In my undefined hiatus from Aurora station, it has come to my attention that multiple complaints have surfaced regarding current Tajaran whitelist holders; super-aggression, extreme violence, and total disregard for their superiors are all things that have been noted, amongst others. Let me begin by saying that I am incredibly disappointed. In my absence, it appears that some of you have chosen to run wild and free and are under the impression you can do what you want and when you want it without any kind of punishment. That notion is going to be broken. I will not be playing on the Aurora anymore during this hiatus, but I am going to be watching.

For those of you who don't know, I am the Tajaran lore and whitelist handler. Complaints regarding Tajaran whitelistees should ultimately be forwarded to me as well. I do not appreciate folk going over my head, because it delays the process. Information I am receiving is not evidence, it is hearsay from my superiors that I cannot act on. You telling Jackboot or Scopes something and then me hearing about it after the fact renders it null without any proof. As much as I do not like where certain players have gone, I cannot revoke a whitelist because you are mad. I cannot revoke a whitelist because a cat scratched you, or sleeps with 12 people, or because they tried to make cuddle piles canon. I need evidence.

So I invite you all to show it to me. I have worked long and hard on Tajaran lore, and despite my break from this game, I am proud of where I took it. As Tajaran whitelist holders, you all are afforded a privilege. It is a privilege to be able to play this non-human species. It was a privilege to receive my approval to do so, and where I gave I can easily take away. Repeated poor conduct and play as a member of Tajaran can in fact result in the dissolution of that privilege and you returning to the unfurred masses, irregardless of how popular or well-known your characters are. That is irrelevant to me.

My inbox is always open. Complaints will be read and considered, and a dialogue will be opened with players. I try my hardest to remain unbiased. Any previous complaints will not be considered by me. If you want something to be done, talk to me. I do not act on hearsay. I do not consider "Well, so and so told me" or "X won't speak to you so I will" in any way, shape or form. Private message me with concerns. I can ghost and observe Tajaran. I can open dialogue between players. I can revoke whitelists if it comes to that. But I can't do anything without information. So message me, make player complaints, do something if you're so upset.

The point where it is now is just a hair's width away from it getting out of hand, and I will not stand for that. I expect anyone whitelisted to be beholden to the responsibilities they have as a whitelisted player. The Tajaran are not Unathi. They are not tribal, furious, 'murder you for calling me a cat' creatures. I hate pigeonholing, but it has become so ridiculous I have to tell you that you would be fired for clawing the captain's face off even if he called you a cat.

You are marginalized.

You are not respected.

You are viewed as terrorists by the galaxy as a whole because of the war.

You are distrusted.

If you cannot come to terms with these facts, perhaps Tajaran isn't a race for you.

When you say you need evidence. Are you asking for evidence of actually being a bad taj. Or are you saying you need evidence that a taj is sleeping around. If its the latter i can tell you right now safi has multiple partners canonly. I was jot aware that it grounds for whitelist revoke (atleast as i understand what you said). Is it impossible for a taj to sleep around? For a race who have very human traits (especially in sexuality) i find that hard to believe.

As for the clawing i ask the same. Now i dont claw people the moment they call me a cat. What i am concerned about is if the person says "fuck off you fucking cat flea bag. You dont deserve to be here you should go die the way the rest of your cat kind should" i think its reasonable if i claw them(normall i report to ia but hate like that doesnt get ignored by any reasonable person). I dont feel like having to defend my reasoning why someone wouldn't move to agression when dealing with hate like that. So please elaborate on those two topics.

Follow rules of reasonable escalation. People have been clawed into crit for calling Tajarans cats. This is unacceptable.

So if you're in your workplace and someone unleashes a tirade of insults at you, you're telling me it's reasonable to physically attack them? You take your complaints to their superior or address it by insulting them back.

You should know IC'ly that your position is precarious. Having multiple assaults on your record is going to get you fired, irregardless of the circumstances beforehand. If I slugged another associate at my deli, I'd be fired, even if he called me something obscenely racist.

No, but really, the whole Tajaran, and to a similar extent, Unathi, gang mentality has (coupled with the server population's mostly liberal mindset) has really stifled the whole racism aspect of the lore. Personally, I think it's due to the fact that there are simply more fucking cats and lizards than a pet store? Anyways, I have subtly racist characters who can never display that side of their personality because well, they'll be singled out, ganged up on, and probably physically beaten by these second-class humanoid aliens working for a human-centric megacorporation.

No, but really, the whole Tajaran, and to a similar extent, Unathi, gang mentality has (coupled with the server population's mostly liberal mindset) has really stifled the whole racism aspect of the lore. Personally, I think it's due to the fact that there are simply more fucking cats and lizards than a pet store? Anyways, I have subtly racist characters who can never display that side of their personality because well, they'll be singled out, ganged up on, and probably physically beaten by these second-class humanoid aliens working for a human-centric megacorporation.

All right I could not agree more I rarely play ads my Taj because of how gangey it's become also I welcome the radish its so fun to tp I love it if you ever rp with chive rook and Chicago please use some subtle IPC discrimination. It's really fun to make my characters react in subtle different ways and develop their own prejudicees. Tldr +1 to post be racist yo Taj unathi and IPC because lore.

The only Tajaran character I have anymore has a personality completely built around the idea that he's never going to be 'good enough', and that he has to work very hard to even remain where he is (HoP) and it's still not enough to be 'good enough'.

Hilariously it's created a situation where he hates other Tajaran and the culture equally or more than I'm annoyed by it OOC.

Yeah that's how I play Rook now he knows his place in society.Chicago gives no shits about others he only gives a damn about himself and chive tries his best to better equality for the ipces but he just takes the discrimination my Taj I never play as a silent protest against the current state of Taj and my humans are all subtly racist.
