Time to back out

I'm seemingly angry all the fucking time these days on Aurora, and now it's starting to actually fuck up my sleep cycles.

I unfortunately just can't convince myself to put up with the quality of a lot of the role play quality we've received this past month. We currently have another 10:1 lesbay-nurse-miku-to-normal-(positively homosexual)-human-female crisis, lots of idiotic humans with no regards to principle roleplay elements like fear or pain - willing to meet a lethal weapon aimed at them and an order to drop their weapons with an idiotic charge and pushspam, and OOC cheerleaders who really can't cut the panty gossip and insist on mentioning how popular(PROMISCUOUS) their characters are. Worst of all, there's just too many for me to kill or shame into growing up!

So I'm doing the necessary thing to calming down and getting real sunlight like no one else here seems to do. I'm not leaving. Just whining and explaining impending inactivity.

Seriously people, clean up the RP taste. It's really sour right now.

Yeah what's the dealio with this? I wasn't too bothered BUT some people are literally ignoring pain and fear RP (broken skulls and brain damage are shrugged off) and I've noticed people ignoring things like realistic qualifications (nurses performing surgery?) along with jus a general rise in poor RP recently. Kinda lame guys, kinda lame.

Wuld-b-cool if folks could pick their RP skills up again.

It happened because my Head whitelist to make medbay great again was turned down. I saw this coming (really, I did) and just backed out and let it happen.

Adminhelp folks who don't painRP/fearRP.

As Alberyk said in the mod channel when I spoke to staff about it: "Well, you dealt with the doc who charged a heister with no RP and a saw, yup? There's your answer." If folks don't RP properly, the admins will generally clear it.

One thing that pushes my buttons to an uncomfortable point is how bystanders aboard the Aurora react to crime. I don't know too many people who would be willing to get mixed up in a foot chase or standoff. For example, I will be pursuing a suspect on foot, my taser or pistol drawn. The only thing that's stopping me from ending the pursuit is the doctor/assistant/engineer/annoying fuck that is trying to push the criminal down. Not only that, but apparently no one is afraid of guns, hostage-takers, or firefights. During the Tesla event, the Unathi and Tajaran bodyguards got into a firefight, and since I had no hands, I couldn't stop the shootout. However, no one really ran out of Departures en-masse when the shooting started, and one scientist even snatched up the Tajaran bodyguard's weapon and continued the firefight.

It's like no one enjoys the challenges associated with RPing anymore.
