Forum suggestion: Make the Event ideas bin Admin read only

Just what the titles said, came up when me and Coslf were talking about why people don’t use the event ideas subfourm.

Reason not to use that forum in the event that your idea is accepted

1. Any chucklefuck can go to the forum and read what happens during your event, meaning they can metagame, manipulate things to their advantage, loss of fun, and you lose that sense of mystery and "what’s going to happen next."

2. i really don’t think the admins look there for ideas very much tbh. Because why do someone else's idea when you have your own?

So, with the staggering 60% or so percent of players that want player run events, I think we could reshape the event ideas subfourm into this.

1. It’s perrmissions are set in a way that allows users to post their ideas, but not browse everyone else’s.

2. Admins have overview of all posts, and go through and give them a thumbs up or down. (Maybe select a specific admin for this, dunno.)

3. Once and event as been approved and played, it’s sent to the archive for others to get inspiration from.

I do not like that idea, since it would prevent users from discussing the event.

Ideally it would be two-split.

A general overview of the event, that includes whats going to happen should be posted in a public area so anyone can discuss it.

And details if needed could either be cleared up with the admins or posted in a separate admin-only thread.

Butterobber, event info is literally announced in round after the event is setup. Our players never have metagamed this and I never would expect them to.

I'm against efforts to reduce transparency and community discussion.
