  1. Then we use Bluespace Artillery, which does 99 brute damage to the target, and generally messes up the general area. Ask CoolBC.
  2. I've seen a couple of Vaurca mandible chew things simply because they think it is no longer Illegal, I support this.
  3. Cevalon City Gazette BREAKING NEWS Prime suspect in murder case found murdered. The following article contains graphic language In a case that shocked the city, following the vicious murder of charity hospital manager Caylais Jothun, the last remaining suspect in her death has been found after an anonymous tip to the local police department revealed a horrific scene. The Unathi gangmember, now identified as Nit'har Tihan, was found, along with his partner and adult offspring, in a derelict warehouse on seventeenth street, in the far south district of the city. Early police reports indicate that the four Unathi were killed by an unknown party, which has been suggested to be either a rival gang, or a party acting on behalf of the murdered Mrs Jothun. Initial reports indicate that the four victims lived for some time during their ordeal, and that their bodies were left in such a way as to inflict shock and fear in those that found them, further details are available here. The warehouse has been cordoned off, and the police have yet to issue a statement on the events, nor their relation to Mrs Jothun, or the rising level of crime within our city. Our reporters did interview some of the local residents, however. A Miss Ni'shari G'hanis, (Tajara, 46) had this to say, "She is glad that he is dead, his gang of Unathi thugs have been making life miserrrable forrrr us folk for years; extorrrrtion, violence, rrrrobberrrry. Maybe this will make the gangs go quiet forrrr a bit." A resident Unathi, who did not wish to be named, told us this, "Doctor Jothun treated my mate'sss brain cancer, when no other hosspital would do it, becausssse we couldn't afford the treatment, her charity hossspital helpssss ssso many people around here; it would be awful if it wasss ssshut down becaussse of thisss ssstupid lizard." Mrs Jothun, along with her husband, ran an innovative charity hospital that recieved high acclaim from the IAC for it's efficiency and utility. It is supported entirely by private donations, many of which were facilitated by Mrs Jothun in various media campaigns, with her sudden demise, the future of Starlight Hospital is uncertain.
  4. Illegal detention?
  5. ¬_¬ I spent SIX HOURS on Tuesday sorting out one set of financial statements. It is utter hell. Onwards, I support this, I like your characters that I have seen, I like this character, and it would be interesting if they really started doing things with the accounts database.
  6. I have to admit, this takes balls, my respect for you has grown significantly. I recommend that anyone who is just going to glance over this and ignore it to actually sit and watch that.
  7. excellent player, awesome interaction in every round so far +1
  8. Inis Ceval, British, red hair, grey sniper rifle, green and black armour. Hair is long, or as long as it can physically be. Green eyes, no facial hair.
  9. Getting my hands on a Sentry Pylon with heat cannon. Two large blasts of "go fuck yourself" a turn.
  10. Heyo, Chief Duty Officer here, the regulations person. Aurora is a research station, not a security station. The Head of Security has no right of any kind to interfere with internal research shenanigans unless it could compromise the safety of personnel, or the security of the station. The ingame research paperwork does not need a HoS signature to be valid, for example. If research want to do weapons testing, they can, provided it is in a controlled envoronment, with safety measures, like targets or protohumans in place; and security is out of line if they interfere with that. In regards to charging equipment, that does require the HoS' consent, but it is almost negligent not to do so; given that Research will just print new guns to replace the decharged ones, leading to an overabundance of weaponry that could be stolen. Detectives cannot arrest, doing so is Exceeding Official Powers for them, and Neglect of Duty for the orderer. SSD is not a crime, ingame, it is seen as an unfortunate consequence of space travel. SSDs should have important equipment stored, and themselves put in the dorms for up to 30 minutes, after which they are put into cryosleep. They may return without consequences and reclaim their duties within that time. Freezeguns are not classified as weapons, and are instead classified as tools, there is no basis to refuse charging outside of mass chaos. Freezeguns are there to save lives, and it's generally a good idea for security to request a few incase they need to put down slimes. Also; for the love of god, the only things that get capitalised are names, and words at the start of sentences; not arbitary verbs and adjectives. (You are not alone, I know so many people that do it, and it annoys the crap out of me.) EDIT: brig times are also laid out on the Corporate Regulations page of the wiki.
  11. Synthetic Infiltrators Raid Military Base 01.13.2458 Cevalon City (Akhet, Epsilon Eridani) is under curfew after several individuals now identified as synthetic shells performed a well-planned raid against Alliance Military Base Bulwark just outside of the capital city. Early estimates put the death toll of the brutal attack at twenty three with another thirty two injuries, several in critical condition. The infiltration and bloody assault appears to have been carried out by an estimated five synthetic shells disguised as personnel last seen the previous night. Video feed shows that once within the base the synthetics used their apparent lateness to be alone with high ranking officials who were then assassinated. The attack had the forces within the base in disarray as many of the senior officers were murdered before the alarm could be sounded. Cadet Thomas Benton is tipped to receive a post-mortum Alliance Medal of Valour for sounding the alarm. After they were discovered, the infiltrators seized large stockpiles of newly arrived weaponry from the base's central armoury. Our sources indicate that this could include the newly released 792 Hurricane rail rifles, and experimental Pelurn Exosuits, which were not slated to be rolled out until the end of the year. Following the theft, the gates of the base were blasted open and the terrorists fled in an armoured vehicle before escaping police pursuit on foot. It is believed that they had a facility capable of changing their appearance, allowing them to escape into public spaces without detection. Thus far, the location of the stolen armaments is unknown. It was also reported that the Bulwark's computer and AI systems are now behaving highly erratically and are slated for law resets, raising concerns that the terrorists may have extracted vital core processes from the system. Whether this was to cause more chaos or to improve their own systems with military grade protocols is unknown. The CCPD is working in conjunction with the military to enforce a curfew of 6pm for all non-regulated activities and traffic. A wide search is underway to find the alleged infiltrators before they can escape, as well as to find the bodies of the impersonated servicemen.
  12. Duty Officers perhaps?
  13. I need you FOCUSED! Are you focused yet?!
  14. So it's a Laser rifle, Ion Rifle, Taser, LWAP, Grenade Launcher, and torch all rolled into one. At that point, they might as well have Pulse Destroyers. This seems like you have made the perfect weapon, (which it really sorta is, give it to me now.), but as has been said, Nuke Ops have plenty of dakka. Cr20s are incredibly nasty and easily capable of exterminating whatever errant assistant they are pointed towards. However, having ONE of these, for the ERT commander would be awesome.
  15. S.Y.I.O.N, being based on a psychopath with a "Richard Syrion mode" would not be on station, and I am currently just waiting for some sort of report against it. From what I have seen, all of your characters are aggressive, arrogant, narcissistic and violent. While this isn't necessarily bad, it rings alarm bells when it affects so many characters.

  17. One of my friends has it, and one time it looked like his god damn fingers were nearly falling off; I almost shot him there and then for being one of the Infected.
  18. If you are Orks or Dark Angels, prepare for immediate disintegration.

  20. Gonna come in from left field here. I hold two alien whitelists; and I've played for a long time across several servers. The issues I see with aliens on station do not originate from the races and their abilities themselves, they come from a minority of the players who abuse them, or project themselves as the character in poor ways; much like with a human character, except, it's more noticeable if a Tajara is bad, as they are harder to get hold of; this is an issue that needs to be dealt with against players, not mechanics. I also get the impression that as a fellow server owner yourself, you are trying to push your ideals on a different community, whether intentionally or not, as your personal community on your server supports it; while this one evidently, as shown by Skull and 1138, does not.
  21. shit, got distracted; gimme a day to organise things.
  22. I said IR not complaint. I have nothing to do with player or character complaints; and as I am sure several community members can say, the DO corp is not afraid to stomp on stuff hard.
  23. I would be against this, you have shown a complete inability to show any sort of commitment or serious behaviour that I have seen. I don't think you would work well under supervision, or when given criticism, as well shown in your moderator application where you very quickly devolved to petty insults.
  24. In any case, self testing scientists generally die, or get super-fired. The very few who actually get results, such as local anaesthetic guy, or catheter in heart guy are just that, very few. If Skull has said that self testing is not good, then feel free to submit IRs on such geneticists and they will be dealt with harshly.
