KingOfThePing
I greet you, Aurorafolk. I bring, once again, a suggestion of utmost importance. As many of you know, Pugs are snowflakes. With a right click you can name them. Completely without admin intervention. Other animals, non-snowflakey as they are, cannot be named. I suggest changing that. I feel like an idiot, whenever I press F1 to ask "can someone bls name this cat Mr. Pawsy, thank you". Since the code to name animals clearly already exists, please extend that to the corgis, cats, kittens and maybe even the fathouters. And cows, maybe, idk, perhaps chefs want to bond or want to name the thing they shove into the gibber. Also parrots. I can't think of more. Don't include rats, maybe. Maybe do, I'm not your boss. That's all folks. Stay tuned for another highly important suggestion from me, thank you. Link to comment
Doxxmedearly
On this episode of "Doxx is KingOfThePing's Favorite Person": Already planned for this is a series of animal updates. This was going to be in the first one, along with another feature and some adjustments. Keep an eye out; I may get to it as soon as this weekend. edit: For some reason it's limited to guard dogs in code, which is why it works for pugs and other commandable dogs. I have most of the code written already, pending testing and stuff. Edited December 5, 2019 by Doxxmedearly Link to comment

I have most of the code written already, pending testing and stuff. Please hold off on this. I'm already implementing a name change helper in my https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/7382 PR, and redundant code is not a great idea. I'd be happy to adapt the name change helper to station pets after the PR is merged. Link to comment
Doxxmedearly
I will wait until your PR is resolved to handle it, but looking at it, doesn't seem to conflict with renaming most animals in the way that renaming dogs currently functions, which was what my work was based on (Which is as simple as extending the verb to most animals). I was planning to rewrite doggo code too once the PR finishes so that everyone uses the same namechange helper support proc which includes stuff like admin notices of name changes. Link to comment
Doxxmedearly
One way or the other, you'll be able to name your friends. Fear not. Link to comment
KingOfThePing
I am unable to play much currently or check github that much so I ask here if I am already able to name my four-legged friends yet ;u; Link to comment
Doxxmedearly
That will be my next project after my hallucination rework. Fear not, I also wish for this. Link to comment
