Butterrobber202 Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 hello, please add reinforced glass roofs so we can maintain those pretty viewing holes down into the lower decks without having a single breach vent the entire center column of the ship. You can't hear speech between levels as it is, so this effectively does not nerf anything, while safeguarding engineers everywhere from suicide.
La Villa Strangiato Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I agree, the center nexus of the Horizon is honestly a death trap for any engineers trying to do damage control. For example, bad atmos from the hangar takes a single door opening to get to the upper levels/central ring, blocking a whole lot of people from being able to get to medical, security, or engineering without inflatables or a suit. Moving through doors spreads the atmos further, and before long you've got a list of atmos alerts that you need to scroll through. I could also have a "go-off" about how Engineers not having access to air alarm remote control makes DC that much more tedious when you don't have a chief engineer or an atmos tech, but I will save that for another thread.
Carver Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I do like the central atrium being somewhat vulnerable. I'd prefer some form of 'emergency shutters' for wide open floors in these areas, rather than locking it (and all the mobility it offers in weird cases) off entirely.
