Outboarduniform Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 BYOND Key: Outboarduniform Total Ban Length: Permanent (Discord) Banning staff member's Key: No idea, it’s been ages Reason of Ban: Rejoining and leaving to remove the meme role, I think Reason for Appeal: So, I PMed a staff member about getting unbanned from the discord and they told me to post it here. From what I remember, I was doing the normal thing I did on discord. Shitposting and linking spicy memes, getting into heated political debates in the thunderdome, etc. Then I got the meme role. No explanation, no anything, just Garn/Shadow/someone pinging me with “This is your home now”. I didn’t feel like just sitting essentially muted from everything except the shitpost channel without a reason so I just left and rejoin. I did this about 3 times before I got banned for “punishment evading”. Now I thought this was pretty stupid, but I swallowed the ban and moved on with it. I then started to talk in the IC discord, then I ended up getting warned or something over something petty and told that “this wasn’t an official Aurora server and I could get banned here in a second” or something along those lines. I ended up saying something back that got me banned off there by the same admin, I believe. Now, the thing about being banned from the discord is that it’s the same as being kicked from the OOC community. You don’t get to see the new developments, the new lore stuff, etc. I’m not really asking for much, but I want to be able to actually get back into the Aurora community if I can. I don’t know if there’s actual any grievances you may have against that as all I did was relatively harmless shitposting.
Garnascus Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Unbanned. Meme role was pretty dumb to begin with. Its no longer a thing. Just read the rules and keep excessive shitposting/memes in the trashcan.
