Mogelix Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 BYOND Key: Mogelix Total Ban Length: Permaban Banning staff member's Key: (This is the staff member's BYOND key/Ckey who placed the ban) Reason of Ban: Repeated instances of IC in OOC Reason for Appeal: I want to come back to this community, it’s a lot of fun and the stricter rules make things less of a clusterfuck, yet at the same time, I’ve shown really shitty repetitive IC in OOC behaviour, all I could really ask for is a ‘downgrade’ to a temporary ban, I don’t disagree with my ban, and had it coming for continuing my behaviour after multiple bans and warning. I was unsure when I should post this, maybe I should’ve waited for the ban to settle in, I don’t know.
Faris Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 This is your second permaban for IC in OOC behaviour in a period of two months, which is honestly a hard punishment to get in the first place. We've already given you a plethora of chances which I'll cite as the fact you have 23 staff entries, which as far as I can see do not put you in a positive light. Why should you be given a chance? When you've used your previous one so quickly?
Mogelix Posted November 20, 2017 Author Posted November 20, 2017 Because I don't actively try and sabotage the community or break rules out of spite, I do something dumb once in a while that gets me in trouble and ultimately banned/warned. My first IC in OOC permaban was for revealing that I was a ninja like a idiot, this one was for calling the common channel cancer, Garnascus told me IC in OOC is not Metagamable IC stuff in OOC, and fair enough, I wouldn't staff complaint this, but I feel like there's a bit of a difference in how this should've been punished. If it wins me any bonus points, I helped a new player by telling them in LOOC not to put smilies in IC, and then showed them how a 'me' works. All of this doesn't answer your question, so you're probably right that I don't deserve a third chance, and that's okay with me, there's other servers out there, but this is probably the best, and I guess I've just 'wasted' this all.
