Azande
This is a result of the 'Remove 2 Chef Slot' suggestion. FIRST Essentially, move the Chef slot down to one, create a 'Head Chef/Kitchen Manager' role, this allows one person to have creative direction over the kitchen, and keeps two roles in there without crowding the manifest, and gives someone authority so they can actually work in cohesion, as well, give this Head Chef authority over the bartender and gardeners so service can finally work in unison and run a bar/restaurant. This role would be equivalent to the QM, but for the kitchen areas, and would still be under the HoP. SECOND Waiter or Server as an alt-title for chef plz thanks. Link to comment
LordFowl
This would effectively make the Head of Personnel the Head of Heads, Heading both the QM, Head of Cargo, but also the Head Chef. Also, an alt title of waiter for the Chef would be dumb. Waiters do not cook. Link to comment

Also, an alt title of waiter for the Chef would be dumb. Waiters do not cook. Well yes, but they do work in managing the distribution of food. In that same step, electricians help manage the space station's power net, a part of engineering (Just like organizing and serving food is a part of cooking), but do not also set up the engine, fix atmos or construct things. Voting for Dismissal. Alternate job titles should come with alternate job responsibilities, which I don't really ever see happening for janitors. You mentioned this in another thread, and I think that waiter and chef/cook are just different but similar enough to be considered an alternate job responsibility while not being tooooo different from chef/cook. As far as the "Head of Heads" bit is concerned, most of the civilian department works without even ever touching their radios anyways (At least when I play bartender or chef), I hardly think it would add too much of a workload onto the HoP. Azande
I don't think this should apply if it's a project. Otherwise when Sue suggested her forensics rehaul, she'd have to had made a new thread for every single machine! Link to comment
Munks
Waiter or Server as an alt-title for chef plz thanks. This would just be an Assistant. I think that waiter and chef/cook are just different but similar enough to be considered an alternate job responsibility while not being tooooo different from chef/cook. Waiters and chefs are not similar in any way except they both work in food service. Chefs cook, waiters don't period. Now I can see Waiters inevitably taking over the kitchen at large and just being an assistant-chef hybrid (Sort like all the cutegurl Nurses who act like Doctors) which makes me feel like even if it did happen somehow they shouldn't get kitchen access. Which, again -- they'll just be assistants. A Superchef having authority over hydroponics and the bartender sounds obnoxious too. These are two different establishments that should not be slave to whatever a micromanaging head chef wants them to be -- especially if the Bartender wants to start charging. If Botany isn't producing at least a bare minimum for the kitchen to function, it's a HoP issue; aside from giving the chef something to go on they should be free to pursue whatever they want autonomously. Ron
Voting for dismissal. I do not believe there will be much benefit in making a new job that does what the HoP already does. Link to comment
