BYOND Key: Hivefleetchicken Player Byond Key: YautjaHunter Staff involved: None, the person left, so admins couldn't really PM them. Reason for complaint: Rude behavior in LOOC from IC issues, and an absolutely ridiculous mary sue character. Approximate Date/Time: 7:30pm PST, 9/4/2015 I'll be pretty quick about the summary part. I joined a round as a geneticist, and on my way towards medical I happened to pass the bar. Inside was an assistant named Nisanci Kurt. She was attacking the chef, Rawhide, while security was on the scene, trying to break the fight up. I thought they could have used a bit more force, since wherever Rawhide tried to run, Nisanci would chase and push at him. So, I finally ran in and slammed Nisanci onto a table, and held her there. I ordered security to go ahead and cuff her already, and they did, before the player of Nisanci, YautjaHunter, stated, "LOOC: YautjaHunter: tfw the table grab is a fag move". Nisanci then tried to resist arrest and take off from the bar, before an officer and myself were able to pull her into our grip. Right after, YautjaHunter simply said, "LOOC: YautjaHunter: Fuck off, kill yourself." and left immediately after. I don't know what sparked the fight, but I can vouch for Rawhide's side due to the fact that no matter how much Rawhide tried to stay behind security and stop the fight, Yautja would just chase them and punch/push them. It was then that I discovered their flavour text, and, my God, I'm disgusted. This woman walks around with an attitude composed entirely of sass (cancerous already), she has her jumpsuit down to her belly button, where she has two tits just hanging out with no bra on, and then it turns out she's... 'Ex-special forces?' I don't know if I want the person banned, but their LOOC behavior was ludicrous, their character was cancerous, and I'd just like to keep a warning of how ridiculous this character is somewhere on these forums.

I'd say to simulate it in real time and just post when you feel like it, since a single missed deadline for a month/week update might throw you and the stability of the game off a bit. -
[Resolved] Ban Request: TechnoKat
hivefleetchicken replied to Jboy2000000's topic in Ban Requests Archive
To be blunt, can I ask why this ban request even existed in the first place? I don't see a real reason. To me, it sounds like a valid traitor put themselves on the radar of another traitor's possible threats, leading said worried traitor to want to remove said threat, which then turned into a fight to the death, and the initiating traitor prevailed. ...So, what's the deal? Was there not enough 'RP' before one of you died? Let's look at this whole shebang with an analogy, based on what I've heard happened from both parties. Jboy, imagine you're standing in a close-to-empty mall, preparing to rob some unsuspecting person. You see a crazy man walk over to a lady across the building from you, and viciously gut them without relent. What do you do? Call security? Run away? Pretend like you saw nothing? Of course not! You throw a rock at him to get his attention and shout, "GEE, YOU SURE DO LIKE STABBING PEOPLE, HEHEA ," and when he runs up and stabs you too like the crazy person he is, you get mad? Sure, you got stabbed, but you put yourself on his radar. You /forced/ your way into his path, let him acknowledge you as a threat, and then waited on the sidelines like nothing had happened. Like hell he /wasn't/ going to hunt down this person who has: A. Seen too much, B. Is not only a threat to call security but is a threat themselves with their antag items C. Is readily waiting right there for Techno to conveniently ambush and kill And, to be fair, maybe Techno could have spiced it up. But only had the conditions been more lenient. With an ERT about and Ana Issek taking control of security, it seemed like this round had gone full Hackie-Mhan-plays-five-nuke-op-wizards-event. There's a point at which RP can no longer happen to its fullest because if you stay still to type a *me for more than ten seconds, you will get left behind, killed, or trapped by firelocks, and it seems like TechnoKat felt he was in that situation. Whether or not his judgement to see the round as that was false or not, I can't say, but it seems like the round was adequate to those standards, from what you two described of it. So what you died, it's just a game, you two!It really breaks my heart to see you guys bickering over a single death, and it makes me very slightly suspicious that maybe Jboy is just mad because he didn't get to win as a traitor. But that could just be my time on Archangel speaking. So, in total, suck it up, guys. It's one death, it wasn't even canon, and the dead person even got cloned, because one of you was nice and faithful enough to let the other back into the round. -
all the chicks are going crazy around me man Gank eternal, ave imperator

Maybe I should start making decisions as an antag and get hella famous too

It's up to Scopes, and that's pretty much that. If it is a thing, the lore team would probably be happy to help. But if Scopes says it ain't, then we bury these space bugs.
-
N e w a l i u m s o r r i o t In all seriousness, I think dedicating Sue and Scopes (two people) to keeping their own alien project updated from now on just seems like a ridiculously tedious effort, while we can just have a team (A:CM's staff) that's dedicated to coding open source working aliens. And I don't know how finished Sue is with her aliens, but we already have working (and possibly better) aliens finished and accessible right here! Why don't we just paste them in and not have to wait any longer for any one person to code them?

That guy sounds like a total sarcoFAG, am I right?

You were saying, pleb?

What other themes do you like to roleplay?
hivefleetchicken replied to Baka's topic in Off Topic Discussion
All these interesting places and different ideas just make me wish we had an XCOM station. It would be underground, with like, asteroid-ore-rocks all around it in every direction, and the traitors would be alium sympathizers from Advent/Exalt (based on whichever canon people wanted to follow). Fuck, I want it so bad. -
It's official. I have the best signature here.

Who is fucking hyped? Who is FUCKING HYPED!? And who could have come up with the idea that we actually lost at the first game? That shit is so sick! FUUUUCK! I'm more hyped for this game than anything else this year, even Total War: Warhammer and Fallout 4.

Ckey/BYOND Username: Hivefleetchicken Position Being Applied For: Lore Developer/Wiki Menial. Past Experiences/Knowledge: I don't really know how to answer this question, but I'll give it my best. For past experiences, I'm not a published writer, but I do know my shit on an unofficially extensive level, either on Aurora, Warhammer, or anything else that catches my eye for more than thirty minutes. I tend to read tons of books on stuff that I'm barely into just to absorb all the fluff and ideas. Examples of Past Work: I've never done any official work for anyone for lore, so I can't really put any 'WORK', work here. Sorry. I am a master at impressing Jackboot with shitty lore ideas in steam chat, though. Preferred Mode of Communication: I reply to any and all steam messages pretty damn quickly (usually 15-30 minutes at maximum for a reply), and equally fast at replying to Skype messages (but only on the weekends). Additional Comments: This is a short application, aye. (EDIT: I want to work on nothing but genital physiology for the alien races from now on, thank you very much.) (EDIT EDIT: ***Jokes***)

The thing is, those examples are Nationalities. I don't think we'd refer to ourselves from Earth as Earthlings if we had more than one planet to refer to, and I've never heard a human from Earth in ss13 call themselves an Earthling. I think, instead, they'd refer to themselves by their nationality (i.e. Biesel = Biesellian) or by race, which are things I myself am interested in finding out.

Might as well roll with it.

Ehhh, there's a difference between genuine concern and posting stuff that's getting handled in a place that doesn't need to hear about it just to bait another one of these bickering threads we're plagued with at the moment.

Why do people like Uneth/Tajarra so much? And furthermore, Why is it that an Unathi/Tajaran/SSL that's barely good at talking trash and takes things way too far with their metagrudges and cliques is considered robust, badass and cool? Why is it that with this mentality, an average professional heterosexual - or a professional homosexual, as long as they're professional - human that can talk trash well and back it up even better is considered a whiny bitch 'cause they're too cruel and sadistic for defending themselves when the big Unathi player from the department down the block starts stepping on their toes? Why does seemingly everyone suddenly agree at that point, from then on, no one will include that character as a result and instantly exclude and reject them from most RP? Every human character I've played, I've been called some derogative term by an Unathi or Tajaran character, and that was just to my face. I have no clue how many times one of my characters has been the subject of interspecies jeering in another language that my character can't understand. Why do we make so many of our characters with ANY intention in mind of them being mean at all to anyone?
