Alberyk Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Arctic Mummy is Stolen! 15.03.2465 Tragedy struck Little Kaltir last night as the priceless Arctic Mummy was stolen. The theft was found when professor Yevgeniy Chalnik entered the freezer to conduct further research; the body and all of its objects were missing from its storage. Upon hearing of the incident, Captain Tajrhalrr Zarkradhir ordered a lockdown and full search of the entire base. Despite the best efforts of the sailors, no trace of the mummy could be found. It is still unknown when and how the remains were stolen. Zarkradhir also ordered all of the ships patrolling the arctic seas to stop all civilian ships in the area for further searches. Prince Arseny Rogozhin suggested that the Arctic Mummy had in fact returned to life and decided to continue its mission, hence why its items were also taken. The news of the theft was met with uproar in the Kingdom. Citizens on the extranet blamed the other Adhomian nations, Tajara of mixed heritage, the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity, and the Ratajani for the crime. At the Parliament, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas argued that only the rival expeditions could have stolen the Arctic Mummy; he proposed carrying out retaliatory strikes on their bases to recover the body. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh urged Her Majesty not to take any precipitate action. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk agreed with Duke Yudenikh and demanded a stronger security presence in Little Kaltir. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho mumbled that the theft was carried out by the mongrels of the Adhomai Democratic Front to further destroy the Tajaran heritage. Queen Shumaila decided to dispatch more soldiers to reinforce the polar garrison. Alongside the search for the lost expedition, the polar team is now tasked with finding and recovering the stolen mummy. Kraszar's Vessel and its many laboratories are currently working to finish searching for whatever samples of the body are left. Professor Yevgeniy Chalnik lamented the loss of the discovery but assured the Crown that the incident would not stop his team.
Alberyk Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Her Majesty Visits the Zarr'jirah Mountains 27.03.2465 Queen Shumaila Azunja and the Crown Heir Zhakmar visited the Zarr'jirah Mountains today. Due to the proximity to the Borderlands, the visit was unannounced. Despite the offers by the constabulary, the Royal Peacekeepers acted as Her Majesty's bodyguards. The tour began by visiting some of the villages located on the mountainsides. Queen Shumaila met with the local representatives, some citizens, and veterans. She thanked the M'sai community for taking part in the war. Zhakmar was offered a raw earthen-root by a farmer. At the request of locals, he took a bite of the produce. Upon biting the vegetable's surface, the Crown Heir chipped one of his teeth. Despite Zhakmar's incessant bellowing, Her Majesty dismissed his complaints since it was supposedly a milk tooth. The visit continued into one of the region's mines. Upon learning of Her Majesty's arrival, disgruntled miners organized a protest. Their main demands involved the working conditions and the damage caused by the mining industry; some even demanded the total shutdown of the quarries. Queen Shumaila Azunja argued that due operations in the mountains were necessary due to the growing economy of the Kingdom. She promised that the Crown would certainly do its best to reinvest some of the profits back into the Zarr'jirah. The tour ended with a demonstration of traditional survival skills by Zarr’jiri Troops and hunters. Her Majesty accompanied a tracking party in search of wildlife; she later shot a Mata'ke Rafama with a rifle borrowed from a local hunter. Crown Heir Zhakmar was offered some medicine for his toothache by a tracker. The visit ended with her Majesty being gifted a carving made with the horn of the animal she hunted. The group quickly returned to Kaltir to schedule a dentist consultation for the Crown Heir. 1
Alberyk Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Parliament Bomber Sentenced to Death 17.04.2465 Misha Rrhikaslavy, the criminal behind the last bombing attempt at the Parliament, was judged today. Further investigations by the Peacekeepers have found no evidence linking the attack to other individuals or groups. Due to his lack of finances, Rrhikaslavy had no access to an attorney initially; one was reluctantly provided by the Commoners Party after much discussion. No attempt was made in the Parliament to interfere in the trial. Honorable Lev Alekseev, who judged the Kaltir Bunkers' strike leaders in 2463, was appointed by Her Majesty to preside over the case. small protest was held outside the courthouse. The manifestation called for the interment of Misha into asylum due to his supposed insanity. Due to security concerns, only essential personnel were allowed to attend the judgment. However, the event was broadcasted through the radio and television to the entire nation. In the extranet, few individuals dared to argue in his favor; most support came from Hadiist and Al'mariist elements who lamented the failure of Rrhikaslavy's plan. Because of the evidence found in Rrhikaslavy's home and his confession, there was little doubt about his responsibility. His lawyer unsuccessfully tried to convince the judge of his insanity; Misha denied that he was suffering from any mental illness and affirmed his conviction that the bombing was the Kingdom's last hope. Honorable Lev Alekseev sentenced the defendant to death under the charges of terrorism. The execution will be carried out in secret in the next month by the military. At the Parliament, Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh praised the quickness of the justice system. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas suggested expanding the death sentence to less severe crimes. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho proposed replacing capital punishment with life imprisonment alongside hard labor. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk argued that solving the growing social issues in the Kingdom was more important than applying punishments.
Alberyk Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 New Fashion Trend Becomes the Nobility's Favorite! 05.05.2465 A new fashion has gripped the attention of the Kingdom's nobility: fatshouters wool hats. Initially created by an artisan from Baltor to a client, the clothing piece exploded in popularity after the owner used it during a visit to the Kaltir Royal Theater. Based on some designs used by the population of the Peninsula of Harr'nrr, the hat was initially mocked on social media for its tall size and large ear-flaps. However, some nobles liked the design and commissioned the hatter to create some for themselves. In a matter of weeks, the fatshouters wool hats became a trend among the nobility. Designs made with finer materials and adorned by jewels and ivory have begun to appear. Some nobles are also trying to see how tall they can make their hats. The original creator is currently refusing to take more commissions, citing that he has enough work for the next six months. Some factories and artisans are designing their own versions to attend to the growing demand. Falsified pieces, claiming to be made in Baltor, have already started to appear as cheaper alternatives. The price of the fatshouter wool is currently on a quick rise; it is unsure how this will affect the clothing market. At the parliament, Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh was the first one to appear wearing a fatshouters wool hat. Shortly after, many parliamentarians followed his example. Some journals are speculating if Her Majesty will join the trend or not. Due to its size, some theaters have banned wearing the piece during plays. The commoners have so far ignored the trend, with many still mocking the hat's appearance.
Alberyk Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 New Kingdom Normalizes Diplomatic Ties with the Izweski Hegemony 26.05.2465 During the occupation of Gakal'zaal by the Izweski Hegemony, the New Kingdom cut ties with the Unathi as a sign of solidarity with the planet's struggle. However, its inhabitants joined the Al'mariist state as soon as they seized their independence. Due to these developments, there is little to no reason for the Kingdom to continue its policy towards the Hegemony. The Parliament has voted for normalizing diplomatic relations with the Izweski among other measures. The proposal was brought to the Parliament by Prince Serhiy Oliinyk, who argued that the Kingdom's instance was outdated and hurt the nation's diplomatic prestige. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh supported the motion, citing the possibility of establishing lucrative deals with the Unathi. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas opposed the idea, arguing that the Kingdom should instead prepare to intervene in Gaka'zaal when the planet's administration collapses due to the conflict. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho was against reestablishing relations, claiming that the Unathi are descendants of a servant race created by the Ancient Tajara and thus were not equal to them. Despite the opposition by the two parties, the project was accepted with the support of Her Majesty. The negotiations took place at Mendell City between the diplomatic corps of both nations. Besides reopening diplomatic ties with the Hegemony, the Kingdom has denounced the DPRA treatment of the Unathi population under Al'mariist rule. When the Izweski diplomats asked for the Kingdom to recognize Gakal'zaal as a rightful Hegemonic claim, they promised to bring this discussion back to the Parliament, since such a subject was beyond their responsibilities. The question of recognizing Gakal'zaal as an Unathi claim is still to be discussed by the Parliament. Some Tajara are already opposed to the notion due to the planet's population being majorly Tajaran. Despite these concerns, the diplomatic summit at Biesel was considered a success by Queen Shumaila Azunja. The Her Majesty's Mercantile Flotilla is already negotiating deals with the Merchant Guilds.
Alberyk Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 First National Spacecraft Company is Inaugurated 07.06.2465 Following months of negotiation with alien megacorporations, the Crown has acquired the necessary technology and facilities to quickstart its spacecraft production. A shipyard is now waiting on Adhomai's orbit to start building the Kingdom's space force. From the attempts to create a company capable of carrying out such an important mission, the Rahimkulov Interstellar was created. Owned by the Rahimkulov family, the same dynasty behind the Minharrzka Maritime Company, the new business was able to purchase the factories and staff contracts using the money obtained with the latest navy expansion into the north pole. Rahimkulov Interstellar is now tasked with cooperating with the military to create the Kingdom's first spaceship designs. At the Parliament, Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh praised the house of Rahimkulov for its efforts in helping the Kingdom. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas assured Her Majesty that they would have a mighty space navy in a matter of years. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested nationalizing the shipyard as soon as possible since this industry would surely become essential to protecting the nation. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho proposed using spaceships to locate the entrance of Aghar'mahrk. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky confirmed that the department to handle the creation of the new navy was ready; the most experienced captains, engineers, and sailors from Her Majesty's Mercantile Flotilla were hired to join its ranks. The ships bought by the Crown to be studied and refitted are already in the shipyard. The Rahimkulov Interstellar is currently shipping its materials and crew to begin work. Meetings between the corporation and the military commission are scheduled to happen in the next weeks. For now, most of the employees in the factories are from megacorporations; these specialists are also tasked with teaching the Rahimkulov's staff their craft. The crew of these military vessels will also be trained, with its first members being picked from the Mercantile Flotilla's veterans.
Alberyk Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Miran'mir Academy Mission Uncovers Unidentified Substance 20.06.2465 During the search for the missing expedition, a group of explorers came across an outstanding discovery. At first, they thought to have found some geological anomaly buried under the ice. However, upon removing the first layers of ice, they discovered a deposit of some black material. The substance has an oily consistency and was somehow not frozen despite being under the ice. Due to an incoming storm, the team transported the substance in barrels back to Little Kaltir. At the base, preliminary analysis revealed that the substance is organic. Initially, researchers believed it to be some kind of fossil fuel. Further testing disproved this theory when the finding was compared with samples from Nusinsk. The material is homogeneous and does not have the presence of other kinds of matter, such as natural gas or sediments. Some fragments have been shipped to the Miran'mir Academy for further analysis. The barrels containing the findings are currently being held in Little Kaltir at an undisclosed location to prevent any theft. Yevgeniy Chalnik believes that the substance is likely some kind of organic detritus; while it might help biologists discover more about the polar biosphere, it has little practical use. Prince Arseny Rogozhin argued that the finding was in fact an edible nutriment paste used by Ancient Tajara during long travels. To prove his theory Rogozhin attempted to convince the crew to taste some of the substance, but no one dared to. Upon hearing of the latest experiment attempt, Captain Tajrhalrr Zarkradhir ordered the sailors to keep guard in the Little Kaltir's pantry until further notice. The expedition is planning to continue experimenting with the material. Further trips to collect more samples are being organized.
Ramke Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Minharrzka Maritime Company Innovation Unveiled 29.06.2465 The Minharrzka Maritime Company has revealed its new project that has been in development since the beginning of this year. The unveiling was a televised event organised by the company as part of its experimentation with potential new uses for ageing ships. The specifics of the innovations were not announced to the general public until the demonstration. Spoiler [A cut version of the televised broadcast is displayed. It showed Royal Navy sailors, scientists and Crown representatives near a harbour beside Miran’mir’s shipyards. A variety of military vessels can be seen in the background. The scene cuts to a frigate approaching the coast, seemingly running aground before a heavy mechanised whirring could be heard, and exhaust from its chimneys begins producing large clouds of exhaust while its engines struggle to reach full power. The frigate, displaying its name of ‘Fenskrringla’s Bulwark’ proudly on the side, begins shifting upwards out of the waters as it slowly crawls onto the shore, unveiling the retrofitted mechanised legs that allowed it to reach the shore. Fully out of the water, the legs slowly lower the boat into a sitting position as the whirring stops. Cheering from the crowds could be heard.] As an experiment, depreciated frigate-class vessels that have been due to come out of service have instead been heavily modified by the Maritime Company and retrofitted with a set of six heavy industrial legs designed by Hephaestus Industries, originally intended for mining walkers in high gravity planets. Due to the steep power requirements and size of the mechanism, the ship had to sacrifice large parts of its sections to allow for the legs to function. In the following press conference, a representative of the company has stated that the innovation is part of a series of new developments that will take the New Kingdom to a new age in the coming months. The news and demonstration has been met with mixed reactions. A small number of interviewed sailors found the design to be cramped and an insult to tradition, mentioning that ships belong on the sea; to change this is to attract misfortune. During parliamentary discussions, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas praised the innovation as a way to give old ships new tactical advantages, allowing them to reinforce shores as a bunker behind terrain or assist offensives deeper than what coastal bombardment would allow. Field-Marshall Vyakelas Klyuchevsky replied stating that this is a wasted effort, and the resources could have been spent on manufacturing better land vehicles rather than turning boats into dysfunctional ones. In the middle of the argument, Count Tscherim Sanguszkho commented that the Ancient Tajara had vehicles that can fly and cross any terrain, requesting that more research should be done to make the ships be capable of flight as well. The Parliament was brought to order by the Queen, who then stated that sensible military innovation was welcome in any regard. A small number of select frigates will be retrofitted to the new design for further field testing, with one assigned to the North Pole.
Alberyk Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Adhomai's Largest Amusement Park is Inaugurated at Baltor 11.07.2465 Since the end of the last war, tourism in the Peninsula of Harr'nrr has become a booming industry. Countless tourists chose to visit the region due to its resorts and strong cultural traditions. Alongside its clubs, art galleries, and pubs Baltor has received a new attraction: the largest amusement park on Adhomai. The Tharymir Park, built by Tharymir Entertainment with the aid of interstellar corporations, opened its door today. Circus and temporary fairs have always been part of the Tajaran culture, but only recently fully dedicated parks started to appear. Tharymir Park aims to offer the traditional experience together with new attractions never seen before. Located in the coastal area of Baltor, the park has multiple amusement rides, some made with alien technology. In the Endless Void attraction, guests can experience a total lack of gravity as if they were in space. The most notable one is a massive Ferris wheel, known as Dhrarmela's Wheel, standing at 400 meters tall. The food court offers Tajaran and off-world delicacies, ranging from street food vendors to gourmet restaurants. The park has a zoo with Adhomian and xeno creatures; a pair of schlorrgos is its most notable exhibition. Tharymir Park has a cabinet of curiosities, displaying oddities and wonders gathered from across the planet, including a stuffed, two-headed Nav'twir calf. Finally, the park is home to its own circus, with a troupe of entertainers, acrobats, magicians, and biological oddities. Queen Shumaila and Crown Heir Zhakmar were invited to the inauguration as guests of honor. At first, Her Majesty did not intend to accept the invitation, but after much insistence by the Crown Heir, she agreed to attend. For the first hours, the park was closed for royal visitation. The Crown Heir stopped first at the food court, where he ate three bowls of Creamice, five Avah, twenty cubes of sugar tree candy, and drank three cups of Messa's Mead. Despite Her Majesty's advice, Zhakmar took part in multiple rides. After visiting a rollercoaster, the Crown Heir vomited profusely. Despite this incident, he remained in good spirits and visited the zoo, where he was allowed to personally feed the schlorrgos crumbles of bread. The tour ended at the circus, with Her Majesty and the Crown Heir watching a performance by a pair of Dornskhy clowns. Upon hearing of the presence of Her Majesty and the Crown Heir, the city's population and tourists rushed to the park. A kilometers-long line quickly at its entrance. After Queen Shumaila left, the other guests were allowed to enter. The inauguration was considered a success. Tharymir Park is open all year round. It is unknown if there are plans to construct parks of the same scale in the rest of the Kingdom. Crown Heir Zhakmar called the visit "the best thing that ever happened in his life".
Alberyk Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Pharmaceutical Corporation Unveils New Health Tonic 26.07.2465 A Flask of the Zhsram Health Tonic Zhanlyr Drugs Company, the largest pharmaceutical national company, has revealed its new product to the public today: the Zhsram Health Tonic. It is advertised as a product able to grant a Tajara the strength and vigor of a Zhsram. The drink claims to boost vitality, strengthen the immune system, raise spirits, and provide a supply of nutrients and vitamins. Bottles of the concoction were distributed in Kaltir as part of the release. Citizens who tasted the product reported feeling a surge of energy. The taste was also praised; reportedly, it is sweeter than the other alternatives in the market. It is now available in most pharmacies in the Kingdom. The drink was briefly discussed at the Parliament. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk asked for the Crown to investigate the content of the tonics. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh opposed the request, claiming it would interfere with the trade secrets of Zhanlyr Drugs. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas was against Oliinyk's proposal; he proposed contracting the company to produce a version for military use. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho restricted himself to commenting that Njarir, due to their Ancient Tajaran heritage, did not need any medicine besides the fresh mountain air. Queen Shumaila Azunja decided to only investigate the tonic if there was any reason to do so. So far, no issues with the drink have been reported. Zhanlyr Drugs Company offered Her Majesty a lifetime supply of the Zhsram Health Tonic. She politely refused the offer, citing that her diet and exercise routine were more than enough to keep her health in check. Following the success of the launch, Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky reportedly scheduled a meeting with Zhanlyr Drugs Company's representatives for a project related to the modernization of the military.
Alberyk Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Dead Members of the Missing Expedition are Found! 19.08.2465 Explorers have returned to Little Kaltir this morning with dire news about the missing expedition: a part of its crew was found dead. The group, led by a Zarr'jiri troop, located the remains of twenty Tajara in a sealed cave close to the coast. The entrance was closed with multiple boulders that had to be displaced with dynamite. The bodies were gathered around in a makeshift camp. The corpses were loaded on sleds and transported back to the base for further analysis and preservation. No additional clues about the rest of the missing expedition were discovered. Other teams were dispatched shortly after to search for more hints. The medical team on site estimated that the twenty Tajara have been dead for at least four months. The cold had preserved them from decomposition, allowing easy identification. An autopsy revealed that all had died from blunt trauma to the back of their skulls while sleeping. All organs - including the eyes and tongues - were missing; they were likely removed through a significant gap in their ribcages. It is unsure what creature could have done this. All personal belongings were found either on site or in the explorers themselves. The bodies will be sent back to the mainland for a proper funeral. The gruesome condition of the bodies was a matter of speculation among the crew; some claimed that it was likely the work of saboteurs or the Al'mariist expedition. Yevgeniy Chalnik tried to defuse the tension by arguing that the deaths were likely caused by some unknown animal. Prince Arseny Rogozhin claimed that the explorers were killed by the automated defenses left behind by the Ancient Tajara. Captain Tajrhalrr Zarkradhir ordered all future search parties to avoid taking shelter in caves unless necessary. The news of the finding further fueled the theories about the fate of the missing expedition in the Kingdom. Some extranet video channels and newspapers have returned to cover the event. Superstitious Tajara have begun to call the missing expedition the "cursed expedition".
Alberyk Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Conflict in the Borderlands Continues to Escale: PMCG forces attacked! 30.08.2465 Reports of the latest skirmishes in the Borderlands have worried the Parliament. Following a period of relative peace, the forces of the Adhomai Democratic Front returned with their operations. Multiple constabulary and PMCG outposts were targeted with explosives, while officers and contractors were attacked by snipers in the last week. Attempts to locate and arrest the responsible ended in firefights between law enforcement and the criminals; civilian deaths have also been reported. Due to their contracts, the corporate units are unable to support the constables in their offenses. A dozen suspects were arrested for possible collaboration with the terrorists. Cities in the Borderlands are considering issuing a curfew. Some governors are calling for military intervention At the Parliament, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas, supported by the Officers Party, demanded military intervention in the Borderlands. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed expanding the duties of the contractors to allow them to take part in offensive operations. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk urged Her Majesty to not allow the army to take up law enforcement duties. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho supported the intervention, arguing that the ongoing violence would help the Kingdom train its soldiers for war. Despite the Commoners Party opposition to expanding corporate influence in the Kingdom, Prince Oliinyk agreed to support Grand Duke Yudenikh's proposal in exchange for aid in future projects. Queen Shumaila Azunja met with PMCG liaisons before requesting a change in their contracts. With the support of most of the Parliament and Her Majesty, the PMCG contractors are now able to take part in offensive missions against the Democratic Front alongside the Constabulary. Further reinforcements have also been hired and paid by the Crown to help reestablish order in the Borderlands. The leadership of the terrorist organization has not been found yet; some military officers suspect that they might be hiding in the Al'mariist territories.
Alberyk Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Miran'mir Academy Installs Observation Outposts in Tunguska 15.09.2465 Located at the northern waste, Tunguska is an abandoned Hadiist base famous for its supposed anomalies. Tourists report unexplained visions, lights, and voices. So far, no evidence of these events has been registered. The Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits has decided to investigate these claims. Observation outposts are currently being installed in Tunguska to gather data regarding the supposed anomalous activity. Currently, the most accepted theory is that the happenings are mirages caused by some poorly understood magnetic effect. At the Parliament, Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh argued that trying to debunk the happenings could hurt the nation's tourism revenue and asked for Her Majesty to stop the academy. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk argued that the initiative was a good step in combating superstition with the scientific method. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas complained about the observation outposts; in his opinion, the college should spend its resources searching for the missing polar expedition instead. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho approved the plan, claiming it could help them uncover the mysteries of the Ancient Tajara. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky called the idea "unwise", pointing out that the military likely had a good reason to abandon the base. Queen Shumaila Azunja decided to not interfere in the matter. With the help of touristic guides and civilian ships, the Miran'mir Academy has begun to build the outposts. Each base will be manned by two Tajara and will have cameras, microphones, and radiation sensors. The technology currently used in the polar expedition will be applied to these installations. When asked about providing protection to the researchers, the military refused to take part in the endeavor by direct order from Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky. To protect the outposts from dangerous creatures, its crew has been issued a hunting shotgun. The academy expects to collect enough data in the following months.
Alberyk Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 Olska Bunker Construction Team Reports Major Setback 26.09.2465 Dymtris Construction, the national company responsible for the fallout bunker project, has contacted the Crown about a major setback in Olska. During the weekend, most of the electronics and cables were stolen from the construction site. The thieves had managed to enter the area through a makeshift tunnel. The theft will delay the bunker completion for months and will cost thousands hundreds of credits to replace. Dymtris Construction asked for monetary aid to continue with the enterprise. During the Parliament meeting, the incident caused a discussion. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed sending the money to continue the construction, arguing it would help the Kingdom's economy. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas blamed the Adhomai Democratic Front and proposed guarding the bunkers with the military. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested establishing social programs to help combat the crime in the region instead. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho argued that the theft was irrelevant since those who had Ancient Tajara genes could survive underground without the help of ventilation or food refrigeration. Queen Shumaila Azunja threatened to select another company to carry out the construction if further robberies happened. Despite her instance, Her Majesty agreed to dispatch the request for compensation after speaking to the Royal Party. Constables at Olska are now searching the cities for the electronic parts. Most of the stolen items were brought from the interstellar corporations. Some of them are highly valuable due to their advanced technology. The constabulary believes that the heist was done to smuggle the items to the Al'mariist borders. The city administration asked for the help of the Royal Peacekeepers in finding the culprits. Dymtris Construction promised to increase security in its sites.
Alberyk Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Reenactment Grows in Popularity as a National Hobby 10.10.2465 Recently, a new hobby has become widely popular with the nobility and the growing middle class: historical reenactments. In this activity, the hobbyists dress in historic costumes and act out events from history, usually battles, for entertainment purposes. The pastime was started by a small group of students from Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits, but it quickly attracted the attention and more participants. Now named "Kingdom's Historical Reenactment Society", they gather monthly to reenact notable moments of history. The latest reenactment was a battle between the Kingdom of Mezuma and Nazira during the Warring Kings era. Wearing metal armor and carrying pikes and crossbows, the reenactors pretended to fight as ancient Tajaran soldiers. After the event ended with a retreat by Mezuma due to the arrival of mercenary reinforcements, the hobbyists gathered at their camp to celebrate. Drinking messa's mead and eating roasted N'hanzafu, they shared their favorite moments and discussed their favorite aspects of Adhomian history. However, an argument occurred when one reenactor accused another one of wearing an anachronistic uniform, disrupting the immersion of those involved. The confrontation was settled by the association administration when one of the involved parties threatened to stop funding the reenactment if the leadership did not enforce stricter costume standards. The reenactments were briefly discussed at the Parliament. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh approved of the hobby, proposing that it could be used to boost the Kingdom's tourist industry. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas pointed out that despite interpreting soldiers, most of the participants were clearly out of shape. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk noted that the association's members were mostly Njarir and Hharar; the Rock Nomad mercenaries actors were Non-Zhan Tajara with their furs covered with coal dust. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho argued that the reenactment was inaccurate since the participants did not include the Ancient Tajaran war machines that were supposedly used until the Gunpowder era. Queen Shumaila Azunja interrupted the discussion, telling the parliament to return to more important subjects. The Kingdom's Historical Reenactment Society has announced it will reenact the invasion of Harr'masir by the Empire of Amohda next. The price of Amohdan sword replicas has risen since the announcement. Some members proposed reenacting battles of the First and Second Civil Wars; this proposal was considered controversial by many. The group's administration did not comment on this controversy.
Alberyk Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 Miran'mir Academy Collects Data from Tunguska Outposts 20.10.2465 In the past month, the Miran'mir Academy installed observation outposts in Tunguska to investigate the claims of anomalous activity. Located at the northern wastes of Harr'masir, Tunguska was once a Hadiist military base; it was attacked and destroyed by the Kingdom during the Second Civil War. Those who visited the ruins claim to have witnessed inexplicable phenomena in the area. The Academy now has claimed to have collected some data thanks to the bases. The information was analyzed by researchers in the past days. The cameras set around the outposts proved to be nearly useless; most of the video and photos were blank. The images that could be savaged did not show anything outside of the normal, with the exception of one that displayed flying orbs in the sky. Radio recordings suffered from interference from the wind and some unknown buzzing hum; some samples had anomalous noises that sounded vaguely similar to voices. Radiation sensors recorded nothing of note. However, the staff manning the outposts reported a strange happening. During one of their journeys to ferry supplies, they came across an entrance on the ground. Upon descending into the hatch, they discovered it was one of the sealed bunkers; its doors were somehow unsealed. The facility was part of the larger underground complex. Inside, they photographed a collection of unidentified machinery, empty glass tanks, and a large metallic archway covered in cables. After taking the pictures, the team left. Future attempts to locate the same building again failed. Researchers at Miran'mir Academy called the experiment inconclusive so far. The data regarding the anomalies was not enough to draw any conclusion. The photographs from inside the Hadiist bunker have only created more questions regarding what Tunguska was used for. Even after consulting Dymtris Polytechnic College, they could not identify the machines in the photos. Some scientists with links to the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity proposed that it was a project to open a portal to Aghar'mahrk. They further argued that the attempts caused some of the hidden realm's energies to spill into the area, causing the anomalies to appear. Most of the academy body ignored these theories. The Miran'mir Academy is now working closely with the Dymtris Polytechnic College to develop better equipment for its outposts.
Alberyk Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 The Kingdom Honors the Nation's Independence 27.10.2465 Sixteen years ago, King Vahzirthaamro Azunja and his followers started the independence war that would create the Kingdom. To honor their bravery and sacrifice, the nation celebrates the Day of Rightful Restoration today. Despite recent tensions and internal conflicts, Tajara across the country have come together to honor the existence of the New Kingdom and its ideals. The military parade toured through Kaltir. The population gathered in the streets, pub windows, and balconies to watch the spectacle; the off-world population could enjoy the show through the extranet for free. The ceremony was led by Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas and Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky, followed by sailors and Ras'nrr Expeditionary Force Marines accompanied by Mrraka'te'almalik Marrmeladov. Right after came the Imperial Dragoons, Royal Grenadiers, and well-dressed Alam'ard units. Rock Nomad, Amohdan, and Zarr’jiri auxiliary forces marched behind the special troops. At the request of the Njarir'Akhran Renewal Fraternity, their youth wing took part in the march. The event was closed by an exhibition of the Kingdom's latest mechanized units. Wheel tanks rolled alongside a walker frigate; some buildings were damaged and light poles were knocked by the passage of the landship. At the port, the navy fired their cannons as autogyros did tricks in the sky above the capital. During the night, the high nobility and leaders met with Queen Shumaila Azunja at a feast organized in the Kaltir Imperial Palace's gardens. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh spent his time talking with the owners of the national companies regarding the expansion of the merchant navy and other projects. Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan attended the event; the old marshal wasted most of the party trying to locate the late King Vahzirthaamro Azunja despite being told of his passing repeatedly by multiple guests. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas and Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky discussed the future space force; the discussion was cut short when the Grand Admiral decided to entertain some reporters with his war stories. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk talked personally to Her Majesty about the growing instability in the south and how they could better address it. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho, after drinking multiple bottles of Darmadhir Brew, lectured the attendees about the supposed hidden influences of the Ancient Tajara in the Warring Kings era oral storytelling. King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik donated some N’hanzafu to the Crown as a symbol of his loyalty. The highlight of the royal feast was when a massive cauldron of mutthir was brought for the guests to enjoy. The drink was gifted to Queen Shumaila Azunja by the city's restaurants and pubs. After Her Majesty took a glass, the Crown Heir attempted to drink the beverage. However, Zhakmar Azunja stumbled when climbing the ladder and fell into the pot. Since he did not know how to swim, he had to be scooped up by the guards on site. Covered in mutthir, the Crown Heir retired to his resting quarters for the rest of the night. At the Amohdan community in Bar'jar, claimants for the throne of the island used the holiday to try to shore up support through parties. The Nomadic Host saw some celebrations among the settlers; the nomadic population paid little attention to the date. Despite the recent tensions, the people of the Borderlands organized their parties; some corporate guards were even invited to celebrate. The Tajaran community in Tau Ceti held a large party in Little Adhomai, drinking and eating earthen-root pizza.
Alberyk Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Military Tests New Service Rifles 06.11.2465 Since the last conflict, the Royal Army has fought with traditional Tajaran weapons. While conventional weaponry was enough to secure peace, the ongoing developments are creating pressure for modernization. The Hadiists and Al'mariist forces have already adopted automatic rifles, while the average Kingdom's soldier has a bolt action gun or a machine gun at best at their disposal. To provide a new service gun for the military, Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky has contracted some national companies to develop a suitable weapon. Queen Shumaila Azunja, the Crown Heir Zhakmar, and the Field-Marshal gathered today at the outskirts of the Vlrralkhzazhul Line to see the results of their research. The first one was the Tahkimarov Rocket Rifle produced by Grrmhrvar Industries. Instead of using regular ammunition, the gun fires small rockets that gain speed as they travel. The model tested in question was a model able to fire in a burst of three shoots. Despite its innovative idea, the weapon had poor accuracy because of its projectile's low speed. Upon hearing of the cost of manufacturing the gun and its ammunition, Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky refused to consider the prototype. Royal Firearms presented their proposal next: the Varnoshyk Automatic Rifle. Created with the technology obtained from Hadiist weapons, this gun uses a roller-delayed blowback system. The rifle was able to fire in burst and semi-automatic modes with just a single jamming malfunction; the issue was quickly solved by the demonstrator. Unlike the previous gun, the Varnoshyk was considerably affordable and could be mass-produced to equip the military quickly. Upon being questioned about the malfunction, Royal Firearms explained it was a minor flaw currently being solved. The last display was created by a small weaponsmith company, the Mata'ke Rifle and Guns Industries. The weapon in question was a semi-automatic shotgun with a revolving cylinder that could only fire all of its shells at once, named "Zhan Bane". In spite of its firepower, the gun was cumbersome to use and reload; it was also ineffective at long range. The Zhan Bane was a favorite of the Crown Heir, who asked to be given the prototype. Queen Shumaila Azunja rejected his plea. After a brief meeting between Her Majesty and the Field-Marshal, the military decided to adopt the Varnoshyk Automatic Rifle. Royal Firearms has been tasked with producing enough guns to equip all branches of the military. The Ras'nrr Expeditionary Force Marines will be the first forces to be equipped with the new service rifles, followed by the marine, the army, and then the air force. Despite being rejected by the military, the Zhan Bane became a hit in social media. Mata'ke Rifle and Guns Industries already received multiple requests to commercialize the firearm.
Alberyk Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Oil Spill Causes Outrage in Nusinsk 17.11.2465 Prior to the war, the city of Nusinsk was one of the greatest producers of oil in Adhomai. When the Hadiists were expelled, the city's industry was destroyed. Since the Armistice, the Kingdom has worked to return Nusinsk's production. The Royal Oil Industry, a national corporation, was given the right to explore the deposits. Until now, they managed to install some platforms and refineries with the aid of the Dymtris Polytechnic College and technology brought from Hephaestus Industries. Three days ago, a drilling incident caused an underwater pipe to burst. Before distribution could be shut down, hundreds of thousands of barrels were spilled into the waters. A large spill, covering kilometers, can now be seen from the city. While accidents have happened before, none were close to this scale. Today, Nusinsk's inhabitants have begun to organize themselves into a protest. They blocked the entry to a refinery and asked for the Crown to interfere in the situation. Dead, oil-covered animals have begun to wash ashore as the oil is spread by the ocean. The Royal Oil Industry has asked the Parliament for help. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh proposed sending financial and technical aid to the corporation, arguing it would be in the interest of the Kingdom's economy. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas proposed dispatching the navy and the air force to assist with cleanup efforts. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk suggested tighter environmental regulations and holding the industry's owners accountable for the incident. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho pointed out that fossil fuels were outdated since Ancient Tajara supposedly already had access to energy drawn from other planes of existence; the New Kingdom just had to rediscover this technology by accessing their ancient genes. Her Majesty decided to dispatch the required aid, alongside Royal Flying Corps autogyros to spread dispersant over the spill. Despite the response, the population of Nusinsk is still unhappy about the incident. Many claim that the Royal Oil Industry must be fined for the incident, with some arguing that its own owners should be arrested. The Crown did not comment on the city's requests. Specialists from the Dymtris Polytechnic College and Miran'mir Academy of Scientific Pursuits are on their way to take part in the cleanup.
Alberyk Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Deadlock at Parliament Stops Regent Appointment 18.12.2465 Two years ago, the current Crown Heir was appointed. Due to his age, a compromise was made to guarantee a stable government if he ascended to the throne: the office of the Appointed Regent. Her Majesty, with the support of the Parliament, would choose a parliamentarian to fill the position. Due to multiple incidents, no choice was made. In today's meeting, the parties demanded Queen Shumaila Azunja to finally make a choice. Each party leader requested to be selected. Her Majesty refused at first, arguing that she had more pressing matters at the moment. However, the Parliament refused to move on. Queen Shumaila Azunja then suggested appointing Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh, likely due to being the leader of the largest party. This motion failed as no one outside of the Royal Party agreed with it. Her Majesty then attempted to nominate the oldest member, Zhdan Garakhzin, a 75-year-old veteran of the First Civil War. The candidate, who was asleep at the time of the nomination, refused the position due to his advanced age. As each Party continued to push their candidates, the Parliament quickly descended into shouting. With the deadlock stopping any further discussion, Prince Serhiy Oliinyk came up with a bill proposing holding national elections to select the Appointed Regent. Following some negotiations with the rest of the Parliament, the proposal was brought to Her Majesty. Despite some initial hesitation from Queen Shumaila Azunja, she decided to accept it to continue the meeting and settle the situation regarding the Regent position. Next year, the Kingdom will hold an election to decide the Appointed Regent. Each Party was allowed to select one candidate; subsequently, the leader of each organization was their choice. The Parties are now organizing themselves for the campaigns. Hours of television and radio time have been bought already by the Royal Party. Due to the lack of regulations regarding the campaign, some Tajara have expressed concerns about the bigger parties being able to easily outmaneuver the smaller ones. 1
Alberyk Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The Kingdom Welcomes the New Year 15.01.2466 During this month, the cities of the New Kingdom welcomed the new year with the tradition of the Ice Waltz. The people gathered at the beaches to celebrate with parties, art presentations, and competitions. Resorts were operating at their full capacity. The top of the nobility preferred the Idris-operated facilities, while the local enterprises welcomed those with fewer resources. Due to the oncoming elections, the Parties and their candidates took this opportunity to campaign. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh visited the Harr'nrr Haven resort to meet with important members of the nobility and corporate representatives. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas spent some of his time with officers, soldiers, and sailors celebrating the holiday; he also did his typical display of bravery by entering the freezing ocean. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk commemorated the holidays at the beaches of Kaltir with the commoners before retiring to his family's home. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho brought multiple casks of mead to Baltor as a gift to the population. Her Majesty and the Crown Heir celebrated the Ice Waltz at an undisclosed location in the Peninsula of Harr'nrr At the Nomadic Host, the celebration was largely ignored by the nomads; only some settlers decided to honor the new year. Despite the growing tensions, the people of the Borderlands took part in the festivities, with some of the corporate forces joining them. The Amohdan community at Bar'jar opened their lodges to hold sword demonstrations and duels. In Tau Ceti, the off-world community brought effigies - depicting mainly Hadii, Nated, Raskara, and their least favorite politicians - made by locals to throw into the Severson's Rift. 1
Alberyk Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Royal Party Organizes Rally in Kaltir 26.02.2466 Due to the upcoming elections, the Royal Party has organized a large rally in Kaltir. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh, the party's candidate for the position of regent, began the event by gathering with his supporters and fellow parliamentarians at the entrance of the Imperial Palace. At his request, Her Majesty met him briefly at the gates, without endorsing his candidacy, before returning to her duties. As a crowd formed before the Royal Party's entourage, the Grand Duke made a brief speech: Quote "Fellow subjects of the Crown. He is here today to serve their great nation and people. As a successful Tajaran leader, he is the most suitable one to bring prosperity and safety to the Kingdom. He plans to continue growing their economy, so they may all have food on their plates, and a prosperous future for their children. It is now the time for them to unite under the leadership of the Royal Party!" The rally began with Duke Akym Yudenikh meeting with the city's nobility at the Kaltir Royal Theater. After watching a brief play, he had lunch with owners of national companies and heads of notable dynasties. They discussed further deals with the government if he was to be elected, alongside expanding the megacorporation presence in Adhomai. Yudenikh gifted his guest some bottles of Darmadhir Brew before heading to his next stop. Duke Akym Yudenikh visited the construction site of the Kaltir fallout bunker to meet with some commoners. He greeted them with a gift of Zhsram Health Tonic, so they may, in his words, "continue to work for the future of the nation". The commoners asked about further labor rights and social programs. The candidate assured them that if he was elected, they would have enough money to buy these. Duke Akym left the area after someone asked his opinions on the strike of 2463. The event ended with Duke Akym Yudenikh visiting a pub to mingle with the city's growing middle class. The candidate paid a round of drinks to everyone present before continuing with his campaign. Yudenikh promised to create further jobs and bring down the price of cars and electronics through exports from off-world corporations. The Royal Party entourage had to leave the establishment when it quickly became crowded after the news of free alcohol quickly spread through the streets. The Royal Party considered their campaign a success and promised to visit other cities of the Kingdom.
Ramke Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Darmadhir Brew Releases Fifteen-Year Special Bottle 13.03.2466 One of the most renowned spirit makers in the nation, Hazyr Darmadhir, has released a special edition bottle celebrating the fifteen-year mark of the declaration of independence of the New Kingdom of Adhomai. Known for one of the Kingdom's most sought-after liquors, the small family-owned brewery skyrocketed to fame for its unique flavour and smooth taste. Hazyr Darmadhir, the brewer, stated that he had planned to release the bottle last year, but decided to delay the release until there was enough stock in the warehouse for most Tajara to sample the liquor. Quote "He wishes for the country to celebrate its independence and freedom, and he wanted to add his own contribution to his country's success. While he was not able to produce enough in time, he has made sure that the bottles are special and have meaning. They were distributed far and wide across the nation so that every city's families could sample the drink. It is his homage to the late King Vahzirthaamro Azunja and everyone who has sacrificed their lives to bring them to where they are today. The alien corporations have tried to have them distribute it, but he has declined - he has no need for this amount of money at his age, and this is a drink by a Tajara for the Tajara." The bottle had unique glass engravings of the Azunja emblem, and was coloured with stained turqouise glass. The back of the bottle contained an excerpt of notes and letters found on the bodies of fallen soldiers, including the brewer's own son, who passed while fighting in the Second Revolution. The taste is described as a very smooth and sweet Nm'shaan liquor, with the added spin of a secret herbal mixture to enrich its taste. While the typical Darmadhir Brew bottle was quite expensive owing to its long, secretive brewing process, the bottle was sold in major cities' market stalls for remarkably cheap, and many stalls offered tasting sessions for those who could not afford it. Most stalls sold out within an hour, and some had to be shut down early due to unrest as more and more Tajara flocked to the markets. Some members of the nobility received personalised bottles, including Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas and Field-Marshall Vyakelas Klyuchevsky. Queen Shumaila and Crown Heir Zhakmar were seen visiting the brewery in Miran'mir and receiving unique-looking bottles styled after them by Hazyr himself. They were given a tour of the brewery and were seen discussing at a table before leaving. The distribution has led the country into a frenzy trying to find a bottle, with bottle collectors and many in the nobility offering large sums of money for someone to procure one for them. There were reports of thefts, and many racks of the liquor were lost in a train robbery. Hazyr Darmadhir's comments renewed speculation regarding his health at his age, as he was already in his twilight years.
canon35 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Rhazar'Hrujmagh Population Exploding in Nomadic Host 23.04.2466 Constabulary agents operating in the Nomadic Host region have released a public report on the region’s demographics. Since the Battle of Little Nav'twir Ranch, which left thirty dead and hundreds injured, tensions have continued to rise between Nomadic Host ranchers and the Rhazar'Hrujmagh residing there. Constables have been deployed to try and keep the peace despite reports of small skirmishes between the conflicting groups. But a recent report from constables attempting to count heads of the Rhazar'Hrujmagh caravans has revealed a shocking revelation that not only are Rhazar'Hrujmagh populations underreported, but they are also swelling rapidly. The report was presented in parliament to the sitting ministers, Queen Shumaila Azunja, the Crown Heir Zhakmar, and Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky. Dictated by veteran officer Zakarah To’mir, the report describes that caravans are larger than anticipated by the census. Some constables describe seeing several caravans that were numbering in the tens of thousands, while others mention that caravans appeared to be covering up how many members there were when asked by government agents. Furthermore, constable To’mir described how Rhazar'Hrujmagh families have begun to have children beyond the normal number for New Kingdom families elsewhere in the Kingdom. The chamber arose with cries of protest by members of the Royal Party, Officers Party, and some of the Commoners Party. A second census in the Nomadic Host region was requested by these protesting members, spurned by worries that the Rhazar'Hrujmagh are breeding too much for the land allotted to them. Some worried that the Rhazar'Hrujmagh were attempting to have more children to field a larger army in the future and push out the settlers in the region. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas and Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh both suggested a second census with constable agents assisting in head-counting the Rhazar'Hrujmagh population. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk questioned the validity of the report, stating that the caravans may simply be uniting together or having some other sort of population movement. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho argued that more Rhazar'Hrujmagh would be of great use for the New Kingdom as the horde could assist not only militarily, but also with the coming “soul-battle” as Rhazar'Hrujmagh are generally religious. The Count did not explain what a “soul-battle” was when asked by members of parliament and the Crown Heir. Field-Marshal Klyuchevsky somewhat agreed and said that as long as the king of the mountains Rustam Harmaliik and his heir remain royal, the Rhazar'Hrujmagh are simply providing more troops for the future. Queen Shumaila ended the debate by saying that there will be no Rhazar'Hrujmagh-specific census and that the Raakti Shariim will be deployed in larger numbers to watch over the region. No representatives of the Rhazar'Hrujmagh could be reached for comment. Leaders of farmer militias and wealthy ranchers in the Nomadic Host have lamented the trend, fearing that the Rhazar'Hrujmagh will eventually hoard the resources of the region themselves.
Alberyk Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Health Tonic is Removed from the Shelves due to Health Concerns 08.05.2466 The Zhsram Health Tonic, released last year by the Zhanlyr Drugs Company, had its sales suspended today. The incident began after a Tajara died following the daily consumption of the product for the past three months. The individual was reportedly young and had no known health issues. Doctors at the Klyuchevksy Medical Center, where the Tajara received medical attention, reported that the cause of the death was heart failure. While a link between the demise and the consumption of the tonic is still being studied by the Bar'jar School of Medicine, the incident gained wide attention from the population. Posts on social media urged citizens to not consume the product, while others theorized that harmful chemicals were used in its formula. Zhanlyr Drugs Company decided to halt the sale and distribution of the Zhsram Health Tonic until further notice. The price of the remaining bottles on sale has skyrocketed, with many Tajara rushing to pharmacies to secure the rest of the stocks. At the Parliament, the situation was discussed. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh argued that even if the tonic caused death, it was the fault of the consumer who decided to buy it. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk urged Her Majesty to force the company to reveal the formula. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho commented that deaths were inevitable since the Tajara body is supposedly only fit to process water and alcohol. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas asked for caution while the situation was still developing. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky assured the Parliament that the army would continue negotiations with the company despite the incident. Queen Shumaila Azunja ordered Zhanlyr Drugs Company to release the formula to the Crown. When questioned about Her Majesty's decision, Zhanlyr Drugs Company announced it would release the tonic's formula as soon as possible.
