Basically what the title says: Let Engineering pick the PMCG (and the constituent subsidiaries as a result) as their megacorporation. The reasoning for this is twofold: 1. I think engineer duties lend themselves well to the culture of the PMCG, and combat engineers and sappers do exist conceptually. 2. Having another department for Engineering would help resolve some of the inconsistencies with origin, species, etc, and the corporations that engineers can pick; FTC Tajara only being able to select Hephaestus, a megacorporation despised by the nation they share a planet with, is one example. Orepitter IPCs being unable to be in Engineering at all because Hephaestus initially wouldn't hire them was another example. Engineering PMCG lore could also be created as a result: Grupo Amapola workers who helped clear debris post-Mandate, or more focus on N4NL's cybersecurity practices...just as some examples.

BYOND Key: SimpleMaroon Staff BYOND Key: connorjg1 Game ID: cx5-aIX2 (this is the game ID for the round where the incident occurred that had Pleig IRed in the first place, though more will be elaborated on below of course) Reason for complaint: About a year ago now, my character, Za'Akaix'Pleig C'thur, was involved in an incident report actioned by Myphicbowser that resulted in her being permanently taken out of play from the current setting. This complaint is to contest the decisions made by Connor, who was on the Vaurca lore team at the time and now the lead Vaurca lore writer -- though I don't think I can enact this complaint against Desven, the head of Vaurca lore at the time since he's retired -- and Evandorf, the CCIA member who investigated the incident report and presumably made the final judgment. I disagree with the conclusion on two primary bases: I acknowledge that Pleig did assault a Nralakk and C'thur consular officer, which affects the conclusion heavily, but Pleig didn't inflict any actual injuries, nor did she intend to at any point with the attacks she performed. I know this because I intentionally had her punches pulled the entire time the conflict lasted. There's also the IC consideration, with that said, that both parties are Vaurcae with protective exoskeletons, and Loxs'tor'nok's, as a Ta, was even thicker than Pleig's, who is a warrior. Pleig was, to my recollection (this was a year ago), almost, if not completely complaint with the Security department at the time after the conflict occurred, though I recall her not wanting to face Loxs'tor'nok again afterward for what could be considered fair reason. From every point after the round, she was compliant with the West Phoenixport Law Center, as well as the Biesellite delegates who came on the final round to extract her, only showing mild to moderate hostility towards Loxs'tor'nok and the Nralakk delegates out of fear and dislike. With all of that said, my only desire from this complaint is a reversal of her removal from the ship and her requirement to go into hiding on Mictlan. Evidence/logs/etc: The IR post can be read here. I don't personally possess any logs relevant to the IR round or the rounds proceeding it, but hopefully the game ID can elucidate. Additional remarks: I'd spoken to Connor through DMs once before asking them about my options regarding having Pleig return, and they said at the time that any kind of IR appeal would be unlikely, hence my creation of this complaint after some time to consider.

(Who?) Veeqies' Command App
FearTheBlackout replied to veeqies's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Veeqies has already shown herself able to play a variety of different characters with plenty of interesting ways to interact with them. She's also a very affable person out-of-character, so I support her application for those reasons. Long live Miso! -

With the caveat that I can't yet speak on Rookie's ability to lead (but I will leave an edit as soon as I'm able to observe as much), and that this is a Command application, not an Unathi application, I still have to say that I'm very fond of his Unathi Head of Security! We had a few talks throughout a recent round, with me playing as my Hephaestus Liaison, Winding Roads, and he knew what he was doing as far as roleplaying a warrior and a Moghesian nobleman in Command. Very good interactions. +1!
