  1. Journal of Discovery updated with an amazing anomaly. The bluespace pylon.
  2. Journal of Discovery updated with a new finding: The Never Empty Urn. This time, a spectromery analysis was added to documentation. It was impossible to do it before, due to a malfunctioning of the spectrometers.
  3. Cause that is included in game. It would be nice to have more things added, but let's use what we have.
  4. It's an analysis you don't see, its hypothetical and it would be done by Central Command workers. In roleplay you have to imagine many things. All in the game is not meant to be funny, some things are there to create ambient, context and roleplay.
  5. If you don't like paperwork then don't play in a HRP server. That's all I can say. In real life, amount of materials mined from the asteroid are really needed to get statistics, and percentages of Science exploitation of those.
  6. Those logs are really important cause it shows the escalation of the issue, and how my character could have periodically gone out of his mind and lost control of the situation. The context is always very important. Still, fleeing with a criminal who is being searched and for sure will be arrested, and fleeing in command pods that could be gunned down due to unauthorized launch is not realistic. Still, it's important to remark that Mayfield is a criminal to see how unrealistic it is the fact that Jesse decided to flee with him if you never had interactions before. I'm sure there's a reason you didn't post those logs :). You made that threat to pierce a hole with a thermal drill through a human being prior to any other action. It's unrealistic, you take life and death like nothing just because it is a game, but you can't just kill someone in real life piercing a hole through their chest like in Dragonball without being a psycopath. It's important to let everyone know your threats to understand the behaviour of my character my dude. I wasn't playing alone, you were there, Jesse was there. What my character did is nothing but the reactions to your movements It was not pushing like push intent + click but shoving me moving against my character. It is not unless you are a criminal, Jupiter. Command Pods are pods for command, I bet that as the good writer you are you can probably understand this. I've also been told mutlitple times that those pods can be gunned down if a unauthorized launch is detected. I love the amount of sarcasm and linguistic demagogy you apply when writing. Is that your issue with me and you want to give an advice instead of having me punished you could talk to me through Discord, like I usually do towards other players if my will is to help them improve instead of trying to get them punished, I get this is not the case. You can see it matching up when you add the context you have been trying to hide multiple times ^^ When you place someone who is not as trained as a Head is to handle these situations, and once his life was threatend, and if you knew a bit of his story, you would understand the reaction, but I guess, again, that your will is not to learn, or to help people to improve but to get someone punished. That's the reason you were so interested in learning about Fresh character and not at all interesteed in mine. You don't know a thing about his personality Your character and you as player are involved in this matter, stop trying to hide the actions you did prior to mine or to mark those as something without importance, the context and what happened to make my character react like that is one of the most important things to investigate. I don't have a reason to let you know about this, but I will, so maybe you can understand why I am going to defend my position until the last consequence. If I get any kind of punishment I will get a permaban without appeal chance. This is why I'm going to defend myself in this complaint like if it were some kind of last stand, and this is why I'm hardly criticizing the way you are expressing yourself (with emoticons and jokes like references to Space Oddysey), maybe this complaint is kind of funny for you, or at least that's what you are showing with this behaviour. It's not funny for me, it's not a game for me. If I want to let you know something that I think you could improve, as I said, be sure I won't post a player complaint, I would contact you through Discord to speak about it. Player complaints are OOC, and I don't like to use them if I think there was no malicious intent. That's how I would like people to act towards me, and, even if nobody does it, I will keep doing it. That's all for the moment. Thank you.
  7. Hello. First of all, I would like to clarify if this is a character complaint (against Gunnar) or a player complaint against me. This is kind of important. I will defend from the OOC part, if you wish to speak about IC issues, create an IR. Don't mix IC and OOC, that's one of the most basic rules. First of all I thought about making a player complaint against you for self-antagging. You out of nowhere, without a reason, decided to start acting like that. Refusing to fill yield declarations, refusing to follow Captain orders, Calling the company a shit. I read a lot of ''funny'' sarcasm in this complaint, talking about a ''typical thematic veteran QM'' (which has nothing to do with Gunnar) or something, when you are playing another topic ''bad boy miner who refuses to follow any rule''. I hope admins take into account this kind of language and expressions in your complaint. Next thing, you are not posting the logs of all the conversation through the radio, which I hope the admins try to get to see the context. Now, finally starting my defense after saying these things. #1 First let's talk about the context. My character, Gunnar, had been pulled to his limit during all the shift. A Shaft Miner playing with him and calling him names, all kind of things over the radio, insulting him. And the CT was backing Gideon without a reason. I really love the amount of ''acceptable roleplay'' you displayed during the lenght of the round, just cause you both knew that, usually, there are no consequences for doing that kind of things. You just troll avoiding all kind of responsability roleplay and hide it behind ''my character doesn't care''. You were a CRIMINAL, and my character, Gunnar, was actually trying to protect Jesse, an immature CT who was wearing a gasmask all the shift without a reason (gas masks are quite uncomfortable, but she said she looked better in it) from herself, and from going away with a criminal. A criminal who threatened to make a damn hole in my chest with a thermal drill. That's very realistic for a simple miner to drill through people, right? I also love how people always dodge any kind of fear roleplay. You have your Quartermaster, who by description is quite big, with a shovel, on the door, and you go straight to push him even if you are just a simple immature CT. In fact, when she came to push me, I hit her with the shovel. I didn't want to break her skull, break anything at all, I was just trying to intimidate her, but it seems that fear RP is non-existent. It's 2461, a couple of shovel hits are nothing to medication. My character, Gunnar, acted, as you can see, in a very difficult situation (situation he is not trained to handle), being threatened by a miner with a thermal drill (it seems that nowadays killing is a simple thing, everyone can do it, without any kind of psychological issue), after he was pulled to his psychological limit during all the shift. In the end you broke into command and got out in pods, ignoring any kind of roleplay. It's great how you go through the rounds walking on self-antagging limit. #2 I don't know where you got that information from, but that's totally incorrect, lol. The only correct thing is that I left the shuttle when I knew Corvo was borgified. Then, a cyborg (Corvo) captured me (baton + cuff) and pulled me to the IA core where I was borgified. I didn't approach any core or did anything, this is totally false. Wtf. #3 This happened in a different round, different things, do not make two complaints in one, also this is IC. Totally IC. Do not mix OOC and IC. Do not mix character and player. Thank you. #Summary: You are not a player to judge characters when you have Gideon who is a total topic and would have been fired years ago in any company, not to talk about working on a billions-worth station. You have been mixing IC and OOC in this complaint, and mixing two rounds to make me look worse than I am, creating a chaos regarding all the things that happened. Also, you decided to state that I did something I didn't to make me look like the most horrible player or something (all the #2).
  8. Reporting Personnel: Gunner Tyrann Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Quartermaster Game ID: bZR-dDXZ Personnel Involved: Gideon Mayfield (Shaft Miner) - Offender, Nathan Corvo (Captain) - Witness, Jesse Johnston (CT) - Witness Time of Incident: Between 6:30 and 7:00 (aprox) Real Time: Around 2 AM (CEST) Location of Incident: Cargo, Supply Radio Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ X ] - Neglect of Duty [ X ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [ X ] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ Overview of the Incident: The miner Gideon Mayfield gave me a yield report which was empty, blank. Only present numbers were zeros, which in fact were right, since that was material he didn't mine. However, the blank spaces should contain the number of materials, ingots, etc gathered by him. He said that the numbers, I quote, ''magically vanished''. I kindly offered him to fill the yield report again, but he refused cause he ''didn't remember, he gathered a million of everything''. Then he said that I am no one to tell him what to do, and that a Quartermaster is not over a Shaft Miner. I decided to remind him that I am his supervisor, as stated in our contracts. At that moment, I called security. He kept saying that the numbers ''vanished into bluespace'' and that ''it was not his problem''. Security asked him to fill the yield report, and he refused. At this moment, the Captain entered the conversation over our Supply Radio, offering him to clear the situation and fill the yield report, again, he refused, repeating that it was not his fault and that the numbers vanished, and he couldn't do anything about it since the materials were already gone (they were sent to Science department 2 minutes ago, a department which is meters away from Cargo). Next thing is did is provoking. He literally said ''You want to take this further, I'm out on the rock, come get me''. The Captain asked him to report to Security due to this behaviour, again, he refused, saying it was bullshit and he wasn't going to be processed for this, ignored the captain order. Then he something like: ''this quartermaster is a fucking shit cunt who can't reel his shit over a tree bark''. The Captain said he was going to be demoted and arrested. He provoked again, telling us to go find him on the asteroid. He refused to come back. He then kept saying those kind of things he was saying before over the radio. ''This quartermaster has a massive stick up his ass'', ''I don't want to stay on this wank-ass station, there are hundred of corporations searching for miners'', ''I can get this job tomorrow somewhere else'', ''You can't do nothing to bother me, I will make your officials life impossible if they come to arrest me, I'll leave on next shuttle and get fired, go back to Mendell and get laid, and then get a new miner job somewhere else''. There are more quotes like these but I think it's enough. If you wish you can get the transcriptions somehow. However, the Captain informed me that he would back me up, since he heard all this conversation which happened in Supply Radio. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: I am the Head of my department as Quartermaster, but this was reported to the Captain too, in fact. Actions taken: The Captain gave the order to arrest him but Gideon left to the asteroid. Additional Notes: Gideon was given multiple chances to correct his mistake, he ended up disrespecting all the Cargo Department, not following Captain orders, and in the end, disrespecting the company. You can get all the transcriptions of the radio somewhere, probably.
  9. Hello. I was playing Phoron Researcher, in Toxins. My mix was a bit too hot, like 7000K. I was hoping that the borosilicate windows could resist it, and in fact, they were shattering and getting damage but I knew there was another layer of borosilicate just in case, it would take a long time for both layers to break. I wanted to keep the mix without spacing it cause the phoron was going to be quite quite hot, a really good mix. But the surprise came when the REINFORCED WALLS got destroyed (became girders) BEFORE the first layer of borosilicate windows broke. That was like: WTF? And then someone decided to place a fuel tank in Toxins Maint, so the phoron filtered through the windows (and the fire), I pressed the spacing mix button but the fuel tank exploded. So, borosilicate windows resist more heat than reinforced walls? That should be changed, or get two layers of reinforced walls in Toxins, cause it does not make sense right now.

    I like it! +1
  11. I have been playing in Polaris if we are only talking about SS13 decent RP, and I've been also trying other roleplay games and systems to learn as much as possible (from table role games to GTA/ARMA) I've been playing in other SS13 servers but they aren't that serious, calling themselves mrp but not even reaching light rp status (The fallout one, for example, also another one focused in world war) And a bit of CM Thank you
  12. BYOND Key: KieranWise Total Ban Length: Permabanned Banning staff member's Key: Aboshehab Reason of Ban: However I had many warnings and temporal bans before. Reason for Appeal: Hello. It's been a long time since the last time I applied for this ban to be lifted (last attempt here) I was told to wait for the next year (2019) by Abos (I know Abos is kind of retired at the moment). I thought about making this appeal the very first day of the year, but all that went through my mind at that moment was that I wanted to play. Now, 4 months after the year started, 6 months since the last appeal and 9 months since I was banned, I think I am ready to post this appeal. I've been keeping myself up to date reading the forums and trying to know what was going on in the server, cause I always wanted to come back, this is the best roleplay community I ever found, and these months away confirmed it. It may sound like if I were trying to flatter you, but if this is my third or fourth appeal regarding this ban, that's probably cause I really like the server. I always wanted and still want to contribute, I haven't been the greatest player, not even a good one, but never did something wrong on purpose. I've been trying to learn in other roleplay communities, and I think I did. I've been given many chances in this server already, that's the truth. I will understand if this appeal is denied, but I will come back in another 2 or 3 months with another appeal (like I've been already doing) All I can say is that I did wrong, I was punished, I accepted it and tried to learn from it. Thank you for reading this. By the way, I would like if you could ask Abos about this, I don't feel good about being unbanned by another admin without the approval of the one who banned me. Thanks again.
  13. Appeal denied. I miss the server, I had to try at least...
  14. BYOND Key: KieranWise Total Ban Length: Permaban Banning staff member's Key: Aboshehab Reason of Ban: Reason for Appeal: https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=11805 The reason has not changed, it's been 2 months since the last time I appealed and... I'm still asking for the same, another chance, thank you.
  15. BYOND Key: KieranWise Total Ban Length: Permaban Banning staff member's Key: Aboshehab Reason of Ban: Reason for Appeal: It took me a month and a half to think about this, and, finally, I think I'm prepared to appeal this ban. First of all, the situation that led to this ban was confusing and quite difficult, even an experienced player could have done it wrong. There was an antag (a vampire, I think), and I was the AI. I got several reports (PDA message) about that crew member, who was acting strange, someone even reported that he (maybe she, I don't remember) was biting another crew member in the neck, at Cargo Bay, and I could see how he/she destroyed all the Medbay reinforced windows at once without even getting close. So, in fact, there was 0 metagame, it was clear that he/shg was a threat. Anyways, with, or without metagame, I messed up, I tried to help with my best intentions, but I messed up and didn't follow the protocol related to laws that are interfering. That's all I have to say about the situation that led to this ban But I wasn't permabanned just for this situation, I have notes, so many notes, I had other bans lifted... that's why I took my time to think about this. I'm starting a new stage of my life, entering college, moving... and I would like to start a new stage here too, I really wish to become a good player, develop something cool... I have some ideas that could be cool... If I get this ban lifted, I will delete all my characters and stick to playing just one (at least for a while) so I can fully understand what roleplaying means. It sounds quite stupid to me to ask for ''another chance'', cause I was already given that ''another chance''... but, in fact, that's what I'm asking for here... I hope you can understand the situation and give me... another, another chance. Thank you.
