Cuffing Without Hands

In the event that someone has lost a hand someone with cuffs, cable coils, or zip-ties should have the ability to cuff the perp to themselves.

They would be pulled automatically as if locked inside pulling. To prevent from getting stuck they should also be able to chance places on help intent.

People missing both hands aren't a threat to anyone but themselves so we can probably just continue to point and snicker as they try to run away.

I've personally thought about this in the past and I don't think it'd really work, if you cuff someone to yourself, what decides who leads who? If they're uncooperative it'd be a relentless tug of war that you'd need to beat them into submission over(which beats the purpose when it comes to someone with one hand), they could go willingly but for the purposes of being a method of cuffing someone with only one hand, I don't think this'd be a good solution.

The person holding the cuffs would be the puller, and treated as such by cuff-pull mechanics.

Hmhh, that doesn't sound incredibly unreasonable, I support this.

better then people who're supposedly disadvantaged being able to cause so much problems because they just can't really be restrained

We could just change handcuffs (soooooo 21st century) into 'Magnacles': "Magnetised handclamps—a snap-open hoop constructed of hardened and tempered plas-steel that seals around a suspects wrist and locks together." Don't need hands for those, just something for them to wrap around (read: arms).

I believe some police/forces us some kind of binder that goes around the torso, so they strap and restrain the arm against themselves for something like that. So basically, make zipties able to do so?
