[ACCEPTED] Trazz666's Command Whitelist 2: Revenge of the Whitelist

Recommended Posts

BYOND key: Trazz666

Character names: Salani Raj, Leonard Smith, Ob-Servo, Zozk Ursao, Jaylee Zaun, Brooke Rosensteel, and many more.

How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Since day one.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: The simplest answer is because I lost my whitelist due to an abrupt ban. It's hard going from command back to a basic player.

Why did you come to Aurora?: Because years and years ago, the Apollo server had enough of the owner, Laser50's childish behavior, and there was a mass exodus into 2 servers. Aurora was one of them.

Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes.

Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?: Yes, once. Apparently serious enough to warrant a 3 day ban.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:  In my 2018 application when I came back to the server, I made some flowery statement on how roleplay should be about escapism and having fun by losing yourself by pretending to be another person. That may still be true. But, I've found that in the context of Space Station 13 Aurora Server, roleplay largely boils down to a willing surrender of mechanical prowess (mainly when it comes to combat) for the sake of realism. Taking things like fear and pain into consideration while facing combat/hostile encounters, but also taking things like comfort and personal preferences in a more casual setting.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: Administrative. They are largely meant to be enforcers of corporate regulations and policy on their department. They're also there to guide/instruct newer members, delegate tasks to subordinates, and to help keep the captain from spacing themselves by managing their department efficiently.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: It's about the facilitating of fun or conflict, mostly. As a command staff member, you're entrusted with a 'power'. It's not real, mechanical power, but a power of authority that as a roleplay server we've all agreed to acknowledge. You use that authority in good faith in relation to the other players, taking their fun into consideration, and not abuse it.

Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?: Well this question is new. There's been questions about the Jargon Empire and their possible kidnapping of crew aboard the Aurora and killing another. Most of my command characters haven't been used since then, but my captain is now very suspicious and untrusting of Skrell as a whole.

What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?: Captain, Head of Personnel, and Research Director. I might eventually work up my engineering skills to try CE at some point.

Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: Captain Leonard Smith, Head of Personnel Salani Raj, and Research Director Ob-Servo

How would you rate your own roleplaying?: About a 7 or 8

Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?: I do, yes.

Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?: Very much so.

I really like your answers to these questions. I have seen Zozk Ursao a few times and I appreciate how you play them. While I don't think I've specifically seen you during your trial from what I have seen otherwise I have a good gut feeling about you on top of the positive encounters I can remember. +1
