No, malf AI and admins can set up the security level to delta without enabling the nuke or auto-destruction protocol. Malf AIs and admins. So it means combat robot should only be left for malf AI or special rounds? The only thing Delta alert is initiated by (excluding antag modes and adminbus) is when the nuke is about to go off. When the nuke is about to go off. Why even have the combat robots if they are going to live for only 120 seconds before they die?

Neato. Now all that remains is borer and memetic anomaly

Probably the reason why people actually pick combat borgs, even when out of red alert, is the mobility module. The mobility module is probably the greatest, best, and most beloved module ever available for non-hacked robots. I believe that we may be able to reduce the amount of people picking up combat borg by making the mobility module available for other robot modules. Especially Security module.

Subverting the AI is actually quite easy, and it's a piece of cake if you're an antag scientist. I support this suggestion.

Most of the spells in the Wizard's loadout consists of usually boring and shitter abilities, like EMP, fireball, smoke bombs, etc. However, there is only the standard wizard spell set + standard items that have been ported from Baycode, with horse mask added and moster manual, magical rock, and apprentice contract unavailable. Sadly, most of the spell set is used for being aggressive and evasive. So the suggestion is, more spells from baycode should be ported to auroracode.

Except a gripper to grab components. Can't they at least have the scientific gripper revised a little so that they are able to grab protolathe components?
-
The Research Robots should be able to use a magnetic gripper, which allows to grab a hold of objects such as components and other objects which cannot be held with the scientific gripper.

The main arguments of defending the Breacher suit are either "there's only one guys", "meh it's nothing comparable to TRUE unathi breacher", "just use EMP" or "it's slow" There is usually one or two security unathi each shift, too. The "True" unathi breacher is an admin-spawn only and gives people a reason to cryo. "Use EMP" is an excuse used in almost every single situation on why the breacher shouldn't be nerfed. People who use this argument tend to believe that every single antagonist carries with them an electromagnetic-based weapon, but from what I know (correct me on this if it's wrong), each electromagnetic pulse (aside from the wizard's EMP) consumes roughly 7500W, half an APCs power. With the breacher's suit weakness of 20%+ damage taken from EMP, that'd be 9000W consumed on a breacher suit. Not enough to deactivate it, and requires 2 EMP grenades or 2 ion rifle shots to deactivate a breacher suit. But no one carries a ion rifle on them, due to taking a critical part of the inventory and being essentialy useless against every single other type of opponent save for robots. On top of that, the battery can be upgraded easily. The slowness is negated in space, and the unathi can just deactivate the chest piece to remove all of the movement speed penalties, then quickly be able to re-deploy it. It's easy for individual unathi to pick a breacher suit then solo handedly kill an entire enemy squad because of 60% or higher damage resistance to everything except radiation. The vision sight penalty is too negligible to be even considered to be brought into the argument of why the breacher suit should not be nerfed. Should the breacher suit be removed? No. Should the breacher suit be nerfed? Yes.

So this is why Coalf is anti-synth. He's been practicing for squigger role all along! +1 -
Hyper Force Gloves. A more buffed up version of the regular force gloves. Can be researched at R&D requiring Bluespace Level 5, Combat Level 6, Illegal Level 3. Requires phoron and diamonds to construct. Grabbing a person instantly turns the grab into a neck-grab, rather than a reinforced grab like the normal force gloves. Force-pushing a person becomes an ability with a cooldown of 10 seconds. It shoves the victim back 15 tiles and deals minor brute damage. Ability works by activation. Once prepared, the next disarm move on a target will initiate the improved force-push.

There should be a special server in the Telecommunications satellite that governs all announcements, including Central Command, AI, and more. If it is deactivated, the announcements will not be able to be made. However, due to the importance of announcements, any person who wants to sabotage the server must adminhelp first.

Well actually, maint drones that do great fuck-ups like breaches intentionally get bwoinked, and depending on how much they fucked up, a warning or a ban

BYOND Key: arzion Character Names: Most oftenly Louis Field. Species you are applying to play: Dionaea What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I would like to play this race because it sounds interesting and cool. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: First of all, they're often known due to their very low speed. They heal out of radiation and are immune to fire (From what I know, this will be changed to just increased regeneration later on). Without light for an extended amount of time, they will suffer a lot of damage. They are immune to pressure and temperature (they are soon to be nerfed to have a weakness to cold, however, for balancing reasons). They have their own language, too, named Rootsong. While they are able to speak and/or understand languages based on the genetic samples they have acquired, they are also known for speaking slow and acting slow. There are no actual "individual" adults but rather, each Dionae is a collectivity of nymphs acting together. Character Name: Sun Over Plains Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs : It was grown by a human on Earth, first considered more of a pet, but after a while, it was considered a household member. It had a regular, casual life, helping with things around the household when needed. Eventually, it decided to look for work, and so chose to work on one of the stations owned by the mega-corporation Nanotrasen. What do you like about this character? : The calm temperament. Relaxed attitude. How would you rate your role-playing ability? : Mediocre-to-good. Notes: Regarding the backstory, eventually, the nymph merged with other nymphs grown by the human, forming the Gestalt.

I'd play it but PC cannot run it.

Antagonist drones would still be a cool thing. Serve more of a role akin to glass cannons, being able to destroy rapidly but easily be destroyed in the process. It takes one or 2 laser carbine shots to actually kill a maintenance drone.

As the title says. I've actually made the antag drone suggestions on another thread, so I'll copypaste them here and see what people think about the things. (Disclaimer : Antag Maint Drone module additions are left at the discretion of staff) - A laser weapon - A weaker version of the Ninja's APC drain ability so that they can recharge their power - Vent crawl - RCD - Internal Destructive Analyzer (Could instead be used to get rid of weaponry and additional things) - Increased battery power - Internal recharger (Recharges materials at the expense of battery power. Toggled on or off) - Mobility Module (Works like Combat Robot's mobility module) (Rolling maintenance drone sprite required) - Inability to be destroyed via carding - Moderate EMP shielding (Reduces EMP stun duration and power drain by 50%) What do you guys say about the suggestions? Feedback, opinions etc. are appreciated.

Traitor maintenance drones actually sound very interesting. I suggest looking into ways to make them a viable choice during auto-traitor. For example, they could fill a "glass cannon" role, where they both die quickly but can cause massive chaos quickly. Suggestions for what traitor maintenance drones should get : - A laser weapon - A weaker version of the Ninja's APC drain ability so that they can recharge their power - Vent crawl - RCD - Internal Destructive Analyzer (Could instead be used to get rid of weaponry) - Increased battery power - Internal recharger (Recharges materials at the expense of battery power. Toggled on or off) - Mobility Module (Works like Combat Robot's mobility module) (Rolling maintenance drone sprite required) - Inability to be destroyed via carding - Moderate EMP shielding (Reduces EMP stun duration and power drain by 50%) One or more of the things suggested above could turn maintenance drone into a viable rare glass cannon.
