Guest Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 See title. Flamethrowers are hardly useful if you have to stun people in order for them to even catch alight. It's silly and dumb to do spaceman gymnastics in order to set a bunch of people on fire. make firestarters great again
Mofo1995 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I agree with this. All though the throwers don't leave fuel around anymore, they still do pretty much nothing but look cooler. I literally couldn't burn a mouse to death in maintenance, I had to bludgeon it with the thrower.
Vanagandr Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Perhaps if they acted somewhat like a welding-fuel only chemsprayer? Welding fuel fires are a bit OP though. Being literally on fire does not seem to do much as-is as far as I can tell.

Skull132 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I can change the code of flammenwerfer fuel to instacoat someone, upon getting werfed. Flammenwerfer fuel is actually very nasty: a goopy type of petrol, basically. It sticks to everything and is a PITA to get off, so this change would make sense. As for mob-related fire mechanics, yeah, they kill very fucking slowly. for some reason, they don't apply damage right off the bat. I need to look into that.
