Given that she has money, and her general personality, it makes sense that she'd wear something bright and cheery. She wants to bring a bit of color to the workplace.

Looking back on that sprite makes me wish I could retcon IRL.

Resilynn forwarded an image today of how a pair of red pants and a blue blazer would go together, 'cus I honestly had no idea. I've always been firmly against red and blue together, buuuut:

I went ahead and made everything way less ugly and it's a lot less recolor-looking, now, too. Will provide .DMI on request.
