Rescue Mission Finds Leads on the Missing Expedition!

03.07.2464

The Rescue Mission reported this morning the discovery of a new lead on the missing expedition: the HMS Iceberg-Crusher, one of the expedition's icebreakers, was found. The ship was discovered by a group of Academy explorers and Zarr'jiri troops. The Iceberg-Crusher was stranded on the shores of the Pole's landmass. Upon boarding the vessel, the team discovered that its crew had brought all of its supplies with them when abandoning the ship. Due to the conditions of its interior, the mission estimated that the icebreaker was deserted four months ago. No crewmember or animal was found. The hull and machinery were in perfect condition. It is currently unknown what exactly happened.

However, a note, likely left behind by a sailor, was found. The page explains little, but casts doubts on the expedition's final fate:

Quote

"Little food is left. They are now eating the Sfahn'Zamhir they can find. Captain told them to get anything they can carry. They are going to the land soon. Mata'ke help them."

At the Parliament, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas urged Her Majesty to abandon the search for what might be a doomed expedition. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh opposed any kind of withdrawal and insisted on continuing. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk agreed with the Grand Duke, suggesting that the expedition could not have gone very far. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho also wanted to continue the rescue mission, he further argued that they were closer than ever to making the "greatest Tajaran discovery". Queen Shumaila Azunja decided on continuing the efforts.

HMS Iceberg-Crusher is currently being towed back to Miran'mir by the Minharrzka Maritime Company; the Royal Navy has been tasked with scouting the ship. Back at the Kingdom, the icebreaker will be searched again and prepared to return to duty. Speculations about what happened with the missing expedition became one of the most discussed subjects in the nation. The discovery is currently trending on social media and extranet forums.

Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla Reports Issues

07.07.2464

A report of Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla has reached the Parliament today indicating issues with the upkeep of the flotilla. It is becoming a nearly regular occurrence that various ships of the fleet suddenly end up over their projected spending budget after purchasing enough fuel and hiring escorts for their route.

The vast majority of the flotilla use phoron-based drive for long distance travel, which is currently causing the trading companies significant problems in terms of generating income. With the price of phoron on a steady climb, the flotilla’s profits have been on an opposite trend, with it projected to stop earning any profit within a month. Having noted the urgency, the Parliament spiraled into discussions as to what could be done to remedy this.

Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed to get in contact with megacorporations to secure better deals with them, using the cost of transit as leverage to gain better contracts for the flotilla to offset the costs. He suggested that getting into another partnership with the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate would be a good choice, especially as some of its members are the major clients for the flotilla’s ships.

Yudenikh’s statements were interjected by Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, who stated that shackling Her Majesty’s flotilla to foreign corporate interests was the opposite of what they should do. When questioned by Prince Serhiy Oliinyk on what they should do instead, Dynhaas eventually said that if the flotilla is unsustainable, then they should just mothball the ships and divert the funds back to the Royal Navy and the Maritime Company to promote trade locally.

Count Tscherim Sanguszkho proposed to convert the flotilla for a different purpose - refit them militarily to be able to enforce the New Kingdom’s orbit instead. Some members of the Officer’s Party showed agreement, but members of the Commoner’s Party seemed equally displeased. Prince Oliinyk asked how that would help solve the economic situation, to which the Count started to rant about implementing space taxes. His rant was eventually interrupted by Her Majesty, who requested to start voting on the proposals.

The proposal to seek establishing a partnership with the SCC passed, with the majority of the Royal and Commoner parties voting in its favour. The Officer’s Party and the Fraternity had their votes split between weaponizing the Flotilla, or mothballing it. The Crown will now seek to negotiate with the SCC in order to establish a mutually beneficial deal.

Clashes Continue in the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders; Thirty Dead in Recent Confrontation

15.07.2464

The royal constabulary has delivered a worrying report on the current situation at the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders: despite the reinforcements, the violence has only escalated between the nomads and the locals. Farmer's militias have solidified themselves as an authority; little has been done to break them up. The caravans have refused to follow orders given by the officers and just a handful of trespassing Zhans were ever arrested.

While most of the clashes left a few dead and some wounded, the tipping point happened three days ago. A caravan entered "Little Nav'twir Ranch", a large rural property, to let its animals graze. A farmhand, upon seeing the nomads, alerted a militia about their presence. When confronted by the armed Tajara, the Rhazar'Hrujmagh refused to leave. Clearly outnumbered, the settlers called for another group to join them. The caravan also summoned more of their own. In a matter of an hour, five hundred armed Tajara gathered at the farm. It is unsure who opened fire first, but at some point, a shootout broke out between both parties. A battle took place in the fields, with the militia taking cover in a barn as the nomadic wagons advanced against them. A machine gun was used by the locals to fend off the Rock nomad advance. The fighting was only subdued when a large force of constables arrived at the ranch.

Thirty Tajara were killed during the confrontation, more than half of them were Rhazar'Hrujmagh. At least one hundred were wounded due to the incident. The news of the battle quickly spread through the Host. Several minor skirmishes and acts of reprisal between nomads and the settlers soon followed, overwhelming the constabulary. It is unsure how many perished in the riots. The situation is currently under control, but the constabulary is worried about the possibility of more similar incidents.

The Battle of Little Nav'twir Ranch, the name given by the locals to the clash, was discussed by the Parliament today. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas pressed for Her Majesty to deploy the military in the Host; he claimed that the violence was orchestrated by the Adhomai Democratic Front to destabilize the Kingdom. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh suggested hiring more corporate security forces to aid the constabulary. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho argued for no intervention this time; he explained that by allowing the violence to continue, they could train the Nomadic forces for a future armed conflict. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk, worried about the reports of the use of military-grade weaponry by the militias, asked for Her Majesty to deploy more of the Kingdom's intelligence service in the area to investigate the source of the armament. Queen Shumaila Azunja, after consulting with Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky, decided to go with Oliinyk's suggestion.

Nomadic representatives refused to comment on the battle. The ongoing instability in the southern frontier is currently being widely discussed in the Kingdom's streets, pubs, and social media. Some fear that it might soon cause an incident with the Liberation Army. The Crown confirmed that Peacekeepers and other intelligence agents have been already dispatched to the Host.

Temple of Kraszar to Cooperate with Miran'mir Academy to Digitalize its Archive

24.07.2464

Because of the ignorance of the rebels, countless historical texts were destroyed during the First Civil. Most of the pre-war literature is believed to be totally lost. To avoid another cultural catastrophe, Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits has been working on storing all of its documents in digital format. Most of its archive has been digitalized and is currently available online in the Miran'mir Archive extranet domain. Even if the physical copy is destroyed, researchers will still be able to study its contents no matter where they are.

The Temple of Kraszar's library is one of the few pre-contact libraries to have avoided any kind of destruction during the uprisings. Built to store significant religious texts and train the priesthood of the God of knowledge, the temple in Olska was spared because of its spiritual importance. As a sign of respect to Kraszar, the nobility used to donate books to the holy library. Until now, this trove of historical treasures has been inaccessible to the efforts of the Miran'mir Academy.

After years of negotiation between the college and the priesthood, they have finally reached an agreement that will allow the academy to scan and digitalize a part of the temple's documents. Most of the collection is composed of religious texts and folk tales, however, some believe that the library still holds rare and thought to be lost books. The priesthood did not allow access to its most ancient and valuable pieces, which are rumored to be stored in secret safes.

The Temple of Kraszar's archive will also be available online. Digitalizing the entire inventory will supposedly take three years. The Miran'mir Academy's academic body called the effort "essential to preserve the Tajaran history". Without the collaboration between the traditional clergy and the modern scholars, much valuable knowledge would remain inaccessible to the brightest minds of their generation.

Arctic Expedition Registers an Unobserved Anomaly

03.08.2464

Yevgeniy Chalnik has delivered today a report on an anomaly discovered by the Rescue Mission. The phenomenon was first observed when Little Kaltir tried to contact an expedition team on the site through the radio during a storm. However, the radio and other electronics were acting erratically; the compasses' needles were also spinning violently. The disruption stopped after the tempest died down.

Further observations were carried out during the next storms. The expedition was able to verify that while most blizzards did not affect any of the base's equipment, a small number of them caused the same effects. Yevgeniy Chalnik currently theorizes that the anomaly is caused by some kind of magnetic disruption in the poles' region. The phenomenon might also have played a role in the vanishing of the Academy's lost expedition. Prince Arseny Rogozhin argued that the storms were in fact caused by a flow of pure energy that escaped from a cavern system linked to Aghar'mahrk.

The discovery of the anomaly renewed Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits' interest in the North Pole. The university's halls were busy analyzing the data sent from Little Kaltir and discussing the two theories. So far, Chalnik's idea is the most well-accepted by the academic body. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk and Count Tscherim Sanguszkho congratulated the Mission on its discovery. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky showed interest in further researching the Magnetic Storm anomaly, suggesting that it could be somehow controlled.

Field Marshal Klyuchevsky's Bill Denied By Parliament

11.08.2464

Since the conclusion of the Second Revolution and the restoration of the Azunja dynasty on the throne of the New Kingdom a persistent issue has plagued the Kingdom. A minority of the millions of men left behind by the war have, at times, struggled to re-integrate to society with the shellshock and physical injuries left by the war. This is to say nothing of the Tajara who gave their lives defending the Kingdom and its peoples. It is present in many rural areas of Old Kaltir, Harr’nrr, and in the Zarr’jirah mountain towns. Children are raised by their grandparents, women have been taking jobs intended for men, and some veterans who returned are often destitute and unable to work as they once had. The economic issues of this have been poured over with many experts arguing over whether the Kingdom’s industrialization shall “balance out” this problem or if the citizenry will continue to face issues from the casualties of the war for decades to come.

Field-marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky today in the Royal Parliament took to the podium to discuss this matter as it applies to the Imperial Army. The opening statement of the session, dictated by the Field-Marshal, began as thus:

Quote

"The census has given us the more definite answer on the question of manpower. And the answer is that we are facing a potential shortage of military aged men for the army. Even with the blood tax, we will struggle to field a fully manned army without slashing the age requirements. Let it be known on the public record that statement was not this one endorsing such a policy. What we must do at this point is to take a long look at how we use our military and alam’drii, the backbone of our army, and how we can get more to sign on voluntarily."

This speech preceded a proposed bill to increase the wages paid to Alam’rii in the army. After the Field-Marshal took his seat beside the Queen, voting began. The Royal Party nearly-unanimously voted against the bill. Several parliamentarians proclaimed it as unnecessary while some claimed that it was biased that the wage increase would only go to Alam’drii, hence their lack of support for it. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh stated that it would be better to increase reserves and conscription even in peacetime. The Field-Marshal somewhat agreed with the Grand Duke on the matter of increasing reserves. The Commoner Party had unanimously voted in approval for the bill. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk congratulated the Field-Marshal on keeping the humble footsoldier in mind. The Officers’ Party voted roughly a quarter in support, with most of those parliamentarians being noted as having been military officers themselves. The rest of the party voted in accordance with party leader Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas against the bill. Dynhaas uncharacteristically did not have anything to say about the bill. The Renewal Fraternity and Count Tscherim Sanguszkho voted against the bill and stated that they were simply standing with allies in the Royal Party.

The bill failed to pass. The Field-Marshal gave his thanks to the Queen and Prince Oliinyk for their assistance before departing to attend a field exercise later today.

Corporate Reinforcements Fully Deployed on the Borderlands

18.08.2464

Corporate security forces, hired after an organized attack on the constabulary, are now acting in full capacity at the Borderlands. The contractors are currently tasked with protecting installations and escorting convoys. Offensive operations are being held back until more information is gathered by the intelligence services. The Adhomai Democratic Front did not deliver any kind of demands since the raid. Some members of the Parliament suspect that they might not even be behind the incident.

The presence of the PMCG has deeply divided the population in the Borderlands. Protests against the contractors have taken place in towns and cities, including Olska. Protestors claim that the alien security forces are only in the region to murder and loot. So far, no violent incidents have been registered. The constabulary commented that the ongoing demonstrations are straining its forces even more. Despite the opposition, some locals have displayed support for the SCC forces by gifting them dishes and baskets of fruits.

At the Parliament, Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh suggested expanding the duties of the contractors to ease the burden of the constabulary. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas complained the corporate presence on the Borderlands was only worsening the security situation in the region. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho proposed dispersing the protests in the same manner the Queen dealt with the Kaltir Bunker's strikes. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk advocated for creating a commission to watch closely the PMCG in the southern borders. Queen Shumaila Azunja expressed interest in the Commoners Party's proposal but decided to wait until the protests subside to make a decision.

The Royal Army did not report any abnormal movement from the Liberation Army on the DPRA border since the arrival of the security contractors.

Her Majesty Meets with the Amohdan Community

27.08.2464

Queen Shumaila Azunja and the Crown Heir visited the Amohdan community in Bar'jar today. The exiles were brought from the Island of Amohda after the war as a part of the ceasefire between the Kingdom and the Democratic People's Republic. Since then, they dream of returning to their homeland. But due to the armistice, these plans are far from materializing. Currently, Amohda is occupied by the Liberation Army after a failed attempt to secede. Amohdans in the New Kingdom claim that the ALA is attempting to destroy the island's traditional culture.

At Bar'jar, Her Majesty met with some community leaders and spoke about the situation of the exiles. She assured that the Kingdom did not give up on recovering Amohda; however, she claimed that the Crown was not yet in the position to put any plan in action. While most Amohdans still seem to support Her Majesty, some voiced dissatisfaction with the lack of any real progress towards recovering their homeland. After the meeting, Queen Shumaila and Crown Heir Zhakmar watched a cultural display involving a simulated sword duel between two skilled fighters. One swordsman master offered to make an exception and allow Zhakmar to join a lodge and learn the martial art; Queen Shumaila turned down the offer, citing his young age as the reason.

Her Majesty's visit to Bar'jar reignited the discussions related to what the exiles would do after reconquering the Island. At the moment, most wanted Amohda to become a province in the New Kingdom. A second group proposed the creation of a dual monarchy, with an Amohdan noble ascending to the throne of the Empire; who would be the King is uncertain, as many Tajara claim the right to ascension and no one is recognized by most Amohdans as the rightful claimant. A small faction still aims to create a fully independent Amohda. Queen Shumaila did not comment on this dispute.

Idris Incorporated Opens its First Resort in the Kingdom

10.09.2464

As part of a deal between the Crown and the SCC, Idris Incorporated inaugurated its first luxury resort in the Peninsula of Harr'nrr yesterday. While summer houses have always been popular in the region, the market was dominated by national companies until now. "Harr'nrr Haven" is a luxury resort designed to cater to the nobility and intergalactic tourists. Constructed in the corporate style, it claims to combine traditional hospitality with top-of-line facilities. All of its staff - with exception of the managers, who come from off-world corporate positions - are locals employed and trained by the Idris. As part of its inauguration, the resort reserved prime time on the television and radio for its advertisement. Reservations for this season and the next one have reportedly already sold out.

The opening of the Harr'nrr Haven was briefly discussed in a Parliament meeting. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh pointed out the inauguration as a sign of the prosperity brought by the presence of the corporations. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas called the resort a "blemish on their beautiful shores". Prince Serhiy Oliinyk proposed creating laws to favor national businesses over corporate ones. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho argued that no true Tajara would frequent this kind of establishment due to the low quality of the alcohol served in their bars. After reaching a common ground towards the growing corporate presence in the discussion, the Officers and Commoners parties proposed further collaboration on this front.

On the extranet, the inauguration was well-received by the urban nobility, who are known to enjoy spending the summer on the coast. Commoners dismissed the resort as another luxury they will never enjoy. Some local tourism agencies offered special offers in response to the opening. Idris Incorporate representatives promised further expansion of their operations in the Kingdom following the initial success of the Harr'nrr Haven.

Weapon Smuggling Scheme Discovered; Corruption Within the Army!

19.09.2464

The Royal Peacekeepers delivered today a report detailing a corruption scheme to smuggle weapons to settlers at the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders. Weaponry was being diverted from the Royal Army's armories and sold to the paramilitaries by low-ranking officers. The plot was discovered after agents successfully infiltrated one of the local militias. Searches revealed that silos and barns were being used to store illegally acquired weapons and ammunition. Multiple suspects have already been detained. The peacekeepers are now investigating if any member of the high command was aware or was involved in the case. The motivations behind the scheme are still unclear.

Upon hearing of the report, the Parliament quickly descended into arguments and shouting. The Royal and Commoners parties accused the military of betraying the Kingdom. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas denied that any high-ranking member of the military was part of the scheme. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh suggested legalizing more types of weapons, so the local militias might not need to rely on the black market. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk called for a complete investigation of the entire military and its branches. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho proposed distributing weapons to the Nomads to "even the odds". Nomadic representatives thanked the Crown for investigating the clash but refrained from making any demands.

Despite the protests of the Officers Party and the Grand Admiral, Queen Shumaila Azunj and Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky agreed to Prince Oliinyk's suggestion. The military was tasked with collaborating with the Peacekeepers to identify and stop any other corruption schemes that might exist. Klyuchevsky promised that anyone involved in the smuggling would be promptly removed.

Two months after the Battle of Little Nav'twir Ranch, the climate at the Host remains tense. Due to the military-grade weapons at the hands of the local militias, nomadic caravans are now roaming in larger numbers. While sporadic clashes are still being reported, no other major confrontation took place. It is unsure how the discovery of the smuggling scheme will affect the ongoing situation.

Scientific Expedition Discovers Frozen Mummy

01.10.2464

While searching for the lost academy staff, the arctic expedition uncovered what is being called the archaeological finding of the century: a prehistoric Tajaran mummy. The body was found partially buried in the ice. At first, the explorers believed they came across a deceased member of the Miran'mir academy. However, upon unearthing the remnants, they realized that they stumbled upon an invaluable discovery. The finding was brought to Little Kaltir, where it was placed in a freezer until it could be examined. Thanks to the extreme conditions of the pole, the cadaver is remarkably well preserved.

Professor Yevgeniy Chalnik was rushed back to Little Kaltir to examine the mummy. The body has a phenotype similar to a Zhan-Khazan, with dark fur and a large build. The cadaver was wearing a Nav'twir pelt outfit. A bronze hatchet and a crude fishing rod were found among his belongings. A small wooden boat was also discovered under the mummy. An analysis of the stomach contents revealed that he ate some berries and meat before dying. The cause of death is believed to be hypothermia. Yevgeniy believes that the mummy was once a fisherman who got lost and ended up at the north pole. Preliminary carbon analysis of the specimen hinted that the remains are at least three thousand years old. The finding was named the "Arctic Mummy" by professor Chalnik. Prince Arseny Rogozhin theorized that the dead Tajara was in fact a messenger of the Ancient Tajara sent to contact the old Njarir nobility.

The discovery of the Arctic Mummy was widely debated in the Kingdom's social circles and the Adhomian extranet. Forums users debated if the cadaver was somehow related to the Ancient Tajara theory. Academics have already begun to theorize about the Zhan's past life. The finding was also discussed in a Parliament meeting. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk congratulated the expedition and praised their quick response in preserving the mummy. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh suggested investing even further in the archeological aspect of the polar mission. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh argued that Yevgeniy was wasting time "digging up bodies", and should instead focus his efforts on searching for the missing ships. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho claimed that the mummy was the definitive proof of the existence of the Ancient Tajara race; upon hearing that the body was closer to a Zhan than a Njarir, the count instead argued that it was in fact evidence of the degeneration that split the ancestral Adhomian people. At the request of Her Majesty, the Parliament voted and approved expanding the expedition's budget.

Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits has already dispatched extra equipment and specialists to help study the Arctic Mummy. Minharrzka Maritime Company announced it was negotiating a deal with the college; details of the agreement are currently unknown.

Corporate Commander is Killed in the Borderlands

18.10.2464

Worrying news arrived from the Borderlands this morning: a PMCG officer was killed during an ambush in the region. The attack happened when a convoy carrying supplies to the Constabulary was fired upon by hidden snipers. The trucks were currently being escorted by the corporate forces who exchanged fire with the bandits. The skirmish caused the death of the commander of the group, who was mortally wounded in the chest. Despite the best attempts of the medical staff on-site, he could not be saved. The incident marks the first death among the PMCG ranks since they arrived in the New Kingdom.

The incident sparked an argument in the Parliament. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas called the contractors ineffective and demanded their withdrawal. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed hiring more corporate forces or allowing them to take part in offensive operations. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk was against contracting extra PMCG forces and supported a diplomatic approach to the tensions in the Borderlands. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho proposed cutting all of the vegetation in the area and filling the valleys with concrete, so the guerillas would have no place to hide. Her Majesty decided to contact PMCG liaisons for advice. The representatives propose deploying reinforcements. Queen Shumaila Azunja decided against taking any action but warned the insurgents that further aggression would result in harsher measures.

No group claimed the responsibility for the attack. The Royal Peacekeepers suspect the ambush was staged by the Adhomai Democratic Front. The body of the officer was already dispatched to Kaltir. The Private Military Contracting Group issued no official statement about the incident. Some members of the military command have voiced concerns about the growing violence in the Borderlands.

The Kingdom Commemorates the Restoration Day

27.10.2464

Today the Kingdom celebrates its second day of Restoration since the death of its first monarch, King Vahzirthaamro. This holiday commemorates the return of Kaltir to the control of its rightful rulers, the Azunja dynasty. In the typical fashion, pubs, theaters, and resorts were bustling with activity during the entire day. The population gathered in the streets to eat, drink, and celebrate the independence of their nation from the Hadiist occupation. The Crown Herald broadcasted some of Vahzirthaamro and the Queen's speeches alongside patriotic songs.

A military parade marched through Kaltir as part of the celebrations. The procession was led by Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky. Ras'nrr Expeditionary Force Marines and sailors followed the Field-Marshal. Imperial Dragoons and Royal Grenadiers inaugurated the army presence of the march. The Alam'ard followed closely behind the special forces. Auxiliary troops, as the tradition dictates, were the last ones in the parade. Queen Shumaila Azunja, Crown Heir Zhakmar, and Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan, the previous Field-Marshal who was personally invited by Her Majesty, watched the procession as it passed by the Imperial Palace. Crown Heir Zhakmar was supposedly startled by ship cannons firing at the city's harbor but managed to hold back his tears.

Following the march, Her Majesty invited the nobility, the Parliament, and other selected guests to the Imperial Palace to take part in the festivities. A feast was organized in one of the restored chambers. New and old works of art were displayed across the room; many of the pieces were about the Kingdom's victories in historical conflicts and the previous independence war. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh spent an hour discussing with Her Majesty the coming appointment of the regent; she assured him that a decision would be taken soon. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas talked to some reporters about his exploits against the Hadiist menace until he departed to celebrate with some members of the navy command at the Kingdom's coast. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk spent some time at the feast meeting with some of his allies before heading back to his home to spend the holiday with his family. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho left the party after supposedly drinking four bottles of Nm'shaan Liquor. King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik was invited but did not attend.

The community at Little Adhomai also took part in the celebration. The Sleeping Cannon Pub was at its maximum capacity as the locals gathered to feast and watch the parade. The arctic expedition organized a party with their own supplies of mead, fermented Hma'trra, and Sfahn'Zamhir meat.

Baltor Holds Fine Art Exhibition

03.11.2464

Famous for its artisans and artists, the city of Baltor in the Peninsula of Harr'nrr hosted today its first Fine Arts Exhibition. The event was organized by the town's administration to promote its artistic community. Tajara from across the Kingdom gathered to take part in the festival, including notable celebrities such as the Crown Voices. At the main square, before the Mez'gin clock tower, the expositors exhibited their pieces. Paintings, sculptures, books, artisanal products, and much more were available for purchase. Music and theatrical presentations were held to entertain the guests. Handcrafted mead and liquor stands were also available for degustation.

While Her Majesty was unable to take part in the event, some notable members of the Parliament were present. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas bought several statues commemorating some of the battles he took part in. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh arrived to negotiate a deal with a group of painters to decorate one of his recently acquired summer mansions. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk attended the shows of the Crown Voices. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho, after acquiring barrels of alcohol, purchased a large painting depicting the mythical entrance to Aghar'mahrk.

The event was hailed as a success by the nobility; many tabloids praised it for its high taste. However, some of the commoners complained about the high prices and lack of accessibility; most of the pieces were supposedly designed for the nobles. Prince Oliinyk argued that the Kingdom was in dire need of more popular exhibitions. The Commoners Party proposed organizing a commoner's festival in the future.

Her Majesty Tours the Nomadic Host of the Southern Borders

13.11.2464

Despite the growing tensions in the region, Queen Shumaila Azunja and the Crown Heir toured the Host of the Southern Borders today. Created at the end of the war, the Host is a semi-autonomous province home to the Rhazar'Hrujmagh loyal to the Kingdom. However, recent clashes with the settlers have resulted in deaths and dissatisfaction towards the Crown in the region. With the visit, Her Majesty planned to listen to some concerns and try to bring some so-needed conciliation to the Host.

Escorted by the Royal Constabulary and the Peacekeepers, Her Majesty began the tour by visiting some ranches. After dining with the local settler leadership, she heard their complaints regarding the actions of the nomads. They claimed that the caravans frequently invaded their land and stole their cattle's pastures. The settlers also asked for Her Majesty to allow the military to provide security in the region instead of the Constabulary. Queen Azunja argued that the internal security of the nation was not part of the Army's duties. Before leaving, Queen Shumaila promised she would do her best to find a peaceful solution.

The visit continued as Her Majesty's party met with the King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik's caravan. The meeting began with an invitation to watch some N'hanzafu Roping. During the game, the calf was accidentally trampled, causing Crown Heir Zhakmar to break down in tears. After the match, Queen Shumaila and Zhakmar entered Rustam's Wagon to feast and talk. The N'hanzafu who was killed during the roping was served to the guests; the Crown Heir refused to eat its meat. When Her Majesty tried to address the ongoing violence in the region, the Nomadic King refused to consider any compromise with the settlers. He argued that the only solution would be acquiring more land for the Rhazar'Hrujmagh to roam; something only possible through military action. Queen Azunja agreed that unifying Adhomai was part of the Kingdom's long-term plans. The tour ended briefly after the discussion.

Her Majesty returned to Kaltir without making any progress toward a conciliation. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas used the King of the Mountains' position as an argument to argue further in favor of military deployment in the Host.

Polar Expedition Expands its Archeological Effort

22.11.2464

Since the discovery of the Arctic Tajara, the interest in the Polar Expedition has only grown. To help with further endeavors, the Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits sealed a deal with Minharrzka Maritime Company to build a mobile research base: Kraszar's Vessel, a large ship specially designed for scientific purposes. The boat has multiple laboratories capable of performing experiments in the field of biology, botany, and archeology. To preserve any newfound species, an aquarium capable of simulating the condition of the polar sea was installed in its marine section. The ship is also equipped with its own submersible dock and an autogyro flight deck. The crew was entirely supplied by the Miran'mir college.

Kraszar's Vessel departed this morning to the north pole. A crowd gathered at the port of Miran'mir to witness it set sail for the first time. The ship, despite its size, is unarmed and had to be escorted by the Royal Navy. Professor Yevgeniy Chalnik promised to use it to search for valuable wrecks as soon as possible. Captain Tajrhalrr Zarkradhir complained to his superiors about having to protect another civilian ship. At the Parliament, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas relayed the captain's concerns and requested more funds for the navy. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed commissioning more ships similar to the Kraszar's Vessel. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested investing in other technologies, so they may not grow too dependent on the Kingdom's maritime advantage. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho advocated for digging into the north pole crust, in search of anything valuable below the ice. Queen Shumaila refrained from taking any decision until the efficacy of the new ship is proven.

While no new clue regarding the whereabouts of the missing expedition was found recently, the arctic mission's popularity is at an all-time high since the discovery of the Arctic Mummy. Professor Yevgeniy published new findings regarding the corpse. The remains were confirmed to be four thousand years old, making it the first and only known Proto-Zhan mummy. Objects found in the body matched findings from the same period found in the Khazan mountains prior to the first contact. The Arctic Mummy remains at Little Kaltir until the Miran'mir Academy can prepare proper storage for it. Prince Arseny proposed handing over the body to the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity, so they may unlock its hidden potential. Chalnik denied Rogozhin's request.

Crown Seals Deals to Acquire Orbital Shipwrights

04.12.2464

After months of negotiations, the Crown and the SCC signed a contract to construct orbital shipwrights for the Kingdom's use. This deal is the first step in the efforts to create a space navy for the country. In exchange for further economic rights and resource extraction permissions, Hephaestus Industries will build and equip these facilities in Adhomai's orbits. A team of national engineers is currently working alongside corporate specialists to develop the blueprints and necessary technologies to launch the first Royalist spaceship. The shipwrights will be crewed mostly by corporate employers until enough Tajara have been trained to take over their duties.

The deal was generally well-received by the Parliament. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh, who worked alongside Queen Shumaila during the negotiations, praised the Kingdom's efforts in creating another avenue to boost its fast-growing economy. Despite opposing the corporate help, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas agreed that building a space navy is the correct decision. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk urged the Crown to invest even further in higher education so the country would not need to rely even more on selling its resources to the SCC. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho opposed the deal, arguing that they had instead to look inward, instead of outside. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky announced that he was already organizing a department to handle the new force.

The structure of the space force is still unknown. To quickly build up its numbers, the Crown plans to purchase outdated corporate ships to refit in the shipwrights. In a similar manner to the Mercantile Flotilla, the orbital factories will be sold to national corporations willing to carry out the business of producing military ships. Upon hearing of this possibility, many noble families contacted the SCC to acquire the needed training and equipment to start this trade.

Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky expects that the space force will be ready next year.

Crown Secures Further Deal to Safeguard Her Majesty's Mercantile Flotilla's Future

14.12.2464

Following the negotiations reported ten days ago, the Crown has now announced that it has secured a second deal with the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate regarding Her Majesty’s Mercantile Flotilla. Following the reports to the Parliament from a few months ago, the Flotilla has been steadily incurring negative profits caused by the Phoron crisis, and a solution has finally been found. The fleet will now spend a significant amount of their interstellar shipments for the SCC in exchange for a more steady profitable income, and the Conglomerate will cover the fuel, repair and escort fees that the ships will incur during contracted voyages.

The majority of the Flotilla will now be expected to fly shipments on behalf of the SCC in various regions of space, along with occasional specific orders from individual members of the Conglomerate. Idris Incorporated was a major proponent of the deal. As a result of negotiations, Idris subsidiary Caishen Jewellers has expanded on its original partnership by receiving exclusive rights on certain luxury exports, such as the watches made by artisan watchmakers in Baltor, and polished gems extracted from the mines based in the Zarr’jirah Mountains. It is expected that the fleet will spend most of its time shipping goods across the Corporate Reconstruction Zone.

Queen Shumaila, as part of the announcement, has stated that a rotating part of the Flotilla will remain without a contract to ensure that the Crown can commandeer it for special tasks or shipments. This part of the flotilla will continue operating as before, importing and exporting the Kingdom’s goods to off-planet communities and partners, with the occasional Crown-mandated shipments during celebrations and events.

This deal has been met with mixed feelings in the parliament. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh praised the quick negotiations, while some members of the parliament expressed disappointment that the flotilla was not used for a better purpose. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas seemed particularly displeased, complaining about the priorities shifting towards megacorporations rather than the Kingdom and its people. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk seemed to be satisfied with the terms of the deal, but advised to keep a watchful eye on the operations to ensure it is not abused by the megacorporations.

Bombing Attempt Interrupts Parliament Meeting!

27.12.2464

The position of Appointed Regent was created one year ago due to the election of the current Crown Heir, Zhakmar Azunja. Since the heir is underage, a regency would be necessary if he was to ascend to the throne. So far, no one was chosen by Her Majesty for the role. The Crown announced that Queen Azunja would make a decision in today's meeting. The Parliament registered maximum attendance as all of its members gathered for this historical event. Before anything could be discussed, the session was interrupted by the constabulary on site: a bomb was found in the Parliament.

The explosive was found by the building security inside a box left under some ladders. The bomb was running on a timer and was set to explode in one hour. The Parliament was evacuated as the Royal Peacekeepers were called to defuse the device. The disposal occurred without any incidents. A preliminary analysis of the explosive revealed it was likely made by an amateur. In 2459, the Parliament was the target of a bombing attack. The building will remain closed for the rest of the week as the law agents collect further evidence.

From the Kaltir Imperial Palace, Queen Shumaila thanked the constabulary and the Peacekeepers for stopping the attack. She decided to delay the decision regarding the appointment of the regent due to security concerns. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas claimed that the Liberation Army was likely behind the incident. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh recommended the Crown not to take any action until the investigation has been concluded. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk called the episode "proof that extremism is on the rise in the Kingdom". Count Tscherim Sanguszkho argued that since the explosive was badly hidden, it was likely the work of a half-bred Tajara.

At the request of her Majesty, Extra constabulary forces are currently patrolling the streets of Kaltir. The Crown promised to further tighten up the security in its buildings. A bounty of two thousand credits has also been offered to anyone who has information regarding the incident. Parliament meetings are expected to return next year. No group or individual claimed responsibility for the attempt yet.

Her Majesty Orders the Military to Prepare for War

08.01.2465

With the mobilization of the Al'mariist forces because of the Hadiist ultimatum, Her Majesty ordered the military to prepare for the possible outbreak of war. Soldiers are currently being deployed to the frontiers en masse. Vlrralkhzazhul Line is currently garrisoned to its full strength. Big Alzrun is being loaded into its cars so it might be brought to the frontlines as fast as possible. The navy is patrolling the coasts and seas; civilian ships might still sail, but caution is advised. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky is already present at Baltor to better coordinate the ongoing efforts.

While the military was mobilizing, Queen Shumaila Azunja called a parliament meeting to discuss the activation of the Bunker Plan in case of a nuclear war. So far, no bunker has been finished. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed preemptively opening the vaults and evacuating the nobility and government officials first; Her Majesty refused to leave the palace until they were sure that weapons of mass destruction are being used. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk argued against doing anything until they had a war declaration. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas proposed attempting to disable the Al'mariist missile silos close to the shore by using the navy's cannons. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho agreed with Yudenikh's proposal; he further explained his position by claiming that leaving the commoners outside was the best choice, since whoever survived the nuclear fallout would become stronger than ever before. Crown Heir Zhakmar interrupted the debate multiple times to ask Her Majesty what "nuclear annihilation", "reunification of Adhomai", and "ancient Tajaran genes activated by radiation" meant.

Queen Shumaila Azunja ordered the bunkers to prepare for a possible evacuation; however, she decided against evacuating anyone before a conflict broke out. The people are advised to pay attention to future radio announcements. A crowd of panicked citizens has started to buy all kinds of supplies from the store due to the fear of scarcity in case of a conflict. The city of Baltor reportedly has run out of conserved Earthen-Root in a matter of hours. The rural population is covering their crops and herding their animals to safety. Private Military Contracting Group's contractors announced that they will leave the Kingdom if a war happens. The Crown assured everyone that the situation is under control.

The Kingdom Celebrates the Ice Waltz Despite Security Concerns

15.01.2465

Even with the latest bombing attempt and growing tensions, the Kingdom came together today to celebrate the Ice Waltz. The constabulary and the Peacekeepers deployed extra forces to guarantee the population's safety during the holiday. Navy ships also patrolled the coastline. With a smaller attendance compared to the last year, the people of Northern Harr’masir gathered at the beaches to celebrate. Picnics, singing competitions, drinking contests, and other activities were held at the coast. Many nobles preferred to instead visit the resorts; the Harr'nrr Haven, an Idris luxury retreat, registered maximum capacity during the Waltz.

Queen Shumaila and Crown Heir Zhakmar spent the holiday in a disclosed location. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh was personally invited by the administration of the Harr'nrr Haven to stay in one of their most luxurious suites; he accepted the offer and brought his entire family. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas visited Miran'mir to enter the sea but returned as soon as possible to his post to coordinate the security efforts with the navy. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk decided to spend the holiday with his family in seclusion. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho held a party at the Wounded Ha'rron pub, the Fraternity's headquarters.

Unburdened by the recent events, The off-world community at Tau Ceti commemorated the Ice Waltz to its fullest. Thanks to the patronage of the house of Hamiyeh, hundreds of keg megs were distributed at Mendell's city beaches for the celebration. The Tajara at Biesel wished their family and countrymen a great and safe year. So far, no leads regarding the bombing attempt have been found.

Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity Opens its Youth Wing

23.01.2465

In a Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity meeting, Count Tscherim Sanguszkho revealed the establishment of a youth wing: the Revival Young League. Citing the available schools as "incapable of teaching their youth proper values", the organization was created to educate the children of the fraternity's members. Besides offering the basic curriculum, the league will also provide morality classes and multiple extracurricular activities. Its members will participate in sports, camping, target shooting, coordinated marching, and singing. Unlike all other educational institutions in the Kingdom, the Revival Young League will have its classes segregated by gender.

While the law allowed the Fraternity to create the League, some members of the Parliament tried to have Her Majesty take an instance on the issue. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk argued that the organization's only purpose was political indoctrination. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh defended the right of establishing private schools, claiming that the government had no right to regulate this kind of business. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas praised the extracurricular activities, noting that they would certainly raise a generation of strong and brave Tajara. Queen Shumaila Azunja decided against interfering in the Revival Young League's creation; she assured the Commoners Party that the group would still be held accountable to the Kingdom's standards of education.

Count Sanguszkho ordered all members to enroll their youngsters under the threat of expulsion from the Fraternity. The first classes have already been formed. With the help of Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh, the League already signed a deal with a national corporation to produce the organization's uniforms. Due to the lack of teachers in the Fraternity, the group is now hiring its staff; the salaries are remarkably higher than the ones offered by most schools. Because of the organization's standards, only Njarir'Akhran will be hired; the only exceptions are M'sai, who can teach classes related to outdoor activities and target shooting

Army Tests New Tank Models

01.02.2465

While the Kingdom's military tactics served it well during the liberation war, the success of armored divisions deployed by the other sides proved their usefulness. The few tanks division were equipped with the Zhsram II, a vehicle often called lackluster. A multitude of issues - including technical flaws, poorly trained crew, and conflict doctrines - further harmed the Kingdom's armored forces. A partnership between the Royal Army, multiple national companies, and the Dymtris Polytechnic College was sealed shortly after the war to create new tanks. Today, two models were presented to Her Majesty.

The testing took place at the Vlrralkhzazhul Line. Queen Shumaila Azunja, Crown Heir Zhakmar, Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky, and other notable parliamentarians were present. The first tank was the Wheel Tank, a single-track-wheeled light reconnaissance vehicle. This model has room for a single driver who also controls its armament, a pair of machine guns. To help with stability, it has two steerable wheels on its sides. Its armor is remarkably thin; the engineers explained that this was a concession made to make it faster. During the demonstration, the Wheel Tank was able to achieve considerable speed but ultimately failed to destroy the heaviest targets.

Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky agreed that Wheel Tank could be used for reconnaissance missions, but doubted that it would be more effective than the aerosled. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho argued that one-wheeled vehicles were first created by the Ancient Tajara, since they supposedly did not need more than one thanks to a supernatural sense of balance. Crown Heir Zhakmar asked for his own personal Wheel Tank; his request was denied by Her Majesty. Queen Azunja decided to order the production of more models to be deployed alongside the aerosleds forces.

The second vehicle was the Vahzirthaamro Tank, a heavy tank based on a tricycle. Its two front wheels are twenty meters tall; its rear wheel is only two meters high. Unlike all Tajaran tanks, it does not use tracks. The main body of the vehicle is armed with multiple machine guns and cannons. Due to its size, it requires at least twenty Tajara to crew it. The Vahzirthaamro Tank design allows it to traverse most ground defenses - such as trenches. Its heavy armor and firepower also make it a fearsome opponent. However, during the test, it quickly sank into the ground as its engine struggled to move. Its weapons could still destroy the targets when they could reach them.

Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky considered the Vahzirthaamro Tank a failure; he also suggested scrapping the entire project. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh explained that due to a contract with Misizla Steel Works, the army still had to build more of these models. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested downscaling the vehicle. Queen Azunja ordered the tank to be redesigned.

The team involved in developing the vehicles promised to continue working on new prototypes until a suitable replacement for the Zhsram II is found. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky commented that he plans to continue pursuing the modernization of the New Kingdom's military. The Imperial Dragoons issued a complaint, supported by Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, about the possibility of being replaced by the armored divisions. Her Majesty assured the cavalry that she had no plans to dismiss them.

Royal Peacekeepers Arrest Criminal Behind the Parliament Bombing Attempt!

12.02.2465

Following a quick investigation, the Royal Peacekeepers announced they have identified and arrested the Tajara responsible for the bombing attempt on the Parliament. The terrorist act, carried out in December, interrupted the meeting that would likely elect the Appointed regent; so far, no attempt was made by the Crown to fill the position. The suspect is Misha Rrhikaslavy, a 51-year-old Hharar, who worked as a gardener in the Parliament. He was already interrogated by the Peacekeepers and is being held in a disclosed location.

Misha Rrhikaslavy confessed to the attempt and claimed to have worked alone. The explosive was made using scrap and gardening supplies that the suspect had access to. The knowledge to build the device was acquired through extranet forums; agents discovered printed bombing-making guides in Misha's house. On the day of the act, Rrhikaslavy entered the Parliament by claiming that he was only there to collect some tools. The terrorist deposited the bomb and then quickly left the scene. The device explosion was also severely delayed because its timer was a cheap domestic clock.

Upon being interrogated, Misha Rrhikaslavy explained that his sole motivation was to avenge the death of King Vahzirthaamro Azunja. He believed that the previous monarch was assassinated as part of a plot involving Queen Shumaila Azunja and the Parliament. The criminal thought that by eliminating Her Majesty and the parliamentarians, the Kingdom would become an absolute monarchy with the ex-field marshal, Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan, as its regent. Rrhikaslavy also blamed the Kingdom's parties, the Queen, and the megacorporation for the failure in reconquering Adhomai.

The arrest was widely discussed in the Parliament. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh thanked the Royal Peacekeepers for their shift response; he further suggested expanding their capacities by buying more corporate-made equipment. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas demanded the death sentence for Misha Rrhikaslavy alongside more strict punishments for acts against the Crown. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk argued in favor of placing the terrorist in a mental asylum due to his supposed insanity. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho suggested that the explosive was shoddily made because Misha likely had ancestors of mixed heritage. Queen Shumaila Azunja decided to allow a civil court to handle the case; she assigned Magistrate Lev Alekseev, the one who judged the Tajara involved in the Bunker strike of 2463, to preside over the case.

The terrorists will be put on trial after the investigation has been concluded. The Royal Peacekeepers did not discard the possibility of another group being involved; no evidence pointing to this possibility has been found yet. Multiple conspiracy theories regarding the bombing attempt have emerged in the extranet since the incident. Some claim that the army was behind the act; they would supposedly use the explosion to perform a coup of state. Other users blamed the Skrell, the Zhan, Tajara of mixed heritage, the People's Republic, and the Liberation Army.

Military Announces New Medical Program

25.02.2465

As part of Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky's efforts to modernize the military, the Royal Army announced a new medical program to boost the performance of its soldiers. The initiative will invest in the creation of new medicines, treatments, and exercise routines. The army is now searching for volunteers interested in taking part in the initiative. Able Tajara under the age of thirty can apply for the upcoming selective process in their nearest recruitment center; veterans will have priority. The participants will receive monetary compensation and paid healthcare for the duration of the tests. Further details about the project are still unknown.

The medical program is being developed as part of a new partnership between the New Kingdom and the Empire of Dominia. Dominian researchers are being dispatched to aid the army's development team with their expertise. In exchange for this help, the Crown lifted many tariffs and taxes related to trading between both countries. The Mercantile Flotilla will also establish extra routes to Moroz to strengthen these economic ties. This assistance will not include the sharing of any geneboosting-related technology; army researchers made clear they had no intentions of developing anything close to it.

The news of the program and the partnership was met with some skepticism by the Parliament. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh praised the Kingdom's efforts in consolidating its relationship with the Empire of Dominia, citing the many economic benefits it will bring. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas warned the Crown about growing dependent on external help for its defenses but ultimately did not oppose the project. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk urged Her Majesty to search for more allies besides Moroz. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho suggested concentrating the research efforts on unlocking what he called "the Ancient Tajara gene".

Many soldiers and veterans expressed interest in signing up for the program. Since Field Marshal Klyuchevsky's bill to increase the soldier's wage was turned down by the parliament, many servicemen have been looking for extra ways to increase their income.
