Okay, you see this bad boy? Yes? So this one will definately make your day BAD. So since we have flashbangs that are also bad, why not have also another set of grenades that are Non-lethal grenades filled with rubber balls that hurt A LOT when it explodes.

Okay, what is the point.

1. Have another type of grenades that can take out necessary threat out of order by making him lose focus so the security team can come and zip them down fast before they regain focus and retaliate.

2. Set of grenades that can at least affect people who doesn't have protective gear (Armour, EVA, helmets, riot gear etc.) But can affect people who have civilian wears (jumpsuits with lab coats and etc.)

3. This is meant to be a grenade only for small spaces. For let's say either 4x4 or 5x5 tile huge space. And does only a small brute damage, and knock people or at least "freeze" them.

This is mainly a start up of this idea. Why i mostly want Stingers is because Flashbangs can be countered easily and they are practically useless when up against geared personel , but then again stingers can also be, but stingers will have their own purpose.

nope

a flashbang is what ended a cult round for me.

flashbangs are skill-based to begin with. if you fail cooking it miserably, you lose a shitload of time. If you throw it too soon, they can throw it right back at you.

I can agree, but you know what also can end (insertantagroundhere) round fast?

A stun baton of justice. If the security officer is suicidal and lucky, he will stun everyone with taking small to no damage (I experienced it and it was BS)

Also to begin with, flashbangs objective is to blind and knock people out for the time, who do not have eye protection.

Stingers objective is to knock people out who do not have protective gear (armor and and helmet).

Technically speaking these two granades are doing the same objective only with different mechanics and usage.

Maybe it is just me, thinking to at least have ways to harmlessly disable people to make them submit/siezed/cuffed. Some maybe will approve of this idea, some won't.

And if that happens, then you ahelp it post-haste. Security officer charging at three nuclear operatives and stunning all of them with just a baton? Not a sane character (because you need to value your own existence too, guys, c'mon, your character does /not/ know that they're expendable pixels) and powergaming; against the rules.

That was long time ago, and a thing under the bridge, so no need to continue that topic.

While it would be fun to take something iconic and terrifying from, say, The Longest Yard, among other prison movies, Stingers wouldn't be appropriate on a civilian research station. Any Riot Squad has what they need at their disposal. It'd be unnecessary to add another clone of the flashbang for the sake of realism. Gameplay over realism, that's how you make a game fun.

Just a thought or so when suggesting new items or mechanics. One, does this item or mechanic add anything useful to the game for both sides of the spectrum? Two, will this idea change the way the game is played? Three, is this idea even necessary? Could the game do without it?
