WaterPumpJohnny Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 (edited) So, this is the status quo: As you can see, Consular Officers and Corporate Liasons are paid less than even the Head of Personell (some corporate desk jockey). While for select few Liasons or Consuls this might indeed be accurate, for the majority it isn't. The fact that, say, a Golden Deep representative or an Idris liason can have as much money as a quartermaster or doctor on a regular basis is absolutely ridiculous. It's only logical to bump the Consular/Liason pay modifier to at the VERY LEAST 15 (20 or 25 would be more accurate, but whatever). The opposition I've seen to this is mostly, "what if the Liason/Consular orders 15k in guns?!" which is silly, considering that ANY head of staff can do the same thing and there are high roleplay standards imposed upon those with Head of Staff whitelist. This is a very simple change with minimal impact to gameplay- yet one that would allow Consul/Liason players to better roleplay a character from high society who bleeds cash. ALTERNATIVELY, you could have Consuls/Liasons spawn with a static amount of credits. Edited April 26, 2022 by WaterPumpJohnny
Tristan63 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 me when the broke a$$ zavod liaison tries to buy some items from the merchant but ends up only having a few hundred in the account +1
ben10083 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Made a Pull Request regarding this idea, at first, I thought of making it higher than RD, but felt it was best to stick with 15 for now. This may change if maintainers want it to.
