As I've stated before, I've noticed that there are some that actually do, but it's far and few between sometimes. Some of my characters never get called down to pick up their meds. :/

Another thing besides poor bar RP, is that the only time that medical cares to look through the records for the mentally distressed or for perscriptions that need filling, is when I play my IPC, R.I.P. That's really disappointing to know, honestly. I rarely see it happen outside when I play medical, and I have a character that MUST take medications (that's right, motherfucking Uwasv Sidanelv, the depressive shit). Sure, it's mostly for RP, but that's what this server's for, right? In the beginning of the round after Cryogenics and such have been prepared, Medical should take a look trough the files for potential patents for the CMO/therapist, and prescriptions so Chemists have a job to do. As far as therapists go, take a look through the files and choose to do a session of sorts- I understand that it can take hours to do, but a therapist's occupation is for RP. Also choose heads of staff an random characters to interview as a checkup. And for everyone else, medical should also do regular checkups and physical exams too! Sure, I understand that when shit hits the fan, there's not too much time to do any of this. But in the beginning? There's more than enough to take an hour nap. Don't waste good RP time! Remember, this is a HIGH RP SERVER! We're not Hippie ;3

(Sid's 7' now, fixed his height) But yeah, Sid's thing (my Unathi) is that he uses alcohol to cure his insomnia. I just really want to see /better/ bar RP. It's funny to have security come in and drag him out while he whines like a toddler how much the scary ligger wants another drink. I understand everyone's point of view, ESPECIALLY IC, but... bar RP in general is bad and it sucks to play an alcoholic as of now.

Hello! As most of you probably know, I have an alcoholic engineering Unathi named Uwasv Sidanelv. At some point during each round, he says, "fuck it", and goes to the bar to drown himself in alcohol and slip into a liquor coma. However, I've noticed that this method is terribly boring. It's his character, and in a way he has to do it, but no one cares that he does. So, here's my problem: 1. Most bartenders don't give a shit. They'll give him booze and let other patrons cart him off. 2. Most bartenders don't charge. I know that's mostly a personal preference thing, but it'd be better RP if patrons had to struggle a little to get their drinks. 3. Security doesn't give a shit until the Bartender calls for them. If someone's walking around wasted, they shouldn't be allowed to work with equipment on a research station until sober. Either they are to be incarcerated or suspended until they're sober. 4. Most Heads of Staff don't give a shit. Employees of a department are a representation of that department and their head. If someone under them is completely smashed, there should be consequences. Incarceration for first offense, second offense is demotion, third is a complete suspension. 5. Most characters don't give a shit. Again, if someone is walking around wasted, they should be reported by a good samaritan to their department/head of department. 6. Most of Medical doesn't give a shit. Medical should be worried more about intoxicated crewmembers as they pose a hazard to themselves and to others. If a drunk is found and they are given permission by a Head, they should give medication to detox the crewmember and hold them until they are sober. Repeat offenders should be put into therapy and such. This is more or less for RP for EVERYONE. I love it when Uwasv is kicked out of the bar when his words start slurring and he's asking for more booze; it makes for good RP. But when the bar is left unattended and security walks by and ignores him? That sucks. The bar is more or less an RP occupation and should be more RP focused! Step it up, guys!
