"Continuing to make meme announcement as an AI, taking jabs at the Captain, something an AI should never do in the first place. Also, please be mindful of your turrets when you turn them on lethal, especially with crew in the room, even if it was an accident." I'm appealing the second part of the announcement here. One of the raider antagonists was trying to breach one of the walls so they could steal me, so I locked down the shutters and then activated my turrets so the watching security wouldn't be targeted by the turrets. I thought this turret controller would only control these 5 turrets. It makes sense because it is centered around that. Turns out it also controls some of the other turrets in the other room, which accidentally shot on security. It was an honest mistake but for some reason that's mentioned here too and pratepresidenten was extremely unsympathetic about this. They said I should know better because I play AI a lot, despite it being extremely rare for an AI to ever modify their turret settings and even more rarer for someone to go inside your core. I mean, I'm somewhat fine with a warning about the meme announcement, but I am absolutely not fine with the announcement about making a simple mistake that had no issues other than 2 security members were shot once while they had full body armor, and easily treated on scene by the paramedics that I let in earlier. It honestly feels like they were trying hard to ding me for something. The first incident isn't really worth warning over, and the second incident is definitely not worth warning for, so they decided to combine the warning together despite the first one being "eh sure" and the second one being "what." I recall you saying at some point that you had a hard time remembering things, so I added the accident with the turrets to help you remember. I reviewed your history and what pertained to synthplay, and even with your prior notes and warnings for poor synthplay stemming all the way from 2018, I still opted in for a warning. But lets assume for a moment that I did not make this a combined warning. 1) Your meme behaviour as an AI is something you have prior notes and warnings over, so this one would have been escalated regardless of the mishap with the core turrets. 2) The accident with the turrets would have been a note. Even if it was an accident, it was noteworthy. Overall there has been quite a few issues with your synthplay, so maybe you're right. Maybe it was wrong of me to warn you for this. Perhaps the more appropriate response would have been to issue a synthban.

I legitimately don't trust a person to handle this where it's okay to say "what you're complaining that the warning you received is unfair? maybe you're right, maybe I should've done a harsher punishment" like jesus fucking christ

You are asking for another staff member to reevaluate the situation. Prate is free to admit that they could have opted for a harsher punishment after having some time to think about their decision on this situation. Whoever picks this complaint is also free to chose a harsher punishment if the situation appears to be more problematic when reviewed in the logs. As to why this is: This forum is never meant as a shotgun against others. I had to handle complaints with rather wild complaints against staff and other players, that upon closer inspection showed a deeper problem with the one posting it, than what was seen during the round and tickets itself. When posting here, not only will the staff decision be investigated in full, but also how the staff member came to it.

It is so light its hard to even call it a punishment. You made an honest mistake in regards to the turret controls. This warning is documentation so that you do not repeat it as the consequences of misunderstanding turret controls can be quite deadly.
