Dreamix Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 (edited) Better screenshots from discord: Top Deck Mid Deck Bottom Deck So yeah. I flipped Horizon. There were plans to do something different (run CM with Aurora flavor, like last year we did Bay), but we got busy, so I did this instead. It was not perfect, and shuttles were kinda broken, but it was mostly functional otherwise, and inside the ship it was mostly okay just with visual/decorative issues. I've seen some people say it's better flipped like this. I've seen some people say it's awful and horrible and I'm evil and it's nonsense, and I hope they were joking, as I wanted this to be a mostly harmless april fools prank. I hope either way, that it was fun for a bit to see Horizon from a different perspective. Edited April 2, 2024 by Dreamix Quote
Caelphon Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 It was a wee bit confusing but it was a lowkey funny joke, still think it was evil incarnate because my brain couldn’t understand up was left and left was down… Quote
Girdio Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Personally, there were parts of the ship that I think was better flipped. As I mentioned throughout the day, I feel like some places having stuff closer in the foreground/closer to the viewer made it look more natural. Like the Service wing for example. Quote
Rabid Animal Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 I didn't get the chance to play yesterday but that's hilarious lmfao Quote
Desven Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Does anyone have any in-game screenshots? I'm curious. Quote

It was a fun game of "what is that Horizon location" since it can throw you off at a glance, since I know I at last use the shape of a room in part to know where you are. I have always wondered why the ship was "backwards" and I think part of the reasoin people struggle with using the correct "port" and "starboard" is because it is so. I think some areas looked way, way better for the flip (service, area outside the bridge) and it really makes you consider some wierd things (the merchant's ship docks directly to the front of the Horizon, wierd) that I never thought about before. NothingNew Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Finally, Larboard is actually to the left. Quote
