Reason of Ban: For being overly agressive as non-antag, and poor play in general and aiming a gun at the Captain. Long track of notes leading up to this.

Reason for Appeal:

Right, to start off this, I want to say that this was a very fucked up situation based on what I think my Character should do, I tried using the example of "What if you met your killer" to Pratepresidenten but it does not seem to have worked. Anyway, just a word before I start this.

Now, first off Pratepresidenten just straight up lied by saying that I was the one who started shooting, where infact, I was just headshotted, here is the proof:

He tried using the excuse of "Me moving" even tho it would say this

That is the emote of moving under aim.

Which is why I shot back of course, being shot in the head tends to do that. Even here, the man who shot me admits to starting all this

 

Now, the main part. His main excuse for this is that, why did I even my gun at the Captain? To that I ask this. What would you do if the man that killed you was standing right there, the brain atleast. MMI or not, that man is still the same man that killed you. This is the thought process I went through. As to aiming at the Captain, I was going to lower my gun at any time, the Captain was calming me down you see, when I get cloned I roll a dice to see what king of negative effects would become of my character. Today I rolled a Six and Ten, which means he is Overly-Aggresive and forgets his family. And the Doctor that was tending to me just left without saying anything.

Back to where the Captain was calming Mark down. He was going to lower his gun at any moment, but I was too late it seemed.

As to the punishment, I think it is very harsh seeing as how I only mostly play Security on this server. I applaud the Admin who takes my case to at the very least make it temporary if my appeal was not that good enough for it to be removed.

Alrighty, it took some time before I managed to get all the pieces of the puzzle together, and I think I have the whole story. I had just gotten on the game before this whole ordeal went down, so I apologize if I write something that isnt consistent with what happened.

So..

Syion had managed to gun down the ninja, where in turn, the ninja detonated his suit, putting him in crit and the inevitable death that followed from not being retrieved. He was then cloned and informed that he had killed the intruder, but he himself had been taken down aswell.

So he went over to departures to confront his killer (That had been stuffed into an MMI), which the captain had posession of. He wanted the MMI, but the captain denied him his request. Shortly after he pulled his machinegun, aiming it at the captain, and security drew their weapons aswell. As I understand it, the captain tried to get Syion to realize that his action was a mistake, and wanted him to put his weapon down.

I would imagine the detective felt that the situation was getting to a boiling point, where he decided to fire off a .38 to Syion's head, to protect the highest ranking member of command, figuring that it would take him out. Unfortunately a headshot isnt a kill mechanic, so Syion returned fire while backing off towards the chapel, putting several shots in the officers and the captain, putting him in crit before he was subdued.

As for this, I never said you shot first, as a matter of fact, the first thing I said was "Syion didnt shoot first". I apologize if I said so early on when we first spoke, but I did correct myself accordingly.

As for you moving, yes, you did get pelted by taser set to aim, but this was after the firefight had started. So this was a mixup on my end.

But what I dont get is why you pulled a machine gun on the top commanding officer over the mangled brain of your killer. You could have gone up to him and grabbed him, yelled in his face, tried to disarm and take the MMI, or just flat out grabbed and punched him in the mouth for denying you your revenge or whatever you had in mind with this MMI.

I mean, the whole "Roll for clone issue" thing is pretty great, but I feel that this particular aggressive roll was way too much.

Would this not have the same effect that I pulled out my machinegun? Punching the guy in the mouth!? I did even plan this to end in a firefight and you expect me to punch the guy in the mouth, I would be shot before you could say gotcha. By pulling out the machine gun, it creates conflict where both partys can engage to either let the MMI go, or calm the man with the Machine gun down. As being cloned can create alot of severe mental issues, and I still use this example. What if you met your killer? How would you react? I used this as an example, A silly example yes, but a example no less.

 

The rush of adrenaline can do some hard-core things, it can even let you feel no pain even if your limb was just torn off. Now, imagine how much adrenaline Mark had seeing his killer being protected by a good friend of his, denying his request of revenge? I could not imagine the feeling myself, but I acted out how it would have played. Atleast this is what I was thinking going through this situation in my head. Did I want a fire-fight? Hell fucking no, it was Escape and I was bound to hit someone innocent, but what do you do if you get shot in the head? You don't just stand there and accept your fate just to save your ass from getting banned, you defend yourself as that is how the character should react.

And I do apologize that i accused you of anything, I was quite heated when writing this because Security is the department I play the most and where my main character is based.

I would not have minded if you went the "revenge" route, that would have been more believable i think. Even with cloning fucking you up i think firing on people, including the captain is just a bit too far out of left field.

As to the Trophy part, because I knew someone was going to bring it up, I was using that on a kind of reward, guy killed me, I killed him = I get him as a reward, or in this case "Trophy."

 

I dunno man. I understand what you where going for here but it really looks like you got silly going after a trophy. I would not have minded if you went the "revenge" route, that would have been more believable i think. Even with cloning fucking you up i think firing on people, including the captain is just a bit too far out of left field.

 

As I said before, did not want this to end in a fire-fight at all, infact, Mark was going to give up at any moment, untill the detective headshotted me.

Based on the responses you've given, and what went down with the parties involved, Im gonna bump your ban down to a week.

Ban will expire on friday, which is 4 days from now.
