Nikolai The Beast - Forced Round End, Faked Sing Release
Blue replied to a topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Well that's complete bull. Ending a round just because you didn't get a vote...ICly makes no sense. You would've evacuate the station and leave it at the hands of some thugs that just showed up and just took over a part of the asteroid. You'd get fired so hard. -
Nikolai The Beast - Forced Round End, Faked Sing Release

Wait a minute, the whole singularity release was fake? -
I'm just gonna say. All you need to make a wizard lose is a gun. Any kind of gun. Just shoot them anywhere. Legs, arms, chest, head, doesn't matter. If they don't die, they will die unless they seek treatment. Internal bleeding, infections, live shrapnel in your body, etc. While in medical's care, it would be easy to disrobe him without someone screaming "META!", as it would be common for surgeons to disrobe patients and for security to dress him in orange before taking him in. Even if the wizard survives, his round is over. That is all.

Why not ask engineers like Jar'eeka to fix?

I've seen this idea in place and I think it's wonderful. However, it's clearly meant for servers with consistently high populations. While Aurora can get pretty high at peak times, dead hour hits hard. I fear we're going to have antag rounds where the lings or traitors are running around and only 1 officer is chasing them because everyone else is a department guard.
-
Do we have enough sec players on "mid tide" to fill the roles of department guards AND regular sec officer, though?

All they gotta do is change the flavor text to something like "Her face is clean and smooth, no scars, blackheads, or pimples to be seen." I'd only allow the butt comment as a pure gag. (We've had gag flavortexts. A certain somebody smells like almonds...) As for the records, I don't really see anything inherently wrong with liberal use of "REDACTED". Maybe you should find out why the character is like that?

I'm not a good drawer :c

The shuttle landed gradually on the platform, blowing clouds of sand out of it's way as it did so. The passengers within felt the inertia of the docking, followed by the assuring bell. At once, everyone's belts automatically came undone, freeing the travelers from their seats. A roaring noise protruded from the intercoms, urging to patrons to clean up their areas, return any borrowed equipment to the attendants, to exit in a single file orderly fashion, and lastly, to thank them for choosing Moghes Space. Hazeri planted his cane on the tiling beneath him, using to hoist himself up. Clad in robes, he covered his scaly head with the hood as he stood his place in the line. Brutish Unathi, Tajaran salesmen, and even a few human tourists all made up the diverse populace. He flashed his passport briefly to the man at the exit and was greeted by the scalding weather. A smile grew to his face, as he stretched his limbs and tail out, basking in the glorious warmth he had long since forgotten. Hazeri adjusted his dark shades around his surroundings. Adobe buildings lined up far around the block, with blacksmiths and craftsmen actively working out in the sun, perfecting their creations. People were crowded around the local Bazaar, where a tall black Unathi in a fancy suit proudly displayed a colorful, neon silk robe, to which the people began to shower him in Thalers. The old Unathi walked down the line and found a brewery, run by a short, pale green scaled female. He smiled at her, and she nervously did the same. Salutations... she hissed at him with anxiety in her tone. M'shara's Brewery welcomes you...how may I serve you? Hazeri pondered for a moment. Moghian Hotbrew, please. The woman nodded, scurrying back to the kitchen. The old man leaned on his cane as he took in the sights of his old homeworld. Such a diversity could be found in a trade city, but he knew that he would find difficulties anywhere outside of his original regions. Thoughts ran through his mind of his early life. His family, his clan. The pain, the misery, the turmoil... Here you are, honorable one. The lady called out, placing a steaming mug of a thick green liquid on the counter. Hazeri snapped to attention before turning around to face her. Ah, wonderful! He proceeded to give her a polite bow, to which she hesitantly returned. N-next! Hazeri walked himself to the outdoor tables and took a sip of his liquid. He paused. He took another moderate sip, tasting carefully. Bah... He thought to himself, abandoning the mug on the table. Inauthentic commercial cup of... Shrugging it off, Hazeri took pace towards near the end of the settlement. A barn of sorts was placed away from the rest of the village, run by a lonely farmer. They locked eyes and bowed immediately. Greetings. Hazeri introduced. Would you happen to have any mounts for sale? The farmer scratched his head. Hrm...Well, I don't know. I really n- He was interrupted by the screaming of a scale-cow, being cut from it's shackles by an Unathi masked in dark robes. Hey! The farmer called out to him, charging towards the robber. All he had to do was extend his energy sword towards his direction, and the farmer came to a halt. Hazeri tilted his head, slowly walking towards him. Hrmm...What is all this noise, then? The eyes of the robber squinted as he came to point his weapon at Hazeri. Get back, old dust. Neither you, the man, nor his flock gets hurt. Hazeri simply shook his head at the robber's threats. Have you no respect for your elders? He questioned. I have more respect for the coin. He replied. Hazeri shrugged, turning around. If that's the way you feel, then you have it all wrong. He cleared his throat, setting his cane down in the sands as he adjusted his robes. Old age does not make me frail. With that, Hazeri flipped around and extended his claws towards the robber. A barrage of sparks emitted from his sleeves, which caused the robber to stumble backwards, and drop his weapon. Hazeri flicked his wrist, drawing a needle. Just as the robber came to his senses, Hazeri lunged at him like a Threshbeast and punctured him with the syringe. The robber let out a grunt of pain, looking down at the Unathi before him. The old man smirked slightly. And we are the last ones you should underestimate. Hazeri withdrew his needle and gave the robber a gentle push, causing him to fall backwards. As he lay there, he convulsed and twitched whatever muscles he could while Hazeri dusted himself off, retrieving his trusty cane. He turned to look at the astonished farmer. Take it. No charge. Hazeri nodded, bowed once more, and mounted the scale-cattle. The farmer waved him as the law enforcement came their way. Hazeri rode off into the sands, the familiar sands, to a destination certain, yet unknown.

I think a better alternative would be to increase the cooldown for magic missile. The whole point of the wizard's teleporting powers is to be elusive. If the wizard spams powers with security around and they get killed because of it, they can complain and cry all the want. Won't do anything. Totally their fault for forcing sec's hand.

Maybe adding some way to dye the colour's of the chemical? Thats not to far fetched. Oh! You could make the majority of it painkillers, and then put a little bit of sleep toxin in there. That would work!
-
They could always make it into whatever pills they want.
-
I'm in favor of colors! But, buffing beakers and stuff might be a little unnecessary...Would give combat-chemists a bit more power, and I play one.

[Implemented] Feedback Thread For "New" Unathi Lore

Also, the whole one-Unathi dictator being overthrown in a revolution with Sol Alliance interests in having him down...isn't that a little reminiscent of Tajara lore? -

And don't bleep out my bleeping swear words >:c -
Well, I don't know if this point has been brought up yet (lots of posts), but I'm gonna bring it up anyways. An office tasing you 5 times and getting away with it is a problem. Yes, there's no evidence of it after you're back up. But. There's no damage after that, either. With ballistics, if an officer shoots you 5 times, there's evidence that they're abusive, but there's physical damage on the player. Honestly, I'd rather be stunned and passed out for 20 seconds than dragged into medbay. Plus, what about antags? Wizards? Pew pew pew, you're wounded beyond natural healing, gg no re. Well, maybe it would be a good counter for the EI NATH gankers, but who knows. Just concerns of mine.

[Implemented] Feedback Thread For "New" Unathi Lore

Not bad. Two points though. The years. Humans and Unathi have known each other for only 25ish years? I thought it was established that it was like, 40 or something. You should consider pushing it back for people that player elderly Unathi that "remember the day" and such *cough cough* Second. Traitor Lords. You can come up with a better name than that. Please. -
Upon testing this, holding it in your hand and right clicking can rename the whole bottle. Yep, I guess this thread can be binned.

I really loved the way Osiris was protective of his master, even though he was just a pAI, like a little dog barking when someone upsets their master. Their personality was solid, and they were very good at interacting with others, not just Hazeri. Player has shown ability and understanding of roleplaying and they get a +1 from me.

There are two chemists and they are both making pills and such. A good chemist labels everything they make accurately, and they are good chemists. Now, it gets a bit inconvenient when we have to wait on each other to type out what we want, label the bottle, turn the label off, hand it off to the other guy, wait for him to label his stuff while you have other stuff ready to be labeled...don't you think it would be a little smoother if chemistry had two hand labels?
