sonicgotnuked
Currently in the code there is a 1% chance that a SM ejection will hit the station. Some engineers got the mind set where it does not matter if you eject the SM core, you can always replace it. It really does not matter because the such low chance there is. I suggest raising this chance to 20% due to the SM having such a high mass and the stations gravity looping it around somewhere. It would add a risk engineers would have to consider when the SM core is blowing up. Link to comment
Guest Complete Garbage
>1% chance Where'd you get that figure? I'll agree it's a fairly low chance it'll hit the station, but it's probably not that low. If you eject right before delamination, like a good engineer should, then there's a 0% chance. Premature ejection is an issue, but it's very rare and can be dealt with case-by-case. Also, how do you propose we 'make it a 20% chance?' Given the way Z-level transferring works and all the map obstacles, it's not really that simple. Link to comment

Currently, there's a 99% chance that the supermatter removes the station's z-levels from consideration for z-transfer. Normal z-transfer probabilities still apply after this, so the chance really is quite low. Link to comment

sonicgotnuked
Yeah, it sometimes happens and it will make it the engineers last option. Link to comment
canon35
Yeah, I don't support this. There's no issue with core ejection and making it more dangerous wouldn't solve shit, it would just mean the station gets fucked by supermatters more. If you want a more dangerous engine, then wait till newmap. Link to comment
LordFowl
Supermatter ejection is going to be different in the new map. No point in changing it now as it stands. Binning. Link to comment
