Teslabot Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 BYOND Key: vivallion Player Byond Key: sleepwolfy Staff involved: Voltagehero + others Reason for complaint: Taking a crew role as an antag, backstabbing fellow antags by other ways (this case, taking the syndicate uplink with them and not mentioning to others, leaving the two other nuke ops to die.), being a borin'ol' friendly nukeoperative. Approximate Date/Time: 14.5.2015, 11 pm - 1 am. GMT+2. They played a female tajaran nuke op. This person spent majority of this nuke round to play friendly with the crew and essentially doing nothing, after taking majority of the syndicates' resources (the syndicate uplink, used it only to get c4?) The main issue on this is the fact they could have given the spot early on to someone or notified an admin they did not want to be an antagonist. They have been already warned of the taking of the uplink. I have saved logs of the round if you'd like, though they may provide little as i only had camera on her suit, however, admins were present to witness when i prodded them over ahelps. EDIT: So this just happened:
VoltageHero Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 If I recall correctly, the only other Nuke Ops were dead, meaning that SleepyWolf's Nuke Ops was the final one. I may have missed a bit of what happened with the character, but from what I observed, the character was helping medical, which medical seemingly allowed, and had joined Nanotrasen, and left her Nuke Ops team. Seen here: I am not sure if the medical team was going along with it, or what exactly happened there, but the Nuke Ops was given a job (supposedly) by medical. Seen here: This is the extent that I have seen, and have dealt with.
keinto Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Ending up being a friendly mercenary is fine, as long as the character had an arc to get to that point. I don't know whether this was the case, but even then, the crew is also at fault for accepting a random-ass person as a crew member so quickly.
enkas Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Well, as a person who was one of the first crewmembers to interact with the character, I can say, that she has made her character to be a refugee from Adomai, on the run from rebels and such. We took her for treatment, and she gave away her weapons to the captain. Eventually, Wesley trusted her enough to let her work and such. Anyways. She did make some quite nice RP, despite the constant explody expectations (that one of the ops have fulfilled), and was quite a nice change for a nuke round.
Eliot Clef Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I was observing some of this early in the round. Crowclaw and her fellow NukeOps seemed to be getting together a plan to infiltration the station as refugees. In order to facilitate this, one of the nukeops was deliberately wounded by being shot in the leg (by Crowclaw). This did not go well. Crowclaw lost grip on the other nukeop in space, and then I had to go do other stuff so I didn't see most of what followed, except that the wounded/dying nukeop was cursing Crowclaw's name. I'm pretty sure some honest errors of judgement occurred here that lead to a less-than-satisfactory nuclear round, but I don't think the end result was deliberate from the start.
Teslabot Posted May 13, 2015 Author Posted May 13, 2015 Ending up being a friendly mercenary is fine, as long as the character had an arc to get to that point. I don't know whether this was the case, but even then, the crew is also at fault for accepting a random-ass person as a crew member so quickly. Essentially what i mean is, they did nothing antagonistic during the round, which wasted a space for anyone wanting to participate in such.
SleepyWolf Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 To quote server rules, which I stand by verrrry closely, "-The primary goal of antags is to CONTRIBUTE TO OTHERS' ENJOYMENT. Be creative when coming up with objective, and try to do things which will be fun for others, not only for yourself." I do what I do to get petty theft, and steal slowly and gain trust. I got a whole department against an ERT trooper, so...
VoltageHero Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 To quote server rules, which I stand by verrrry closely, "-The primary goal of antags is to CONTRIBUTE TO OTHERS' ENJOYMENT. I got a whole department against an ERT trooper, so... Does that mean you should sacrifice your own team's enjoyment, to create a better environment for the non-antags though? I don't believe Telsabot was telling you to go run and gun everybody, but is a bit displeased due to your other actions.
SleepyWolf Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Never did I do anything to hinder their enjoyment, I shot the guy in the leg because they requested it, and it was part of the mission. We were going to try going in as being escaped from the Tampinskya facility attack. I lost that one in space, and the syndi uplink was an accident when I put it in my bag and left. Was assuming everyone else was coming with me too, but then things went south and we all got lost in space, we had internal arguements, and it all got fucked up. I was trying to stay alive, and make a good plan.
the_furry Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 honestly I'd do nuke ops more often if I saw rp like this. to much explody explody happens and it's just never fun. would have been even more often if the other nuke ops members where in on it and rped comething to the station as rebels to capture the one that was fleeing or something.
Jakers457 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I usually screw over fellow antags to achieve my goals.
Baka Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 What we know is that, yes, Sleepywolf did take the radio, but it was by accident, and there was nothing malicious to come of it. It was returned after she was prodded. And while she was a peaceful nuke ops, the round in question had conflict with welderbombings and other things the rest of the team did. It is not unheard of nuke ops deviating from the main plan, but the rest of the team was dead and there was nothing that Sleepy could had done without getting trounced on (which happened at the end of the round with the ERT). I really see this as an IC issue for the most part, and next time there's a team, if you want a plan to work, you need to communicate and get on the same page before setting off to avoid less hiccups.
Baka Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I believe the case is now settled due to there being a lack of response. Please PM me if you have question, comments, or concerns about this particular case. This will be locked and archived now.
