Back when I played more frequently I played C-R-O-s-S and Aspect. The way I play AI is less of a full character and more of a roleplay tool to help crew and antag RP, losing is more fun then winning and abusing the AI position can remove a lot of fun for both crew and antag by cutting roleplay short. I enjoy sticking to your main rules but also having to pay attention to crew authorization levels before executing any command. There is something calming about sitting back and responding to requests as well as monitoring situations to aid those in need, i.e. evaluating risk to sapient life and denying or accepting requests. for example opening an area for emergency response crews to save a crews life or denying access to an aera to due extreme danger. all while sticking to a set of rules. The AI I play have a "personality matrix" can be outsmarted.. but at the end of the day I play them more like a highly sophisticated AI system that responds to commands and warns of danger. It is always enjoyable to see a crew member being attacked and advising security a vague warning such as "Security response recommended to area "x", Crew under attack" then have characters ask the questions for more details if available. To summarize everything above, I want to be a tool to aid other peoples RP while still being a personality to interact with. Have you received any administrative actions? I believe enough information has been given to come to a decision on this. First off a OCC type of issue. Sophoric is a huge roleplay blocker and should only be used if there are no alternatives such as hand cuffs etc. That is not a rule... more of a suggestion. Moving on to the concerns brought up in this complaint. From what has been stated this would not be considered a live firefight situation however I would consider it a situation. Note : it being near the end of the round is not a excuse to lower RP expectations. I know frustrating situations occur A EMT is not a Paramedic however based on the province I live in a EMT certification can take 6-24 months to achieve - company depending. As such I believe a EMT is quite capable but should not be in a unsecured area unless it is a last resort and life threating situation. I.E a warzone. I do believe there was a failure to uphold fear RP as even though it was a mistake you were shot. IRL if you got shot with a laser rifle that would cause intense burning you would at the very least withdraw and allow for security to detain or pin the subject before you attempt to engage. To summarize I have decided this complaint is valid. However it is not a severe offence due to the circumstances around it. Moving forward allow security to do the suppression unless there is no alternative. Sophoric is completely fine to carry on you it can add some nice touches to RP if you are lacking pain killers or if something major happens. Try your best not to engage someone outside of medical, stay close by and fix the wounded after a engagement. As stated above I do not think this severe but it is valid. As such I will be applying a notation in your account and any further infraction of a similar nature will be followed by more administrative action. Hello, I am Melodic and will be handling your unban request as the staff whom issued it is retired. before proceeding I would appreciate some clarification on some things I have noticed in regards to the multiple accounts attached to yours. Based on your answers we will be able to continue. It seems that you have used multiple Byond Accounts to attempt to access the server over the last while. Dj_Chad is the one I know you wish to use going forward however what was the purpose of attempting to use other keys to access the server? was it an attempt to bypass the ban? and if so a explanation of what you planed to do if you were able to bypass would assist in the final decision on removing or keeping your ban. Final inquiry, I believe that you have been temp banned a few times for using multiple keys to bypass the respawn timer. If you are permitted back on the server do you understand and agree to not use multiple keys to try and bypass the system? --- I recommend Ahelping to get the timer reset, that way if we deem it reasonable we can respawn you. Though I can't speak too much as to the lore, I believe it should be noted with in your application about the mechanical differences for how this species is different from humans. For example the speech mannerism or less cold resistance as well as the others.

Though I do not recognize any characters other then maybe one, from a long time ago, I have read through your application and personally I think your OOC answers are pretty good. Thus I will give a +1. If the answers are genuine then you will make a excellent head of staff

So, I don't know too much about the lore of the bugs but reading you application brings to mind a few questions. First and foremost does nanotrasen allow vacura to go on station and work without certifications or work permits? And if not it may be a good idea to add in the backstory for when Xiv had time to get such permits and certificates. Second (this one's probably dumb) non-vacura live in the hive with you? Enough so that you can take their tools? - (this is more of a cool didn't know that sorta deal) Finally what drove your character to the NSS Aurora, to me it seemed more like "yeah they are doing fine, working and doing this and that for the hive." And then suddenly they are a miner for Aurora? Why not stay a miner for the hive? - sorry for the questions, MelodicVoid

As for the name I actually wanted to be called NT-7-C but I wasn't sure if that was okay for a first character. I'd rather a nickname be made by the crew as well.

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I personally started playing as Borgs and AI when I first joined the server, and I have always debated on making a IPC Whitelist due to my enjoyment of playing those roles. Now that I have a few whitelists out of the way I think its time for me to try for an IPC. Though not overly like an AI or Borg as they have more freedom in a sense. The vast RP styles and frames that are available to an IPC should make for some excellent character design options. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Thought of by most humans as tools, Mysteries to Tajara and Dionaea new to the system and Disliked, hated or feared by some older Skrell an IPC is vastly different in the way they function, they are creations of other species intellect. they play more like a Borg with a better processing and interpretation matrix, though they have varrying Rp styles based on what software is loaded on them. They are the only species capable of using and understanding EAL, besides stationbounds, If owned they are seen as property and destruction is not murder but sabotage or vandalism. they are capable of processing situations faster then other species and can output answers quicker. there mind is a database and they are immune to infection and other such things. They are repaired instead of healed and is done with 3 tools, unlike humans who have a more complex internal system. They require cooling systems at least to go EVA. they are highly frame dependent where there stats are based off of such. They can be hacked, require charge and can charge from APC or Cyborg chargers. They are also lawed when owned, not to extent of a borg but lawed none the less Character Name: NT-7-C (Humans call it Plexi, and will be called such in creator where records will show NT-7-C as main name) Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs. The NT-[]-C Series or Nanotrasen –[Unit Number] – Clerical Unit is a unit designed as part of a agreement between Zeng-hu Pharmaceuticals and NanoTrasen designed by Bishop Cybernetics. The purpose of the agreement was to create a fast and efficient clerical unit that was able to work with and type up paper and databases efficiently. Zeng-hu provided a bulk purchase discount to Nanotrasen partially due to the research agreement they have. There were 7 units, all Zeng-Hu Mobility Frames created from this arrangement of which the first four went to the NSS Baldr, an administration station in Sol, the rest including NT-7-C were sent to the NTCC Odin to assist in paperwork administration. NT-7-C was the last to role off the assembly line and was the end of the bulk order. This unit saw service aboard the NTCC Odin processing paperwork written by Captains, HOPS and CIAA’s. The Mobility frame assisted in fast moving from fax to database to storing and organizing physical copies. Noticing NT-7-C’s ability to accomplish tasks with a higher efficiency and quality, if only slightly than NT-5 and 6-C lead to NT-7-C being given additional tasks, moving from processing paper work to processing transfers, new hires and vacation days. Eventually NTCC Odin was posed with a issue, an abnormal amount of requests was coming in from the NSS Aurora, a station in which was lacking Head Of Personal staff due to a vacation booking error. The NTCC Odin decided to send NT-7-C to the NSS Aurora to cover the position in absence of the appropriate staff. To central commands surprise the mess of paperwork that was coming out of the NSS Aurora was rectified quickly and paperwork was moving incredibly efficient. Station transfers to position alteration was handled almost perfectly. After the period of time In which the Head of personal staff’s vacations came to a conclusion NT-7-C returned to the NTCC Odin and began to continue its tasks. However things had changed, if a Head Of Personal called in sick and shift was about to begin NT-7-C would accompany the crew shuttle to fill in as the Head Of Personal for the needed station from NSS Upsilon To Phoenix, this of course included the NSS Aurora. What do you like about this character? The big thing about this character will be growth, as she (has a more feminine frame design) will start out as being HOP on the aurora sometimes, Plexi won’t be seen too often. However my idea for character growth is overtime she will gain a permanent position on the Aurora. Plexi is loaded with most needed clerical information such as corporate regulations, Job requirements and paperwork formats, however her personality matrix is still developing and how she handles crew emotions will be lacking to start, like for example she will start off firing someone without a care but as time goes on and she learned more from her interaction with the crew she may be able to process the situations behind the actions and find alternatives to benefit both Nanotrasen and the employee. Huge emphasis on may, as who knows how the crews RP will help shape her matrix How would you rate your role-playing ability? I would give it a 7/10 as nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement Notes: Please provide all feedback, it is greatly appreciated and will help me to develop better characters and improve my knowledge of lore I know its rather abnormal to apply for a race using a command position but I wanted to make something non-ordinary, that and I have a CE and Captain but I don't have a HOP character and I want to make one, why not a synthetic... that is after all how I started playing the server anyway and I feel I can play I decent synthetic being. I personally have enjoyed interacting with crystals characters, Though I know little of the lore of this species I will +1 the player.

The idea I was going for was the were in the people republic the entire time, but very close to the border. When fighting broke out the republic set up a FOB of sorts using the town, eventually losing it and so the republic couldn't re-use the town they razed it. As for that scene well I was going on the premise of they ones who were treated were all very hurt military personnel, which is why they were executed, why leave a room full of people who can get up and kill you Ina. Few months time. The father was collateral and the town itself was mostly evacuated. I was going to include the mother more, she was deployed far away from her home town. Letters were sent back and forth until the loss of the city, then Qistina fell silent. In the iac camp she was very out of it, having witnessed what she did. And didn't really communicate with her mother who would probably think her dead hearing about the town. However Qistina would have started sending letters on the IAC refugee station. The letters would take a fair amount of time. I can edit that in if the explanation isn't enough

Okay.. I hope this is a little better, though I honestly was expecting this to be taken down by now. I tried to emphasis the impact of the war on her, as she wasn't alive for the first one.. and a emphasis on how she got her work permit and education and how shes contracted to NT for funding her.

I honestly regret posting this, its not even permitted by the Application policy. I will be re-writing the entire second portion of this application, it was a horrible character idea.
