Age: 15 Timezone: GMT +8 When are you on Aurora?: After school and weekends. Experience How long have you played SS13?: Nearly four years. How long have you played on Aurora: About four months. How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: A lot, with the exception of anything engineering other than basic construction. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: No. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: Within a year of when I first started playing, I was banned for end-of-round grief while acting in self-defence. Personality Why do you play SS13?: It's probably the only game designed primarily for roleplay I know. It also (this server, anyway) has really nice people, all of whom I can relate to. Why do you play on Aurora?: I used to play on Unbound Travels, and when that shut down I heard a heap of people moved to Aurora. It also has the best map. What do moderators do?: Moderators enforce server rules, with the exception of more severe things, which would most likely be handled by an admin. A moderator should also answer any ahelps and help whenever they can. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: It means that I will be held to a higher standard than if I were just a player. It also means that I am there to help others and to make sure rules are followed. It also means that I have more authority within the community and in turn have more responsibility. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I was sort of sitting on the fence as to whether I should or not, but then I made a joke about it and people told me to actually do it, so I figured I have nothing to lose. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I believe that I can handle responsibility well, my helpful attitude will be welcomed as a staff member, and that I have a reasonably high tolerance and can remain calm quite easily. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: I'm not the best with stress, however I can hide my anger quite well, even though it takes quite a bit to make me angry. I'd consider my tolerance of insults exceptionally high. Anything Else You Want to Add: Thanks for consideration, I hope I'm up to standard. I'm also in the university pathway in high school, so at certain points in the year I'll have less/no time to go on the server. I also might have spontaneous workloads for the same reason. I'd also like to mention that I don't exactly think I'm the best at roleplaying, however I do believe that my knowledge of the mechanics is at least somewhat useful. Your OOC conduct, too, is excellent. That being said, I am not sure you come on all that often, and i very rarely see you in IC or OOC. So, overall, I'm unsure. Judging by your actions IC and OOC, I think you would make a good moderator, but I have hardly seen you around, and I believe a moderator should be quite active. Definitely would be a +1 if I saw you more. Then again, you are GMT+8, and I'm GMT+0. So, maybe you're on whilst I'm asleep. That's probably it.

As for activity, I'm on just about everyday, however as you said, you probably don't know me well because of the timezones.

Suddenly, a lot of atack logs appear about two guys shooting eachother with lethal weapons. PM them through a private means, and tell them, politely, that I believe their judgement was incorrect. No point doing that sort of thing in front of others. You get an adminhelp from a heister that a player you know well, but never had to deal with as a moderator, as a medical doctor, got a syringe gun filled up with lethal poison and started fighting them. Upon checking you see that two out of four heisters are dead, one is dying from the poison and the fourth one sent the ahelp, while the doctor is closing in with his syringe gun. No other crew is around the area. Basically, they are winning. What do you do? Omega5102 - Today at 9:22 PM Wind the heister and doctor. Let the heister know it's being dealt with, then PM the doctor to tell him he's breaking the rules on powergaming. Add a warning to the doctor. Also ask for other staff input in regards to punishment, however I'd assume it'd be a ban. Sorry that took so long, it was a difficult question. Omega5102 - Today at 9:27 PM Perhaps the winning mentality of some players (I admit that at times that has been me). I believe that some people play to win the round, not for the sake of fun and RP, and that should change, and if that change were to occur, it would be beneficial to all players. I've also been on-and-off, if that makes a difference. EDIT: I've changed the submission to the correct date. Sorry about that.
