BYOND Key: Teddybehr Staff BYOND Key: abigbear Game ID: n/a Reason for complaint: This ruling was an OOC response to an IC action. If this is the quality we would like to continue upholding for CCIA then I do not think the role benefits the server. Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: I am not contesting that there were consequences, I am just contesting that such broad consequences for a mean letter is ridiculous, particularly for a character with a near spotless record and in a position of command. I had thought CCIA cause more trouble than they fix for a long time, but recently came off that. I am now realizing that is not the case. I'd also like to say the original verdict for the IR absolutely warrants such a response. It is even more ridiculous than the punishment placed onto Karl.

Appealing Personnel: Karl Voigt Specific Incident: Action taken as a result: Reprimand to myself, a codifying that personnel are allowed to drink alcohol regardless of risk to safety or procedure. Action contested: " Personnel who become intoxicated to the point of being unable to fulfill their duty, such as medical personnel or security, can be charged with Hooliganism (i105) or Neglect of Duty (i206) depending on the nature of their behavior. This does not prevent them from being served alcohol at all; however, injunctions can be delivered to personnel who abuse alcohol on duty or become belligerent because of intoxication. The SCCV Horizon is granted a bar stocked with alcoholic drinks for crew morale and to help cover operational costs associated with maintaining the ship. It is a privilege, not a right, to have access to the ship's bar; however, crew members who have not abused the drinks provided should have full ability to enjoy this amenity at their leisure and expense. We hope you comply with upholding this ruling." Reasoning for contest: This is an irresponsibly incompetent ruling. As numerous studies for hundreds of years have proven, any amount of alcohol incapacitates a person to some degree. I understand that the person who wrote this ruling may be a raging alcoholic, but they should not utilize the SCCV Horizon to justify their having a little sip before clocking in. If alcohol is present within the bloodstream it WILL present itself in some form of inebriation, even if not immediately obvious to yourself or others. There is LITERALLY NEVER a situation by which someone working and being paid for their time should be utilizing a judgement altering depressant like alcohol, as it is documented to severely impact performance. The cost of running and staffing the bar is far more than any revenue it brings in, it is purely a rest and relaxation fixture. I understand that the writer of the note above may have literally zero idea about the millions of credits it takes to keep large vessels running, but I can surely hope whoever is reviewing this case understands that the few thousand credits a month obtained from the bar do not pose a dent to the running costs of the Horizon, and that is leaving alone the costs of having a bar onboard (Security incidents, lost productivity due to even low level drunkeness, etc). I write this appeal because it is clear to me that every single check and balance was missed here, and someone needs to step in and review the personnel involved with this incident. The incompetence displayed here is unacceptable for SCC personnel. I would also like to note that we are under no obligation to serve anyone. If they are armed they should not be served alcohol. Alcohol is known to cause violent tendencies, if someone is armed that is not a good mix. Again, I cannot believe this was a seriously worded communique to myself. Additional notes:

The new command remap is great, but the Bridge and XO office lost their filing cabinets. Now where can I put all of my useless paperwork? Please give them back.

Move the sprint key from the spacebar to the shift key

Move the sprint key from the spacebar to the shift key
restricted replied to restricted's topic in Archive
From my experience with it on other servers it did mean that if you examine on the move you'd briefly sprint while going for the examine, which is a bit annoying. But overall I like my spacebar for macros, having it be reserved for sprint annoys me ever so slightly. -
Move the sprint key from the spacebar to the shift key

Just found it out today myself, but OOC chatter indicated this is very recent -
We don't need to be special, just be like every other game and put it on shift, please.

Reporting Personnel: Karl Voigt Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Executive Officer Game ID: crp-aUbX Personnel Involved: Tsi Jho, Scientist (Offender) Priya Patil, Security Officer (Witness) Ronald Monday, Security Officer (Witness/Victim) Secondary Witnesses: N/A Time of Incident: 0650 for the assault on myself, continually throughout the shift for their general antics. Real Time: 1600 JST Location of Incident: The entirety of the Horizon, Outside of the Bridge for the assault Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [x] - Neglect of Duty [x] - Harassment [x] - Assault [x] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. They were charged accordingly, and ultimately suspended for doing so. After their suspension they used their psionic powers to assault me in the hallways, causing a large gash on my head. I am requesting they be dismissed from employment for their lack of professionalism and violent nature. Earlier I had made jokes about being a shell, but regardless of if they believed me to be a shell or not assault upon a head of staff is completely unjustified. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? I was the only head of staff. Actions taken: They were detained and suspended. Reporting Personnel: Kaxto Szs'ska Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Warden Game ID: crp-avAB Personnel Involved: Deshan Baral, Security Officer (Offender) Suvek Tokash, Head of Security (Reported To/Witness) Secondary Witnesses: N/A Time of Incident: 1350 JST Real Time: 1350 JST 12/23/2023 Location of Incident: Brig Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [x] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [x] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Translated from Sinta'Azaziba automatically by Idristranslateā¢ and checked for accuracy by a REAL AI! Officer Baral left their jacket on the floor of the Brig while collecting gear for an exercise, as well as their plate carrier and helmet. I collected these things and stored them in my office after the completion of the event, in order to ensure they were not stolen and also to ensure sensitive items such as body armor are not just sitting around unsecured. There were other items left around as well. I informed the entire Security team that I was holding items in my office, and they could expect them back after the Armory de-issue, as I needed to supervise the Armory while the doors were open. Instead of waiting for the given time Officer Baral instead elected to demand their jacket back, not only threatening charges but frankly stating he was going to charge me for taking the item. I refused, and eventually got the order to close the Armory from the HoS. During this time Baral was petitioning the HoS for my arrest. I ignored them and told them they needed to move, as they were blocking the Armory doors. They did not move, so I gently moved them out of the way of the doors before closing them. After this I moved to my office and moved the items I was storing to the counter for distribution. Baral continued with threats of arrest and charges. I told them that I could have just tossed it, as they left it on the floor like trash. They threatened me with further charges should I do so. I then brought up the matter of them leaving their armor unattended in plain view, in the Security lobby. They said this was fine, that leaving armor where anyone can access it is just what they intended. Then later changed their story that it was stored at the desk, but referred to the desk as the lobby. I am requesting they be given remedial training in order to correct these deficiencies, in order to have a more cohesive and better functioning Security team. Submitted Evidence: N/A Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [x] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? Suvek Tokah, Head of Security Actions taken: None, they were finishing with the after action for the boarding exercise (Round was ending) Additional Notes:

Feedback for Command Remap (Not bridge).
restricted replied to ReadThisNamePlz's topic in Completed Projects
I think incorporating the bridge bar into the captain's office would be a nice touch. It just being open and available is a bit weird, then convert the old space into a break room type deal, sans alcohol. Also the XO office should be bigger. For reasons. The open space in the middle could be made into a small cafe/break room or something, because naturally command absolutely must have two break rooms. On further thought the Captain is an important person tm, that open space would be perfect as a waiting room -
I'll have more thoughts later, but on the simplest of levels usually I can tell a cartridge is a rifle cartridge because the number is bigger.

I like this a lot! My only point of contention is Paris is stinky and in terms of the broader scope of humanity not very historical. Something around the fertile crescent would be more reflective of the cradle of humanity/civilization, or in Africa where it is theorized humanity first evolved from monke would be more my speed, and also make this less eurocentric.
