword was supposedly forged from meteoric iron. King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik gave the Queen one hundred Zhsram. The Royal Navy promised to name their next destroyer after Her Majesty.

Queen Shumaila Azunja retired to her quarters after the coronation. Parliament sessions are expected to resume tomorrow.

Miran’mir Academy Expedition to Set to Sail for the North Pole

21.03.2463

The Miran’mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits Archeology Department announced today its intentions of organizing a team to sail to the North Pole of Adhomai. Originally proposed by Kamyar Hourany, the Academy’s Museum Curator, the expedition aims to find the wreckage of the Minharrzka’s Chosen, a Gunpowder Age ship. The Minharrzka’s Chosen was part of a fleet commissioned by the Empire of Das’nrra to locate the supposed entrance to Aghar’mahrk, a subterranean mythological realm. The eponymous vessel and its crew were lost close to the North Pole.

Curator Kamyar Hourany was granted an audience with the Parliament to secure funds for the expedition. The archeologist brought historical maps and documents to prove the existence of the Minharrzka’s Chosen and to indicate its possible location. In addition to extra funding for the Academy’s project, Hourany asked for a Royal Navy ship to accompany the expedition. The Royal Party opposed spending credits in what they called “another extravagant adventure”. However, the Officers and the Commoners Party supported the motion, citing national prestige and the preservation of Tajaran heritage, respectively, as their reasons to back up the proposal. Queen Shumaila Azunja, after consulting with Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, broke the impasse by approving the Academy’s plan. The Queen also ordered that a geology team participate in the journey to collect samples.

Three civilian ships, two icebreakers, and a Royal Navy frigate have been reserved for the expedition. Geologists, biologists, and archeologists will be recruited from the Academy’s ranks to take part in the scientific team. Recruitment of sailors has started; the Academy is after the most experienced and prepared seamen for the journey. Curator Kamyar Hourany will lead the academic team, while captain Khrazmrrug Dynhaas will be responsible for the fleet. The expedition is expected to depart in two months.

Crown Announces National Census

02.04.2463

The Crown released today an official statement announcing its intentions to conduct a national census. Proposed by Queen Shumaila Azunja to better gauge the Kingdom’s situation, the census project was quickly approved by the Parliament. Provinces have been tasked with acquiring and processing the information of their respective populations. Royal census takers will visit households in the next months; mounted constables will accompany the officials in rural areas to guarantee their safety. Tajara living abroad will be able to provide their data by visiting any embassy. The Crown urges its citizens to collaborate with its servants for the betterment of the nation.

Besides the census, the Crown has also announced an update to the National Registry System. Alongside basic information, such as name and age, the new national identification documents will now display the owner’s ethnicity. The following options will be available: Njarir'Akhran, Hharar, M’sai, Zhan-Khazan, and mixed heritage. To prevent any possible fraud, specialists will define each citizen’s ethnicity based on scientific concepts and ancestry analysis. Anyone wanting to contest an official decision in regards to their classification will be required to do so through a court of law. All subjects of the Crown must update their identification documents with competent authorities within one year. After the official deadline, anyone in the possession of an outdated identification will be fined.

When asked about the purpose of listing ethnicity in the identification documents, government officials explained that such information is part of the oncoming census. Queen Shumaila Azunja made a brief speech about the changes:

Quote

“Heritage is a fundamental part of the Tajara identity and history; it is more than necessary for them to recognize this aspect of their society. Unlike the Hadiists and Al’mariists, the Kingdom will respect the differences that exist in the Tajara people, and that will be its strength. Shumaila wishes to honor their ancestry with the recognition it deserves.“

Idris Incorporated Seals Deal with Baltor Watchmakers

13.05.2463

As part of the Crown's agreements with the intergalactic corporations, Baltor watchmakers have recently sealed a deal with the Caishen Jewellers, an Idris Incorporated subsidiary. Artisans will now supply the megacorporation with finely crafted watches. Gold and precious gems from Olska will be used to fabricate the clocks; the products will then be exported and sold to the foreign market. The agreement was well received by the population and local administration that expects to use the extra revenue to fund further reconstruction and modernization efforts in the city. Idris representatives announced plans to expand the corporation's operations in the Nation.

The growing presence of megacorporations in the Kingdom has brought countless benefits. The people are now able to enjoy new goods and services that were unheard of during the war. Getmore vending machines are starting to appear on the streets of Kaltir. Owning Idris domestic appliances is now a status for housewives. However, some elements are already voicing their concerns about the changes. The Commoners Party is calling for restrictions against the expansion of corporations; they claim that their unrestricted presence might be harmful to the proper development of the nation. The Officers Party warned the parliament about the country becoming overly dependent on foreign help.

Despite the concerns, the Royal Party praised the Crown's efforts to integrate the economy with the galactic market. Queen Shumaila Azunja claimed that she was only honoring the compromises signed by her uncle, King Vahzirthaamro. When questioned about possible future contracts with megacorporations, Her Majesty refused to reveal more information. Observers speculate that the Kingdom will likely continue to work with NanoTrasen or Hephaestus Industries to build its merchant space fleet.

Crown Reveals the Bunker Plan

25.05.2463

As the threat of a possible nuclear war hangs over Adhomai, the Crown has revealed its plans to safeguard the country from this menace. Government officials announced the construction of bunker complexes close to the main urban centers and military bases throughout the nation. The "Bunker Plan'' has the objective of securing the Kingdom's continued existence in spite of a nuclear exchange. Outside of serving as blast shelters, the underground complexes will be stocked with supplies to guarantee the survival of their inhabitants for up to four months.

The Crown contracted intergalactic corporations to aid in the project: Hephaestus Industries will supply technicians and specialized equipment; Idris fridges will be stocked with NanoTrasen LiquidFood Rations; and anti-radiation drugs will be brought from Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals. Alien specialists will aid the Kingdom's engineers in the construction. Dymtris Construction, a national civil engineering company, was commissioned to do the project. The Crown aims to secure shelter for at least a third of the population in five years.

In case of a nuclear launch, the Bunker Plan will come into effect. Governmental radio channels will quickly alert all authorities; they will be required to evacuate essential personnel first to the nearest shelter, and then they will later allow the civilians to enter. The bunkers will remain closed until the fallout is confirmed to be over. Contact between each facility will be maintained via radio. Specially trained units will leave the shelters daily to ascertain the situation. Anyone unable to reach cover will be instructed to hide in a basement or other underground location.

The Bunker Plan also involves the training of civil servants and the population in how to handle the evacuation. Schools will incorporate social guidance classes on how to find shelter in the curriculum. The Crown Herald will start broadcasting weekly instructions to inform the citizens of the correct procedure.

Alongside the Bunker Plan, Queen Shumaila Azunja confirmed that the Kingdom has already started to pursue its own nuclear program. The Parliament and the army command believe that deterrence is necessary for the current climate. The construction of the bunkers will start in two weeks.

Strike Paralyzes the Construction of Kaltir's Bunkers

25.06.2463

The progress on Kaltir's bunker system came to a halt this morning due to a strike against the working conditions. A large group of workers arrived early from their barracks and formed a picket line to block the gate leading to the construction site. Heavy machinery was displaced and tools were seized by Tajara engaging in the demonstration. Any Tajara attempting to return to work was coerced by the strikers to either join them or leave. The foremen and corporate specialists did not join the strike.

The strikers are complaining about supposedly excessively long shifts, low pay, cold barracks, and foul-tasting NanoTrasen issued rations. They demand a raise in their salaries, proper payment of extra hours, and better living quarters. The strike leadership also accuses Dymtris Construction of not being prepared to deal with a project of his magnitude; they claimed that the firm was only commissioned because of nepotism within the Parliament. Dymtris Construction's administration refused to negotiate with the instigators; the company explained that the conditions are essentially the same as before and that the workers are taking advantage of the importance of the project to make unreasonable demands.

A new group of workers was transferred to Kaltir to continue the construction; they were prevented from entering the building site by the protesters. The constabulary was then called to disperse the gathering; this attempt proved to be unsuccessful as the workers refused to return to their barracks despite the presence of the officers. The chief constable of Kaltir refrained from using force without explicit orders from the Crown. The protesters are currently disrespecting the Kingdom's strikers regulations; anyone planning a demonstration at their workplace can only do so after submitting a request to their local constabulary.

The strike now continues without any kind of resolution on sight. The situation remains tense as the protesters camp at the construction site and the constables remain in the area to prevent any kind of violence. The Royal Party requested that the Crown takes action against the strike as soon as possible. The Officers Party called the strike a "hadiist infiltration attempt to undermine their society". The Commoners Party suggested a meeting with the worker's leadership to solve the impasse through diplomacy. Queen Shumaila Azunja urged the strikers to return to work.

Kaltir Bunker Strike Comes to an End; Three Hundred Wounded and Eleven Dead

28.06.2463

Forces of the constabulary and the Royal Peacekeepers entered the Kaltir bunker construction site last night to forcefully end the strike. Acting under direct orders of the Crown, the law agents surrounded the camp and ordered for the workers to stand down. The strikers refused to comply; they asked that their demands be met instead. Raakti Shariim agents then fired tear gas grenades over the fences to disperse the gathering. As the agitators scrambled for protection, an armored car rammed through the construction site gate. The constable advanced against the protesters at the entrance, expelling them from the site and subjugating anyone that resisted with truncheons and electric batons.

As the constable advanced further into the camp to liberate it, they found fierce resistance from the remaining strikers. The law agents were assaulted with tools and improvised weapons. The skirmishes resulted in the death of four officers and seven workers. Klyuchevksy Medical Center reports three hundred and fifty wounded from the confrontation. The worker's leadership surrendered two hours after the invasion. At least one hundred Tajara were arrested. The Royal Peacekeepers have already identified three main ringleaders; all of the chief instigators have been detained and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

The Commoners Party labeled the action brutal and unnecessary; they also pleaded for the Queen to pardon the protesters. The Officers and the Royal Party praised the actions of the Constabulary and the Royal Peacekeepers. Queen Shumaila Azunja issued an official statement on the events:

Quote

"The Bunker Plan is essential for the survival of the Kingdom. Until they can confront their enemies on totally equal footing, they should be ready to survive anything. The strikes were delaying the construction of Kaltir's bunkers. It was a clear attempt to undermine the nation's future. The Crown suspects that this was a plan by their enemies. For now, they should remain united to secure their place on Adhomai."

The Commoners Party has called for protests against the Crown's actions. Work on the Kaltir bunker system is expected to resume in two days.

Kaltir Bunkers' Strike Leaders are Sentenced!

16.07.2463

Since the Kaltir Bunker's Strike breakup, the nation waited with bated breath for the conclusion of the judgment of the worker's leadership. Protests asking for the release of the prisoners were held in all major cities; these manifestations remained largely peaceful. The Parliament's sessions were also majorly concerned with how to deal with the situation and the future of the Bunker Plan. The Commoners Party attempted to pass laws to pardon the ringleaders and ease strike regulation requirements. Queen Shumaila Azunja blocked any kind of proposal that sought to interfere in the oncoming trial.

The trial was held in Kaltir's Criminal Court Centre. Magistrate Lev Alekseev was selected to preside over the case. Honorable Lev Alekseev, a middle-aged Hharar who graduated from the Kaltir Law Academy, is known for his harsh sentences. The court was full of reporters, students, and researchers wanting to witness what some tabloids called the "Trial of the Decade''. While the defendants were unable to hire an attorney because of their financial situation, they were provided by members of the Commoners Party with a lawyer.

After eight hours of discussion and evidence analysis, the magistrate delivered his verdict:

Agramakova Hanar, a 33 years old Hharar crane operator, was sentenced to 41 years in prison for organizing an unlawful strike, conspiring to murder a law agent, and incitement to violence. Agramakova was born in a family of Amohdan migrants now living in Bar'jar. She was found to be responsible for recruiting the strikes and took part in organizing the armed resistance against the intervention. Despite being accused of having connections to the Al'mariist secret service by the prosecutor, she was absolved of this accusation because of a witness that testified that Hanar took part in the Royalist resistance in Amohda during the war.

Suren Mikoyan, a 41 years old Zhan-Khasan flooring installer, was sentenced to life imprisonment for organizing an unlawful strike, murder of a law agent, and incitement to violence. Mikoyan was born in a family of peasants living in the outskirts of Olska. He became a construction worker after his farm was razed by the Hadiist forces during their occupation of the southern territories. Outside of being one of the main organizers of the strike, Mikoyan took part in the fighting and delivered a killing blow with a sledgehammer against an officer. The prosecutor was unable to find any evidence of his involvement with Hadiist or Al'mariist elements.

Anastas Ryuitin, a 19 years old Zhan-Khasan brick mason, was sentenced to death for organizing an unlawful strike, conspiring to murder a law agent, incitement to violence, insulting the monarch, and for cooperating with hostile governments. Anastas was born in Kaltir, but spent most of his childhood in Tau Ceti; his family moved to the alien system at the dawn of the war. Ryuitin's household returned to Adhomai with the end of the hostilities. Unable to acquire any kind of higher education, Anastas became a construction worker. The prosecutor pointed out that he already had a history of insubordination in his short career; he had been disciplined at least three times before the strike for refusing to follow orders. Ryuitin was the first one to come up with the idea of an unauthorized strike, he also took an active role in making demands. A brief investigation of his past uncovered that he took part in a street gang affiliated with the People's Republic members. Honorable Lev Alekseev concluded that Anastas was a Hadiist element attempting to undermine the Bunker Construction.

The crowd present before Kaltir's Criminal Court Centre was deeply divided between those who believed that the sentences were unfair and those who were glad that the Hadiist spy was found. The Royal Party celebrated the verdict. The Officers Party demanded the death sentence for the rest of the defendants. The Commoners Party asked for Queen Azunja to concede a pardon to the ringleaders. Her Majesty decided against interfering in the sentence.

Protests asking for the release of the prisoners continue. The defense attorney has promised to appeal the judge's decision. Anastas Ryuitin will be executed by a firing squad in five months.

Royal Navy Loses Contact with the Miran’mir Academy Expedition

10.08.2463

Today, the Naval Intelligence Department reported to the Admiralty that all contact with the Miran'mir Academy Expedition has been effectively lost. The expedition, composed of three civilian ships, two icebreakers, and a Royal Navy frigate, departed from Miran'mir three months ago in search of the Minharrzka’s Chosen, a Gunpowder Age ship. The Navy reports that the last radio contact was made one week ago; later attempts to establish communication with the crew failed. Flights over the Ras'val and Sum'add Sea were also unable to identify any trace of the vessels. The last known location of the fleet was around the northernmost regions of the Sum'add sea.

The Parliament erupted in a heated discussion upon receiving the news. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas blamed the Royal and Commoners Party for the loss of a frigate over what he called "the eccentric adventures of a charlatan". The Royal Party suggested continuing the searches until any lead is found; Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed offering a bounty to anyone who provides useful information. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk urged for the Crown to launch a force task to search for the expedition; Grand Admiral Dynhaas promptly refused to dispose of any more military ships. After the shouting was silenced by Her Majesty's orders, Queen Shumaila ordered Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan to continue with the flights over the ocean, while agreeing with the Royal Party's plan of creating a monetary reward in exchange for any clue regarding the expedition's whereabouts. Her Majesty has promised to create a commission if the fleet is not found in the coming months.

Kamyar Hourany, the Miran'mir Academy's museum curator and leader of the expedition, is now considered missing alongside a crew of sailors and scientists. The families of the disappeared implored for the Crown to take immediate action. The Miran'mir College lamented the loss of their staff and expensive equipment in an official bulletin. The Parliament has already issued a bounty of three thousand credits to anyone who provides information leading to the missing ships. Thanks to the promise of a reward, sea captains and fishers have started to organize their own expeditions in search of the fleet.

Investigation Reveals Strike Ties with Terrorist Organization

21.08.2463

A parliament emergency meeting was called today to discuss the full dossier of the Kaltir Bunker Strike. After the Royal Peacekeepers had fully investigated the construction site and the perpetrators, they found evidence linking the strike to an unknown organization. Flyers and phone calls led the law agents to the region around Olska. Through a series of raids and arrests, the Royal Peacekeepers finally identified the group and its purpose: the Adhomian Democratic Front, a terrorist organization plotting to overthrow the Crown. Confiscated documents indicate that the criminals are supposedly trying to create a true democracy in Adhomai by abolishing the monarchy and the titles of nobility. Law agencies believe that the Front was established shortly after the Armistice by Hadiist and Al'mariist spies. Acting under the guise of bringing freedom to the population, the terrorists have been manipulating the commoners to do their bidding. The Peacekeepers were unable to identify the leaders of the movement.

A committee was formed to address the new threat. Despite hours of debate, the Parliament could not compromise with any motion. Three final proposals were presented to Queen Shumaila:

The Royal Party proposed using the Royal Peacekeepers and the constabulary to identify and arrest the group members. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh spoke to the parliament:

Quote

"The abolishment of the Monarchy and its institutions would be the Kingdom's downfall. These criminals must be arrested and punished in the same manner it was done with the agitators in the bunkers' construction site. However, let them not give enough credit to a small criminal organization; the security services are more than enough to deal with them. Her Majesty, he suggests deploying extra peacekeepers at the southern frontier. This will be enough to flush out this rabble."

The Commoners Party suggested caution and giving a chance for dialogue. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk explained their position to the Parliament:

Quote

"While abolishing the Crown is unthinkable and betrays the foundations which the Kingdom is built upon, they must understand why such organization exists in their nation. They must enact further reforms to help their people. The commoners have bled for this land, and they must not be forgotten, despite what others might imply. Serhiy urges Her Majesty to attempt dialogue with the front; maybe they can reach some compromise without further bloodshed."

The Officers Party demanded that the Crown take action as soon as possible by declaring a national emergency and deploying the army to Olska to deal with the organization. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas introduced his plan to Queen Shumaila through a brief speech:

Quote

"The Hadiist and Al'mariist states are involved in this; it is an obvious attempt to undermine the Kingdom from within. Doing anything but crushing these extremists will be a mistake, Her Majesty. Deploy the military to Olska and they will deal with the Front in no time. But since few will agree with this plan, she must declare a national emergency and extend her powers to do what is necessary. There must be no diplomacy with the enemies of the Crown."

The Parliament descended into shouting and accusations after Dynhaas's proposal. Queen Shumaila concluded the meeting without compromising with any of the plans. Instead, the Crown decided to wait for further investigations to take action against the Democratic Front.

The Crown Establishes the Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla

07.09.2463

After months of negotiation and purchases, the Crown has announced today the creation of the Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla. The Mercantile Frotilla was a project envisioned by King Azunja to bring prosperity to the Kingdom by facilitating trade with other galactic powers; Queen Shumaila wisely decided to follow in his footsteps. For the past two years, thousands of civilian ships have been bought from NanoTrasen and Hephaestus Industries. Waiting in harbors above and beyond Adhomai, the fleet can now be deployed in the service of the New Kingdom.

The ships were auctioned to selected companies involved in the fields of shipping, logistics, and commerce. The auction, held in one of the rooms of the Imperial Palace, attracted many guests; business representatives, heads of notable dynasties, and parliamentarians were present. After the main event, a dinner was held to celebrate the successful business. Queen Shumaila was present during both the ceremony and festivities.

All of the ships were sold to national companies, who now must make use of their spacecraft for the betterment of the nation. Any company in the possession of a spaceship destined for trade has become part of the organization known as the Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla. The Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla is a trading company uniting all the businesses involved in commerce with intergalactic entities. The Crown will be actively involved in its administration, presiding over the taxation and regulation of the trade.

Since the Kingdom lacks any kind of space force, the protection of the Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla has to rely on the protection provided by private entities; a contract has already been signed with the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate to safeguard the Mercantile Flotilla for the next five years. Proper training is also being provided by the megacorporations to the employees of the companies.

While the news was well received by most of the Parliament, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas complained about the Crown's priorities; in his opinion, building a military presence in space was a far more pressing matter. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk advised caution when making further deals with megacorporations. Queen Shumaila promised that establishing a space naval force was her next priority.

Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity Opens its Membership to the Public

22.09.2463

The Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity, a private club from Baltor, announced today it has opened its membership to the public. The organization started as a gentlemen club founded in 2460 by army veterans to discuss matters of politics and philosophy. The Fraternity currently meets at the Wounded Ha'rron pub; the establishment closes once per week to host the gatherings. Previously, admission was only possible through invitation.

In the past months, the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity became famous with the local circles for its curious political theory: Revival Royalism. This ideology preaches that the traditional Tajaran caste system is the key to a harmonious society; it aims to restore the supposed peaceful times that existed before the First Contact. The Fraternity has heavily criticized the Crown's instance towards the castes - the organization believes that laws and incentives are necessary to safeguard the existence of the Tajaran ethnicities. The club claims that miscegenation between the different ethnicities deeply hurts the Tajaran people. Some intellectuals denounced Revival Royalism as extremely discriminatory against Tajara of mixed heritage; they also called its theories "pseudoscience and esoterism".

The Fraternity's ideology was first introduced to the public through the book "The Fading Legacy" by Count Tscherim Sanguszkho, the current leader of the Fraternity. The text studies the caste system and how it shaped Tajaran history. Count Sanguszkho, taking inspiration from old myths, claims that the current ethnicities are all descendants of a prehistoric Tajara people; a catastrophic - yet unexplained - event caused this progenitor to decay into multiple races. The traditional caste system was supposedly put in place to prevent further degeneration. Because of their closer ties to the long-lost Tajara, Njarir'Akhran would be the best candidates to rule. Tscherim denounces interbreeding between the ethnicities as the greatest danger to the Tajara; mixed heritage individuals, unable to fulfill any role in society, would eclipse what is left of the ancient legacy. The Tajara, without proper guidance, would soon collapse into untold barbarism.  In its final chapters, the book establishes the main proposals of Revival Royalism for the New Kingdom.

Count Tscherim Sanguszkho offered a brief statement to the Royal Telegraph:

Quote

"The mission of the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity is one: to bring greatness to the New Kingdom. They already agree that the traditional caste system is a natural and unchangeable element of their people. The preservation of their way of life is paramount - they must act in its defense! The Fraternity desires to return their society to its former glory; to reconquer a world where all Tajara are guaranteed their place. But they must consider the shameful practice that some of them have been involved with: the dissolution of their blood. A Tajara without a definitive heritage has no purpose besides contributing to the downfall of their civilization. But do not be alarmed by his rhetoric, they can find a place for everyone."

The organization has expressed interest in participating in the Kingdom's politics; some of its members, including its leader, are already part of the Royal Parliament. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk protested against the Fraternity - Oliinyk called for the Crown to ban it. Queen Shumaila Azunja did not comment on the matter.

Anyone planning to join the Fraternity must hold a title of nobility, have high morals, and undergo an ancestry check to verify their Njarir'Akhran heritage.

Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity is Granted Party Status by the Parliament

12.10.2463

The Royal Parliament has voted today to decide on the establishment of a new political party: the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity. The group applied to officially become part of the Kingdom's politics last week; some of its members already hold parliamentarian positions. While the constitutions permit the creation of more political parties, no one has lodged a request until now. The proposal also includes the creation of extra hereditary seats; the Chamber of Commoners is not affected by the project.

The discussion in the Parliament was accompanied by hours of shouting, negotiations, and accusations. The Officers Party unanimously supported the creation of the new party. The Royal Party remained deeply divided; some opposed the proposal because of the Fraternity's radical ideas. The Commoners Party was fully against the project. The Chamber of Commoners voted against it; however, their decision was overturned by the Parliament. The project could not acquire the necessary majority without further support from the Royal Party. Queen Shumaila Azunja, while initially against the motion, decided to not veto the proposal.

Prince Serhiy Oliink spoke on behalf of his party to Her Majesty:

Quote

"Allowing these extremists to have a voice in the Parliament would be a grave mistake, Her Majesty. While the Kingdom recognizes the importance of the traditional Tajaran roles, it is not their duty to enforce them. Do not betray what her uncle, King Vahzirthaamro, fought for. They will never support this proposal."

The deadlock was solved after a private meeting between Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh, and Count Tscherim Sanguszkho. Some members of the Royal Party changed their votes at the request of Duke Yudenikh. Despite the protests of the Commoners Party, Queen Shumaila refused to veto the decision. The Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity is now the fourth official Party; all of its members were previously part of the Officers and Royal Party. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho was elected to be its leader. The recipients of the new hereditary seats will be selected by Her Majesty in the next few weeks.

The Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity is now the new minority in the Parliament. The Royal and Officers parties have lost members, while the Commoners Party kept its current strength. The Fraternity promised to continue holding its weekly meetings; the organization plans to maintain its activities to all of its affiliates.

The Parliament Discuss the Growing Tensions in the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders

23.10.2463

Government and Nomadic representatives from the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders met today with the Parliament to discuss the growing tensions in the semi-autonomous province. While conflict between the settlers and the nomadic population was already commonplace, skirmishes are becoming more frequent. The local constabulary is overwhelmed; the small officer corps has to cover large distances in the rural region to answer any call. Unable to count on the Crown's protections, the settlers are starting to organize themselves into militias. Squads of armed farmhands and ranchers patrol the properties in search of any nomadic caravan trespassing. Believing themselves to be the rightful owners of these lands, the Rhazar'Hrujmagh rarely retreat without a fight.

The settler's representatives asked for the Crown to send reinforcements to protect them from the Nomads. The Rock Nomads requested the dissolution of the militias. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh urged Her Majesty to deploy the army to protect the farms and ranches of the Host; he claimed that most of the land was being wasted because of the nomad's presence. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas sided with the Rhazar'Hrujmagh; Dynhaas argued that the nomadic caravans are a necessary part of their border defense and should not be disrupted. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested moving a portion of the constabulary from the northern regions to the south to prevent further escalation. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho praised what he called the "Nomadic Warrior Spirit" and proposed resettling all sedentary populations to other provinces.

The Rock Nomad delegate spoke on behalf of King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik to the parliament:

Quote

"Their people fought and died for the Kingdom. Rustam Harmaliik made a deal with King Vahzirthaamro Azunja. Her Majesty must respect the arrangement or the caravans will no longer ride for Queen Shumaila."

After consulting with Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan, Queen Shumaila decided to move some northern constabulary forces to the Nomadic Host for the time being. Royal Peacekeepers involved in the Adhomian Democratic Front's investigation are also being deployed to uncover the cause of the hostilities. Grand Duke Yudenikh warned Her Majesty about spreading the Kingdom's internal security too thinly.
