I hate the fact that she has no friends. She clearly needs at least one friend. I think Inis, or it might have been Whisper, is friends with her. Probably Whisper, there are few people who aren't friends with Whisper. As a whole, I like Elena, she acts realistically, when my characters interact with her, she has just the right balance of Authority and warmth towards people; sort of like a teacher, over a boss, which is nice.

CTRL+ALT+ESC opens taskmanager without having to go through the additional menu. And yeah, settign the priority to high should help clientside.

Character Name: Oras Nevros Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Oras Nevros was born on Moghes in the year 2414; in the city of Urastar. Oras was born into the clan Nevros, the son of a labourer, Trasid Nevros, and Yasi Nevros, along with his twin sister, Pasri. Throughout his upbringing, Oras was always treated better than his sister; while he was educated as well as his father’s funds would allow, his sister was kept at home; working with their mother, performing various menial tasks around the clan holdings. Oras learned quickly, his class learning under the tutelage of one of the more acclaimed Unathi professors in the city; assisted by a retired “Human”, who encouraged the students to develop their free-thinking, urging them at every step to push harder and be more enterprising with their projects. At the age of nineteen, Oras graduated from his class with a high level certificate; along with his professor’s verification, he qualified to be taught in an off-world university in experimental physics; however, the catch was that he had to put down a large amount of capital to secure his place; capital which he didn’t have. His father, Trasid, put down the deposit; gifting Oras an amount of money that he never knew his father possessed. It was during his final goodbyes to his family, that he learned where the money had come from; his sister was not present. When Oras pressed the matter; his mother and father admitted that the money for his education had come from his sister’s dowry; during his absence at school, his sister had been put into an arranged marriage with a local tribe Alpha; and had been moved out of the city. Stricken with grief, Oras left his family home immediately, and never returned; heading for the university; determined that his sister’s money would not go to waste, and that he would, once he earned enough, buy her back. At the university, Oras put all his effort into his work, neglecting all else in his drive to be the best. He earned his degrees at the age of thirty two; a degree in hypothetical physics and chemical engineering; putting him in good stead when he applied for a job aboard one of Nanotrasen’s prestigious space stations. What do you like about this character? He is trying to adapt the Unathi honour code to work in a different environment, while trying his hardest to keep his job and not offend anyone important; he would likely be very confused and conflicted about a female Head giving him instructions, as he has been brought up with women being treated as property, even though he doesn’t agree with that, seeing them treated as equals will undoubtedly confuse him. Once the initial burst of radiation has cleared, Acetes sweeps towards the detonation zone, it's distortion field spread wide, searching for any anomalous trajectories amongst the debris.

Breaking News! The United Kingdom of Great Britain has, just today, declared it's intention to join the I.S.C.C, in the hope of finding a world for all of humanity to call home; they have dedicated large portions of their infrastructure to developing experimental technology for spacecraft; no details yet; but apparently they are "Evaluating possible avenues of research."

Aesen taps the com again, "Our Mass-Cancellers aren't rated for interstellar travel.... Do the colonies have any defence weapons? We might be able to rally a militia to help you out."

The Acetes shudders as more bio-ships enter the system, Aesen, we have incoming, many of them . Aesen cursed loudly, Acetes was badly damaged from the last confrontation, and it had yet to effect any meaningful repairs. She tapped the radio console, "We have incoming! Reread my comments. What if you're just randomly getting paperwork forced on you by an asshole superior? When I was playing as Lockie, several times Vittorio assigned my character to take a complete inventory of the medbay. Now it was not specified whether they meant the entire medbay or simply the storage room, but this was twice, and this was without anyone trying to steal anything. And he kept bothering me, repeatedly, about filling out a form, even after someone attempted to murder my character. That is one of the evilest ways to use paperwork, +1 The only thing I can think of off hand to help with that is tablets, or biotech huds like you see in several book series; that allow you to mentally deal with things; like bank accounts, vehicles, paperwork, locks. Having more estoric tech would be fun; weird and wonderful things to catch people's interest, but first ideas need to be drawn up, mechanics figured out, then posted on the suggestions to see what the community thinks; I wouldn't mind gene-tech, or nanotech, they would be interesting; as would the RP potential of Transhumans who think that normal humans are lesser, or simply misguided.

My interactions with 1138 have all been positive, I haven't seen any incidents of powergaming, recently or otherwise, so I can't comment on those. My interactions with 1138 +1

I have primarily played on Apollo, Aurora and Hypatia; I started out as Gollee Truesight, Shaft Miner, along with Eragong as Calvyn Joran. We server hopped between Apollo and Hypatia for a while, Eragong got bored after he got a month ban from Hypati. Inis, Gollee's sister, began showing up in security; where Tool thought she was a griefer. My other original starter character was Valstann Staghelm, an angry engineer. I have only been banned once, a dayban from Apollo that was entirely wrong (In my opinion). I only play on Aurora now, or Alium, when Aurora is down; as it isn't actually that bad. Inis and Gollee originated as Warcraft characters, and the characters that sprang up around them, Whisper, Varan etc, have been translated back to WoW. I have exstensive retconned backstories of Gollee and Inis if people want to laugh at them.
