Revolution/loyalist conversion prompts

Slash the current system where you merely only need to press a button to convert someone in your vicinity, and replace it with having to write a sentence (six characters minimum to allow for affirmative propositions after a significant bit of dialogue, i.e., "Do you agree?"). Also add the sentence used to convince someone to join both in immediate adminlogs and at the end of round reveal when the antagonists are revealed.

This cuts any current issues with some people who don't understand the rev game mode and are spamming the convert verb without actually roleplaying with people to get them to join their cause, and hopefully deflate the issue altogether by requiring people to actually say a sentence or two to try and convert people to their side. In addition, if someone types out "asdsdadsffasdkjl", mods or admin staff watching the logs will be able to jump on people spouting nonsensical jibberish in order to lazily "convert" people. For the end of round, it's simply recorded for added fluff statistics people would be interested to see at the end of round to potentially see why people joined up with the revolution or the loyalists.

Just in case it isn't, getting silently converted in rev, or me hitting enter to send something else and accidentally confirming the prompt to join as it takes window focus, are huge pet peeves of mine. I would enjoy a little barrier getting in the way of that.

(Why isn't the default highlight "No" anyway?)

are you stuck with one sentence only? on rev i love playing the sweet talking liar who tells half his revs they'll scrap the synths and the other half that they're fighting for better social security. the part about end round is what made me think so, unless the conversion sentence is shown under each converted guy and not the converter, then this is good shit.

There are two schools of thought, generally. One is that, "Default is yes, this allows you to blaze through stupid menus that you see a million times while adminning/doing shit. Just don't fuck up, and you'll be fine."

The other is, "Well. We gotta make sure people don't fuck up!"

SS13 was originally made with the former mindset. With the two recent Baymemes, our codebase is split 50/50.

Anywhere between a small sentence and a near-paragraph, really, so you can ramble a ton as part of your invitation. The terms I listed in the OP were just to lay down what the bare minimum expectation is for an invite into a revolution/loyalist party-time. Confetti and all.

If someone doesn't fulfill the minimum expectation of properly roleplaying in the sense of inviting someone to be a rev, either we pick it up or someone ahelps it, and we can go and tell a guy to try a little harder and they'd be set, best case scenario.

I like this idea. I once accidentally spoiled the gamemode because I hit "convert" and it pinged one of the people nearby. I had to looc apologize for it, which kinda told others the game mode. While I know nobody is supposed to take OOC IC, it is quite easy to suddenly become a bit more suspicious of the guy who's shouting "NT is takin' our jobs and there's chemicals in the water that turn the frogs Skrell gay!" A bit of "Hey, NanoTrasen needs your loyalty in these trying times, will you answer the call?" Would be cool.

One idea is that the rev leads and loyal leads decide on a phrase used to convert. So, depending on the round, it could be "Will you reconfirm your contract with Nanotrasen?" for loyalists and "We need to renegotiate our contract" for the revs. Or, it could be something simple, like "Join or die, twat." (good luck getting people with that one)

Another idea tied to the last one is that each lead has their own one. So, the CMO could have one thing to recruit, while the Head of Security could have another one, and the HoP has their own. A bit more complicated, but it stops everyone from being locked into a phrase they don't like.

Now, I know practically nothing about the code, but the trigger could be like the explosive implant trigger, where a certain phrase triggers the convert window.
