Yeah! Let's be the scourge of atmos techs everywhere! don't forget to /me coughs. every 5 minutes. And don't speak that accursed name!

It would just be a nice little feature to have. "Holy shit 26 people died from that bomb in medbay?" As for ganking, I don't really think it would. It would be for ALL deaths, regardless of cause.

After one particularly bloody round with a traitor AI, it occurred to me that we don't really know how brutal the antagonists are, besides from the threats we here, the declarations of murder, etc. We don't have a physical record tracking of that. At the end of the round, it would be nice if it said "X out of Y people died!". I'm no coder, but I'm sure Meow Skull Scopes someone could figure out how to do it. It would make it easier to measure the true damage done by an antagonist. credit to Kiento for the idea. roy twatt

Scrolling through the web, you come across a series of ads. One of them features a beaker producing a cloud of smoke with the subject: "Lab Partner Wanted". Curious, you click on it and it takes you to a page on the NanoTrasen public boards. Greetings, viewer. I am an experienced chemist and biochemist researcher on a humanitarian message around the galaxy. I can be found on multiple stations, research and civilian. Currently, I am more heavily focused on the "NSS Aurora". Anyone employed on the station looking for work (Anyone, really, so long as you meet the qualifications, regardless of occupation) can find service by assisting me in the lab. About me: My name is Hazeri Saakhat (Many wish to call me "Haz", and I do not oppose). I am an elderly Unathi originating from Moghes. Since the age of about 20, I have been teaching myself chemistry. Along the way, I learned other things, and earned the title of "Shaman" for my clan. I have roughly two decades of experience working on research stations and meeting wonderful people of all species and stories. What do I need: I need someone to help me as a lab assistant. In my old age, I often forget things that would normally be hard-wired into my brain. My lab can sometimes be a mess of bottles and pills, waiting for some unfortunate janitor to clean up. It is requested that my lab assistant help by: Organizing my concoctions, creations, and research notes for me. Notify me whenever I am needed or requested, akin to a secretary (My hearing is rather poor these days) Help me up when one of my experiments inevitably knocks me off my feet. Laugh at my jokes and pretend that I'm funny. Pitch ideas for projects Remind me what I'm doing when I enter a room and then forget what I wanted Pull pranks on people from time to time Pranks are not productive! Experience with science and/or chemistry is preferred, but not necessarily required. An open mind is definitely non-negotiable however. I have a pretty concentrated work block, so I can be found working during most hours. As far as payment is concerned, I offer: Intricate knowledge of chemistry, and the willingness to teach someone all that I know I will either buy or brew you tea Complimentary cigarettes, if you are a smoker A mutual system where keep each other company in this lonely, wide void of depressing nothingness we call 'space' My oh-so-spiritual wisdom to bestow upon thee I don't have much in the way of money. But if what I listed above is not enough, we can discuss payment for the above services. There may be multiple assistants, depending on how many people take interest in this and who they are. Below is my PDA number. Contact me and we will arrange a sit-down where we will drink tea and talk about our partnership. Thank you. Shaman of Clan Saakhet, "Haz"

It's not about going to the shuttle, it's not about getting out of the station (Although those are usually given and definitely preferred). It's about ending a crap round that's going nowhere and start with a new opportunity to do something enjoyable.

Promised I'd support this. Unathi are the best. We need more Unathi. Security needs a bit more honor in their dealing of situations, and I feel that an Unathi personality would best achieve this. Prospect, while I have not had much interaction with them, I have not had any bad instances with them at all. Surely they are capable enough to pass the buffer that is the whitelist.

Disclaimer: I'm shit at making people feel better. Hey man, it's alright to have one of "those days". You don't have to let them feels get to you, and deserve to be happy with all the responsibilities you shrug off with "that's okay". Plus, personally, I wouldn't see being "fired" (you're not even being paid) from mod as that bad. It's a mixed blessing, really. If I re-applied for moderator these days, I'd only get like what, a tenth of the roleplay out of it? And a fucking headache every time I log in? Yeah, no thanks. Maybe Skull helped you out.

I like how the only countries that have the same name as they do now are Madagascar and the UAE.

There's only one solution. SCIENCE! TEST THIS!

I love Junior. You basically took Imraj, removed the "I'm old and grumpy" factor and replaced it with a "3edgy6u" factor, with some "xXx360N0Sc0p3xXx" sprinkled in.

IC issue. The way code red is right now is fine. "Because nothing has blown up in 40 minutes" is no excuse, if there isn't confirmation that the threat was dealt with, then there is no way the code is going to be lowered. I disagree. The round lasting far longer than most anyone wants it to just because one or two people are stubborn, or are incapacitated and literally cannot lower the code to blue or green. The presence of a threat or confirmation of a threat no longer existing shouldn't matter. Had enough of the nuke ops shit? Are you just dying for extended? Is it just boring now? A little vote, which is an OOC way to end the round versus the IC way of emergency shuttle, would not hurt anyone. Like I said. If it's really something engaging for the crew, instead of just a handful of ops and a couple redshirts, the majority will vote to continue.

Time for me to get involved with this dead thread. Hazeri Saakhat. Go cut him up.

Well that's more honorable then. He has my full support.

I do not know what will happen when I will get banned again. I honestly do not wish to get banned from this server again, and I will keep trying to keep my emotions at bay, but if that will happen? Well, then I will pretty much say that I fucked up. I will probably peek at your server again if I will get a new computer, and that is not likely since I got a brand new computer two months ago, and my older box was at least five years old before I had to change it. So yes, I can say that you would have to worry about it, but I can also safely say that you will have to wait a few years for that to happen. Usually I don't mean trouble while evading, but this time I got banned because I felt guilty from evading. It was just terrible, and I vented out to Skull132 about it before he banned me. That is what I have to say, and I am being honest. That's... not exactly assuring, but I will definitely give you honesty points. A lot of people say they can control their emotions well, but on Aurora alone, I know that they often overestimate themselves. Now, I know "a few years" is a long time, but I'd appreciate not having a ticking clock, if you know what I'm saying. If you truly believe that you can control your emotions, could you promise to never every multikey again? Instead, be patient and take the appeal system, or move on with your time?

It's really inconvenient when you're in the middle of an actiony, fast-paced round, and suddenly it's code red. Antags fade away into thin air. Security runs around, but there's ultimately no threat. It takes a while for any heads to register this and actually lower the code to blue or whatever. Sometimes the heads are like "NO CODE BLUE THERE MIIIGHT BE SOMETHING EVEN THOUGH NOTHING HAS BLOWN UP IN 40 MINUTES", and sometimes the heads are even SSD or killed. The problem with this, is that it leaves us in code red for a prolonged period of time. The problem with code red, is that no matter how stale the round deteriorates, You can't vote for a fucking shuttle. I understand. If it's code red, something is probably going down. But regardless, things go down often. Sometimes those things aren't interesting. Sometimes the round is stale while these uninteresting things are going down. If what IS happening IS interesting, then surely the majority of the players agree, and will vote to continue the round? If it is not interesting, then time for a new round. It's honestly just annoying when the metaphorical (and sometimes literal) fire's died out and you have to pester the heads of staff to actually lower the code before you can get on to a fresh start on a fresh new round.

You don't seem like a bad guy. Maybe a little troublesome, though. Since you've had a history of going off and getting a ban, and trying to circumvent that ban (Like Skull said, 5-10 keys? Really?), I gotta ask, and pardon me if someone else asked this and I didn't catch it, but what happens if you slip up again? What happens if you get banned again, for whatever scenario that might come up. Will the staff have to worry about any more accounts coming in?

BYOND Key: BlueSp34r Character name: Hazeri Saakhat Item name: Hazeri's Pipe Hazeri's Cane Why is your character carrying said item to work? Because Hazeri enjoys a good smoke when he's not busy working. He's also homesick away from Moghes, and made something to remind him of his planet. Because Hazeri is old, and needs assistance when walking long distances from RnD to cargo. Also, see above about Moghes. Item function(s): Like a corncob pipe Like a cane Item description: A worn, smoking pipe. This one has little leaves sticking out from it and is made of a rare wood, found only in Moghes. An old warped cane with a flat bottom. It appears very leafy and crafted from Moghian wood. Item appearance: Guys I actually have sprites this time! Be proud of me! https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B-Sm7fKgR5kIZDBOMTNnMl9RR2c&usp=sharing Additional comments: I probably messed up with the sprites, but I am technological savage and do not know how to do these fancy thingymajibingies like you civilized people. But that's okay! Because I'm pretty sure you devs can fix whatever I fucked, because you are all smart, talented, athletic, hygenic, proud, amazing, beautiful, flamboyant, promiscuous, seductive people who can fix whatever problems Bluey makes.

Corporate regs: They server their purpose. Just botch "Insulting an officer" and you're good. Ideal officer: Sets out warnings for minor crimes, asks the person to detest and comply before arresting them, uses tools of arrest in the right order (flash > baton > taser (you can put pepperspray between flash and baton, but only if you're a scrub who thinks that's actually useful for anything)), doesn't put the highest sentence possible because they can, doesn't abuse the "Insulting an officer" law, doesn't abuse ANY loopholes in the law to spite people. The law is not your personal weapon to use on people for the wrong reasons. Pardon: While it's not allowed ICly, I think it should be. The HoS should be allowed to give out pardons at their discretion, if they believe the individual will not commit any more crimes (I'd suggest loyalty implanting the criminal, but I still think those things are OP). Should not be abused. Proper escalation of force: Do they have a weapon? If yes, get one out. If not, proceed with caution. Do they have an aggressive nature? If yes, have a weapon handy. If not, proceed. Are they violent? If yes, take them down, if not, proceed. Are they threatening you? If yes, call for backup. If not, proceed to arrest. Chain of command: I'm gonna but in to what Delta said (ironylol) and point out that the captain should NOT, NEVER EVER EVER but in to security affairs if there's an active HoS involved. He's more of a head of heads, let the actual head of the department handle it. A captain that acts like a HoS just because "his word is supreme" or bullshit like that is a terrible condom.

Sunglasses are available in the custom item loadout as far as I'm aware (unless they changed that too...) They're just glasses, not contraband. Anyways, do we have cigarettes and lighters in loadouts yet? Those would be nice.
-
Huh. Back then, it used to just be a saw and a scalpel. Since when did they change that...
-
my manlyness. where did it go.

By that logic, why have any surgical tools? Or even an operating table? You can ask to use medical's, since you aren't using them every shift. It just makes no sense to only give some of the tools required, when they are only used for one task. You only have a scalpel and a saw because it is presumed that the brains you are extracting are coming from crew that were already deceased. Hence why the roboticist has access to the morgue. At the very most, I'd let them have a soporific bottle and a syringe. But no more than that.

I think the idea is great for character development. However, allow players to cut/reformat things that are put in their records at character creation. It's their character, after all, and they decide what is canon and what isn't. Also, extend it to all forms of records. If I get charged with assault one shift and I want it to carry on, I should be able to. If I get suspended for a shift and want it to carry over, I should be able to. If I sustain a severe injury or have a mental breakdown and want it to carry over, you already know what I'm gonna say.
