How long have you been playing on Aurora?
around a month

Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?
No warnings, no bans.
I got bwoinked job hopping when I first joined the server. Learned my lesson there.

Please provide well-articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?
OOC purpose is to be a mentor for those in your department providing quality answers for basics and guidance for doing tasks. IC wise, I think their job is to be both a leader and listener, bringing problems that need to be brought to captain’s or other heads attention and delegating problems that can be dealt with by your department. Lastly provide good roleplay interactions to maintain the cohesion you’re part of a company ship, taking point in having interactions with coworkers like an interview about some beef between coworkers.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?
The big responsibility OOC wise is to learn to be more open with people. Have new characters come join in on the fun of whatever you’re doing and be an example of alright roleplaying. I just think I would try and make more interactions with characters both ones I know and others I don’t know. Being whitelisted while definitely a privilege is not an example of perfect roleplay and I’m definitely not a perfect role-player. I just plan to be a decent example of upholding some higher standard to roleplaying as a whitelisted character, knowing that if I get stretched thin I can take a break.

Explain how the recent events in the Spur changed your character and how they came to be employed on the SCCV Horizon.
Issa Ofana is a suit for Hephaestus Industries in the Eridani Federation. He’s always been under the luck with low paying jobs and having higher ups switching his position every handful of months with middling differences in pay. As something of a young upstart he’d always take the opportunities others wouldn’t, leading ultimately mediocre and inglorious jobs, from flying ships between megacities, filing various papers for higherups, doing small insignificant tasks on the side. A typical life in Eridani.

At the height of phoron scarcity Hephaestus in the Federation began to move people around as the skirmishes carried on between Sol and Biesel. While mostly unphased by the skirmishes as the forming of the SCC was in the works, the company needed more administrators in Biesel calling from all branches of the megacorp. While most Eridani didn’t answer the call. Issa did, leaving his home seeking those opportunities.

Becoming an administrator for the SCC brought a welcome change of pace, while there were still papers to push, the quality of life given was much more fruitful than on Eridani. On a plain day in the office Issa saw an application for the SCCV Horizon as an executive officer. While he had always worked more paper pushing jobs, he saw the opportunity to rise up in life, an actual promotion instead of a reassignment. So he applied and a few weeks later without and unceremoniously had been assigned as executive to the Horizon.

What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?
executive officer

I plan to later play captain and representative down the line.

Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?
Yes

Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking:
Issa Ofana - executive officer

Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?
Yes

Have you linked your BYOND account to the Forums?
Yes

Extra notes:
Have a nice day :)

Ulery, Iota, and Sylv are all interesting characters that I like to see on the manifest from time to time. I've been meaning to play my service characters a bit more anyhow, so +1! I'm interested in seeing a trial.

I have only ever really interacted with Iota and Eve, but in both of those circumstances I had a pretty positive experience with the roleplay. I do not see the harm in giving them a trial and letting them test their might.

I think that you need more playtime and experience on the server to get a good grasp of the lore and setting. Besides that, I have nothing to comment about mechanics knowledge.

Have interacted a bit with Iota, less so with Ulery. I only have two things to say: your sentence structure and syntax feels off in a way that I can't really put down to character. This is a game based almost entirely around writing and clicking on things (and no one's perfect), but I feel like the dialogue you write in-game is somewhat lacking --- this would be problematic in a role like XO, which doesn't have a ton to do mechanically. Again, no one's perfect, and this is a pretty odd criticism to make, but it's something I've noticed. (And not something that really matters. Improper grammar isn't against the sever rules, and a lot of people in this community speak English as a second language.)

My second thing to say is that you talked about getting put into a positronic chassis as Iota; this is outright mentioned as impossible on the wiki. A pretty minor slip-up that I think probably stems from people suggesting that in-game and probably not your fault, but one that seems worth mentioning.

All that said... yeah, +1. Give Airlines7 a shot. A chance. Put him in, coach!
