Kanza Al'Falak, A meme? A furry? Misunderstood? What you may not know...

So as I roam around the form I come across a lot of Tajaran complaints, sometimes these complaints although don't necessarily name my character Kanza Al'Falk- They pretty much summarize and nail down a couple of her surface level personality quirks and are quick to protest such things as bad or worse! Automatically signaling some made up hidden agenda that somehow if char does "X" or "Y" their real life player is a "Z".

Due to the way Kanza communicates or fails to communicate tends to prevents me from doing what most other people do to flesh at their characters in the game space is to, Quite simply talk about themselves.

Sometimes I see people narrating entire back stories over a glass of alcohol at the bar for everyone to hear, sadly that's not how Kanza works as my approach was intended to be subtle vs the monologuing I see most people do.

Granted some people have managed to sit down with Kanza and/or ask the right thing to get a somewhat disjointed answer or peek into her back story/history and even a few players have found ways to manipulate and change the characters behavior, I don't know if they knew what they had stumbled on.

However this process has been slow and most people are just quick to judge the character on a surface level without ever interacting with her ICly and lately seeing these comments on the forms drives home that I'm doing a poor job of communicating the deeper nuances of the character, So I made up this post as a bit of a chance to ask about the char, Any Meta info you want, Anything you're curious about but maybe find the character unapproachable in the game or just don't want to deal with the puzzle box that is Kanza, and I will try to help clear up any misconceptions or questions.

Lets just put this one to bed first...

I am Not a furry. I don't erp. These two things are not why I play ss13 or Tajara.

Character Name: Kanza Al'Kalak

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Kanza's family was taken from homeworld around the times of initial first contact with humans, This included her mother, her father and her two siblings. Taken by an old industrial tycoon named Rand Lonemen owner and founder of Infinity Dynamics, "Id" is a mid-level resource acquisition corporation. The family of Tajaran was "employed" at the Lonemen private residential compound located in the outer rim, The family worked and lived at the residence in isolation of the larger universe around them.

Kanza was the first and only(This changed later on into Kanza+3 sisters in order to amplify birth complications and mother's death Kanza being the last one born of the four sisers) Tajara born after her family was taken from Ahdomai almost 13 years ago, she was considered a runt and premature by almost a three a month human equivalent, her mother died shortly after giving birth due to complications, Kanza grew up playing with a human child and has imprinted many of her personality quirks to that of a five year old, however these quirks aside she manifests a high degree of intelligence often through an "item of worship" like a small toy(Ducky!).

When Kanza turned 17 the old tycoon Rand Lonemen died suddenly, however taking a sort-of father daughter likeing to the little Tajaran that was born in his home, the old man left a trust for her family, The trust pays NT to keep Kanza working for humans and learning from them, The family however does not know about the trust fund and currently lives in a small NT orbital housing unit also paid for by the trust. The fund is sizable and defaults over to NT at the end of the family's 2nd generation (If Kanza or siblings have kids) even with knowledge the Trust can't be used otherwise. She currently works as a cargo tech (as planned job)

Why care about what other people think, Voyd? It's not like their opinions make them automatically right.

It's just important to make the distinction between complaining and actual feedback, is all. If they are complaining off-handedly just for the sake of doing, chances are they're doing it to vent and feel better about themselves. Like people who make an absolute habit out of cursing when it is unnecessary, it doesn't make one smart nor does it actually relieve stress in the long term.

I really haven't had a problem with Kanza. They're obviously not as "well developed" as other Tajarans in terms of maturity, hence their mannerisms and way of speaking. They're more akin to a domesticated cat to that of the typical Tajaran which are often loose stray cannons and are much more unpredictable in terms of their own personalities, goals and such. Which is not a bad thing. Kanza's mannerisms make the simple out of complex situations, I'm trying to avoid the word "cute" to describe it.
