Guest Menown Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 It looks bad, and it'd be better if we had the option to pull our pantslegs over our boots. No idea what code would be needed to do this however.
Carver Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 As unprofessional as this sounds ICly, it would be a nice feature to have in general. A few undersuits here and there clip with boots/shoes and this would solve it. At the same time I've heard layering in SS13 is something of a bitch but that may have changed as of lately, who knows.
Zundy Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 We talking about jackboots? You can't roll your 'pant legs' over those son.
Guest Menown Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 It's entirely possible to wear your pants over your boots irl. The jackboots in-game are basically just combat boots mixed with regular boots, given the length of the sprites.

You literally can't tuck them into your trousers/pants IRL. HOWEVER, IG I think this is a fine idea.

The jackboots in-game are basically just combat boots mixed with regular boots, given the length of the sprites. You stretch your pants out unnecessarily when you do that. It's also very uncomfortable and it restricts movement quite a bit. That's why institutions enforce this part for dresscode when it comes to wearing boots. It serves a superior form and a superior function. I've worn work boots and jackboots. I wouldn't dream of stretching my slacks, dress pants or even jeans out in that manner. Boots also provide shin-high protection and prevent the bottoms of your pantlegs from either getting wet or contaminated. So you can do it, but everyone should be able to call you a weirdo for doing it.

Nikov Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Really depends on the pants. I can put my cammies over my Corocans, but I prefer the paratrooper tuck-and-blouse for ticks.
Nanako Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I don't see how wearing trousers over boots is stretching. anything apart from skinny jeans will usually fit over boot-ankles quite easily. Tucking them into the boots is the wierd thing, that restricts movement. I see painters, decorators, builders, warehouse workers etc, all around glasgow regularly, i live in an industrial part of town. Everyone wears loose-hanging trousers or overalls, that hang over their boots
