StationCrab Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Would it be possible to either increase the chance of shrapnel removal, or shorten the 'cast' bar somewhat? I had a patient with 10+ shrapnel in them, and this took a legitimate thirty minutes to remove them all with the failures, plus repairing the bones/organs and such. Now I know severe injuries should take awhile to fix, but missing the shrapnel so much isn't a very fun mechanic for the surgeon or the patient, especially since we can no longer spam the hemostat to get multiple attempts. Any thoughts on this from other medical players?
Lordnesh Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Yes please. It's very irritating to have to dig around in someone's cheesy cavity fifteen times or more to remove a handful of bullets. No, that wasn't deliberate. Yes, I'm keeping it that way.
Shenaanigans Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 You used to be able to queue up multiple attempts at shrapnel removal and thus make the chance of failure easy to deal with, but now that you can't anymore I'd definitely agree that trying to remove multiple pieces is a headache and a half. Either reducing the failure chance or re-allowing the multi-attempt method would be great.
Flpfs Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 (edited) I've made a PR to increase the chances from 50% to 75% https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/10105 Edited September 27, 2020 by Flpfs clarification
