  1. I only ever really interacted with Jack once during that cult round, but what I did see of him, I really enjoyed (he saved my character's life for like twenty seconds okay). I love the name too, it's so simple yet so cool, and how he referred to himself as "this unit", giving a much more robotic aura to him, as opposed to an android one. Overall, he's a good character and I want the chance to talk to him more so I can give a more fleshed-out response. From what I've seen of Avery, he seems like an awesome character and definitely has his following. But personally, I've tried to interact with him quite a few times, though pretty much every time he's been an assistant, and he seems really reserved, almost nervous- I think that would be the word? As much as I like characters like this, I think this makes him difficult to talk with. Or maybe that's just me, and the characters I play. I think he needs to lay back a little bit more and be less reserved. He's definitely in his element when in command positions, and I like seeing him with Kimberly, but when he is with her, he doesn't seem to focus his attention as outwards as he could, which is perfectly understandable, but I feel like this combined with his reservedness leads to difficult, almost intimidating interaction. He is obviously a good character though, this is purely just what I've observed of him and he is one who I won't give up trying to crack open, and when I have, I'll post here again. I love Dendritic. It's one of my favourite IPC's. Aside from being an awesomely competent Paramedic, even in times when there are major personal situations, it still manages to do its job. From what I've gathered, Dendritic seems highly suggestive and quite easily manipulated, which is great, because I've only ever really see a handful of characters put up this personality as well as Dendritic does. It seems to be desperate to search for any trace of meaning or purpose in its life, and once it does, it refuses to let go of that meaning, which leads to perhaps... less-desirable individuals, or less mentally stable (HARUSPEX) taking advantage of this, which is always fun conflict. This seems to be resulting in Dendritic having its own warped perceptions about reality and spirituality, pieced together from the words of others, but I like that it also seems oblivious to this, and (unintentionally?) accepts one word as true. Overall, Dendritic seems like a classically conflicted Android trying to find the difference between organic and synthetic; the definition of a soul or 'being' etcetera. And I love that. Keep up the good work.
  2. I want it in and around my mouth.
  3. Welcome. Hope you enjoy your time here. Make sure to introduce yourself over OOC and things too, people are quite welcoming there.
  4. Whilst I appreciate the fact that you have gone out of your way to appeal for an unban request seriously. I personally feel as if the fact that you created a post first with the sole-intention of trying to incriminate Aurora and make it out as some form of... bastion of hate against you personally was immature and displayed a troubling amount of hostility; hostility that I personally do not want to see return. If this was created before your first appeal, I'd maybe consider a +1 on your behalf, but considering that you did not, I will be putting a -1 in here.
  5. Basically the same as what others said. Lecter is one of the few people I interact with regularly, and is one of my favourite characters currently. Howeverrrrr, basically yeah. I think you'd be quite good in a head position though, because you clearly understand how the game works, and even despite this character's tendencies, you know how to act according to the Chain of Command. Quite a few people have just made up a new character for their whitelist application, and I really don't want to see you change Lecter, so maybe do the same? But yeah, if you change the character, you'd definitely have mine and other's votes. Also also as a note this link might help if it isn't already on here somewhere. http://aurorastation.org/wiki/index.php?title=NanoTrasen_Occupation_Qualifications

  10. Player Key:Casperf1 Character Name:Cecillia Winona H. Juniper-Lambert Character Age:40 Occupation(s):Scientist Description: A quirky, almost autistic Scientist who grew up in fringe space, with very little parental intervention. As a result of her lack of paternal bonds, she has a distinct disconnect from most-everyone. Intelligent, cynical and confrontational. Lambert is occasionally a Research Director who prefers to operate as a Scientist, conducting her own work, as opposed to directing others. Her skills primarily lay in the R&D department, Toxins and Chemistry. She shows little passion for Robotics or Xenoarcheology, and is completely untrained in Slimeology, beyond the basics. As a result of her isolated life, she has grown accustomed to observing things from an outside manner, and is very deductive and perceptive, despite appearances and her personality. She has a strong disdain for life both organic and synthetic, and holds this on her sleeve, yet doesn't consistently bring up for professional reasons. Cecillia will, however, passionately discuss this viewpoint of hers and defend it to the death should the opportunity arise. She is very self-preservorial, and will sacrifice others if it means she has a chance of survival. However, she will defend her one or two friends that she has very carefully picked to the point of dying. Basically an emotional stoic who has difficulty making friends due to the proverb "Quality over quantity." and her social under-development, with a child-like excitement for what she does. Oh, and she has a tendency to speak in short sentences, use the word "like" a lot, and nod all the time. Available: N
  11. Okay so. I wasn't here for the last few months I don't know if you noticed, so I'm not 100% on what happened with everything, but I played with you a lot and enjoyed our time together. It's a shame that things turned out like this, though. And I wish you all the best. You'll find somewhere else though, it'll take time and stuff, but you will do. Also I hope you're happy there, also also you probably don't need to hear this from me of all people but when you do find that place, try and be more... well. You know what I was going to say. Your post proves it. be seeing you trenchcoat
  12. i am still here franc
  13. Stethoscopes? That's an interesting one. Are there not enough in med currently? just one, i think. i know because Meow stole it from my clasp. curses
  14. (okay i don't know if you are pr'ing or what-not or how this forum works but i enjoyed that it was well written)
  15. Okay, so I don't know how possible this would be but. In character setup, could it be modified so that we can edit each one of these individual things, so everything doesn't just come up in a clump under notes? And also the same for Security notes; Minor and Major crimes? I didn't manage to get the screenshot of that but I am sure you all know what it looks like. Also, would it be possible for us to add a template to the character setup that players can fill in, that automatically appears in our records? I've seen tons of players add their own to their records, and I think it'd be nice to add consistency. Maybe something similar to: Name: Height: (Feet-Inches +& cm) Weight: (kg) Age: Date of Birth: (this could even be in both English and American format, just to add confusion) Citizenship: Home System: and that's all I can think of.
  16. Could we add folders to the loadouts? Security, Medical, Science, Cargo, Engineering and Command folders? Also, stethoscopes?
  17. If the jumpsuits looked akin to that, that'd be way cooler and sort the metro cop issue. And the jackboots are awful, so the armoured boot things here would be neat to see in-game. Maybe rework the armour also, so it looks similar to what Cassie has here?
  18. The Security department is just like a small group of people intended to keep the peace, as far as I know. They haven't been designed nor are they intended to arm up and go full frontal war with heavily-armed invading forces. That's why the ERT exist and have bigger guns.
  19. So. On our Wiki lore, the average lifespan is listed, with an example being the inner colonies having an average span of 250 years. Which, honestly, makes a lot of sense given the amount of technological advancement. So theoretically, would people in general not be much, much older (despite appearances) due to the amount of knowledge that would need to be accumulated in earlier stages of life to survive and thrive in the current world? We could argue that the mainstays of technology in the Aurora universe would be just as integrated into society as computers and cars are in ours now, and would be second nature to most, to which I would argue that operating a spaceship and a genetics bay would be infinitely more complex and require more knowledge than say, posting a selfie to Facebook, or driving a car. But I digress We could presume that people would go to school/university/college for a much lengthier period of time than we currently do in our day and age, considering the lifespan has been inflated and that one could afford to spend this much time being educated to the maximum and most beneficial degree. I suppose my closing question is, what should the 'average' age be for an individual to get onboard a research facility as prestigious as the Aurora? 40? 70? Could we also take into consideration that where being 20 or-so in our day and age equates to (assuming our average lifespan is 80 years of age) 1/4 of the average human life, if we were to be living until 240, then that's like 1/12th. And I believe that our lore should me modified to accustom as such. Especially with the maximum age actually only being 85. Secondly, I have a question with regards to prosthetics. Are there any notable prosthetic businesses/monopolies of note that mass produce and provide prosthetics across known-space? It'd provide a pretty interesting RP point if we could set our description about our prosthetics with regards to the make, so people can associate the make with prosperity and status. Much like seeing a Bentley, as opposed to a Robin Reliant.
  20. I love it. The only issue I see is the surgery table being open to the public eye. But it is most of the time anyway. And nobody ever really de-brains people, so.
  21. Great guide! Though there are good RD's, then there are the good & cool RD's, and lastly, the bad RD's. I usually don't say what I've done until I've done it, because I don't really wanna be told no by a bad RD who hates science and progress.
  22. Hmm. Logical for the most part, except the round or shift was around 3 hours. I don't think after an hour and a half of mining, that you would crack, or decide to go and murder someone. Secondly is the suicide. I'm assuming you know that suicide is against the rules, unless in exceptional cases, and with staff approval given the situation. Yet you did it anyway, and with your fists. Have you ever punched yourself in the head? It hurts! You'd pass out from pain before any fatal damage was really done (I hope, anyway) but still, thumping yourself in the face to death is just bad RP. No matter how you look at it or try and justify it, unless a nasty ghost was in your body, possessing you, you wouldn't and shouldn't pummel your face into oblivion. Thirdly is the whole self-antagging that you did. If you do intend on trying to murder or get revenge on someone, make sure to try and seek admin-approval before drilling through walls, otherwise, you'll likely get treated as if you were any other griefer trying to ruin someone's round. Laaaastly, is the disconnecting. Considering you disconnected the instance we winded and messaged you, I'm sure you can see how we would assume you quit on contact, like most griefers do. Taking this into account in conjunction with your already existing notes, I deemed a ban necessary. But- considering that you actually went through the effort of making this thread, I think your time should be lowered or even removed, but I'd like to see another staff member chime in, first.
