Not releasing records to the public is more difficult where lawyers are involved. It's cheaper to tell Caps and HoSs to not be racist over the radio than it is to undectectably alter records for court. In addition, NT isn't just in TC, this also applies to it's bases in SA for example, where it doesn't have media influence. Many people on Aurora are also from the SA, and could report it to their media, and law enforcement, if the offender is also from the SA.

JKJudgeX Head Whitelist Application

Made a very good and fun vampire, and assistant needer. +1 -
It was to prevent Captains and HoS's literally saying "Glass Adhomai", "Build a wall to keep out the bugs," and telling the AI to shut up about it. All on public comms. Because that shit is dumb, and you would be extremely fired, so it doesn't make sense for loyalty implanted crew to be doing such. Because that is literally all it prevents. It doesn't stop, for example, your HoS ordering "random" searches on Unathi on blue; or your captain "Losing" paperwork for Vaurca. Hell, you can call them names right to their faces if there is no proof that you did.

Staff Complaint: SierraKomodo, AimlessAnalyst, DO Corps

Why? Why did you do this? It's outside your lane, you are the head of security, not the head of personnel, paperwork is not your field; you do not have the right to call in another head and interrogate them because you saw an ID. In the same way, you can't call in the CMO because they ordered a virus crate; it's within their job description. You aren't the inqusition; you are the internal security department, designed to prevent crimes, not chasing up random paperwork because you OOCly assume the captain is bad; because that is what you just did; you saw someone with a promotion, and stuck your head into another lane because you automatically assumed that that head was incapable of doing their job, and needs your constant oversight. Outside of your lane; assume competence until you see otherwise, you can't go assuming that just because a promotion has been given out, even with no records, that the promoter is immediately bad. Again, following up loose paperwork is not your department. This is better suited to IAA and HoP. What reason do you have to doubt him? As you mentioned previously, both of you are loyalty implanted, he has done nothing to warrant an interrogation, and nothing to warrant you disbelieving his word. I'm going to pull this directly from the first response fax you recieved: ^As in, the Captain should not be brigged, if everything you told us is accurate. You did a bad. You then restate that he was arrested for not filling paperwork; let's refer back to the first fax: So, you were told that un-filled paperwork does not warrant arrest, instead you should sit his ass down, and make him fill it. Seems simple enough? This was directly after you ignored a point-blank message from Central saying that the captain should not have been brigged for this, and instead sent a fax saying that he was exactly brigged for this. You exceeded your own powers here. You ignored a direct order from Central Command. Sierra dealt with this issue, as far as I can tell, in a professional manner, you, however, ignored large chunks of faxes and ignored direct CC commands. Irrelevant to this issue. Irrelevant, and not helping your case that you are not angry. Irrelevant. Rase was correct, correct, and correct, you informed command AFTER the arrest, not before. Ragequitting in the middle of a staff interview, as this is what that was, is a very poor move; it is the same as if you logged while a moderator was trying to talk to you. Instead, you tell them that you are getting angry, and you need a bit to get a clear head. Every staff member will understand this, we have all been there. Failure to carry out an order from Central Command, exceeding official powers, ragequitting, not following arrest procedure for the captain, stepping way out of your lane. None of these are acceptable. Loyalty implanted head of staff, and stepping out of your lane. I heavily disagree, and fully support the action taken by Sierra in this case. You fucked up; live with the consequences, don't go playing the victim. This is exactly what you were told in the first fax; and I refuse to let a member of my team take this amount of anger because you failed to read it fully. 1. HoP was AFK. 2. Access was basic at best. 3. The only heads that matter in terms of civillian promotions are the Captain, and the Head of Personnel; the Head of Security does not get to stick their nose into everyone elses work just because they can. In the same way, the HoP can't go questioning the CMO about happenings in virology. Stay in your lane. No, they have my full support in this scenario. They did this, you ignored it. Irrelevant, not helping your case. I cannot comment on this as it is adminside, and I do not have the logs. In summary, you did not follow a clear direction on the first fax, and it escalated from their due to your sheer bullheadedness. You also did not have any sort of right to interrogate the captain to begin with, as promotions and demotions are not your department; Security should only get involved when they are asked to by IAAs, the HoP, or the Captain. You cannot call in the LOYALTY IMPLANTED captain for an interview based on the fact that you saw an ID, and you are loyalty implanted too. -
Right, so this was the call that was made, by me. If you have issues with it, alert me. If people are using it as an excuse to try and force a "No racism whatsoever" stance, point them to this, so they can read the line beneath this. They can still be racist, it just can't be in a way that can be recorded and verified. They can feel free to call a Vaurca a locust, or a Taj a fleabag; provided it isn't done in such a way that it would be recorded; like radio, or PDA, because they would be fired. IN ADDITION, it doesn't affect non-implanted staff at all, not from an OOC perspective, if a non-implanted head gets referred to DOs for racism, and records are there, they are just as screwed.
-
Yup, buggy as shit.
-
I made the call that LOYALTY IMPLANTED heads can't be calling Vaurca "bugs" or other stuff on general comms, or otherwise making asses of themselves, up to and including telling the AI to shut up telling them off. This is because NT is looking for friendly relations with the Vaurca, and would obviously have passed down memos to that effect. They can be racist in private/ in person; but not over the RECORDED AND DOCUMENTED radio and PDA servers.

Outboarduniform's second Head Whitelist

He isn't a couple carp short , I just make him not give a shit about his job. Then why is he employed? -
Mohammad Aldi is a neurotic bartender or cannibal chef that more often than not ends up in medical, straitjacketted after either trying to eat pun pun, repeatedly giving himself alcohol poisoning, or disposals surfing. I'm going to have to -1.

He means this.

I'd note that Varan Truesight also owns a decent mining business, and is working primarily to have something to do, and to keep an eye on his daughter and nieces because he's a paranoid fuck. He's also an ex-military ship captain who is extremely qualified and experienced at making things run smoothly, he isn't at a sub-par performance, if that matters. So on the matter of characters owning companies, I am guilty there too. Punish him, punish me. ...However, AI technology is not small scale. Not by a longshot, especially: This alarms me. Small companies do NOT have this sort of swing; especially with the super-experimental and advanced AI technology. That shit is billion credit tier. Last note: For the love of god, the only things that get capitalised are names, and the start of sentences; not station, or building, or mind, or rich, or anything like that.

1: Technically...? It's already in the SMESs, someone smarter with powercode then me might have ideas on a full power source. 2: With liberal application of magic, I don't see why not.

This could be a very interesting thing, don't let it die! And yes, tesla-coils could indeed be a thing.

Soooo, basically this? http://aurorastation.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=3173 If you wanted it updated, you could have said, instead of saying it isn't there at all. ¬_¬

To be fair, Inis had fricking neon blue hair until a month or so ago; and she has NEVER been complained about.

There is also black, the pens that are in PDAs at round start are black.

Following a recent event; I am going to make it clear that putting notes and prescriptions into records from command staff is allowable. Anything higher than that, such as forms, or other forms of permission, such as "X is cleared for genetics access" must be run past myself, or Tishina Stalker. This is to prevent shenanigans such as the following: "Inis Truesight is certified in medical, genetics and EVA. Give her access to all each shift. Varan Truesight It's the same as the thing that happened with a few select players, where their captain character would join as assistant, then go "I'm actually a captain, you have to listen to me." As such, Head of Staff stuff does not really relate between rounds, unless authorised. This applies to other player's heads of staff adding significant entries to other people's records at their request.

There are a lot of the taj terrorist stories on the IC newscasters already. You just actually need to read them.

Isn't this beginning to approach a breach of the "goddamnit stop with the sex stuff" rule? I can also confirm that this stuff was said. Inis was there.
