  1. As scopes said, it was outlined in the SOP when we had that. And I recommended it be transferred to station directives but I guess it never went through.
  2. I'll repeat what I said in another thread. Tau Ceti Basic is the operational language of NanoTrasen. When discussing operational matters, or when using operational media - such as departmental or the general communications frequency - you will use the operational language. As they are intended for station operations. If you do not, that could definitely be considered misuse of communications because you are MISUSING communications. The corporate regulations can't define and outline every offense for everything. Hell, there are a lot of things I found it doesn't straight up outline and are kept in a very frustratingly grey area very recently. I'm also pretty certain Baystation is significantly more relaxed with its station protocol compared to Aurora. I can't say for sure, I've never been.
  3. IRC would be much, much more effective.
  4. It was referring to SmileyDemon. Slaved synthetics have laws, Chaznoodles.
  5. That was responding to Nanotoxin. But metagrudging and/or law-breaking is inherently an OOC issue unless there's something unbinding you from your laws. Which means it isn't really law-breaking and therefore, not an OOC issue.
  6. I didn't accuse Nursie of metagrudging.
  7. It sounds like metagrudging to me.
  8. I think this is an example of how I see a lot of synthetics played recently. I like disobeying what I see as silly orders by looking for loopholes. However it seems a lot of slaved synthetics are there just to annoy and inhibit the efforts of the crew, despite their law to SERVE the crew. Which, as I see it, is a deliberate law-break. When anyone else gives this synthetic an order, does it wait until the person specifies when? Or does it do it, and behaved differently just because it was Phoebe? I'm willing to bet it doesn't wait for others to specify a timeperiod to execute the order but rather executes it immediately unless specified otherwise.
  9. Acolytes are assistants to spiritual leaders, not spiritual leaders. Though it DOES sound really cool...
  10. While I don't agree that the 5% instagib should be in place, I do agree that dying unexpectedly once in a while in - in fact - hilarious.
  11. If there was any singular person on this server who deserves some sort of synthetic whitelist, it's Erik. He has probably done way too much independent research on robotic and computer research to even be justified. I'm certain all the mods and devs know him by now so his roleplaying abilities I believe are 'well-documented' so to speak. So I'll speak on behalf of another aspect. As I said, his independent research. He cares way too much about this stuff for the little details that most people will not notice, but I think will make a pretty big difference. Yes.

    Design

It's a sub-machine gun everyone. It is small, it's compact, it's intended for fast close-ranged combat. Honestly I like it. It's so fucking tactical, you don't even comprehend. When I think operator, I don't think of a commando dual-wielding M240B's. When I think operator, I think of a professional in a utilitiarian - yet badass looking - outfit. Everything they have - everything they do - has a purpose that serves it very efficiently with no unneeded bulk. And I think the current CR-20 serves that purpose very well as well as effectively and attractively portrays an SMG. In fact, I personally think that nukes should somehow also have access to a silenced pistol. But that's just for - as Delta refers to it - baller status.
  13. I don't think anyone's got a problem with the general foreign speak. I have a problem with openly using it on the operational frequency with no consequences, as that is intended to be a purely operational communication channel. Tau Ceti Basic is the operational language of NanoTrasen. Therefore, when discussing operational matters or speaking through operational media - such as 145.9 or departmental frequencies - it should be said in the operational language. Whether people want to slack on that IC is completely up to them. If you don't abide by that and nobody says anything, well... Nobody says anything. Who cares. But if someone DOES say something... Something needs to happen. A swift beating, cutting out their tongue, simply asking them to stop. Any of those solutions work.
  14. I hardly qualify Office Depot as the epitome of professionalism. Very ironic considering their target consumer.
  15. I find it very ironic that during nuke rounds, cyborgs pay no attention to their wellbeing. However during malfunction...
  16. I think you should add this to your post to give people a better idea through a visual demonstration.
  17. I really hate the native language abuse. You're just completely exiling everyone else. It's very annoying. Yet on the same note, on a complaint about a closed community and cliques, all I have to say is: Oh well. And on not liking action-RP, as someone who is tired of so much action and just wants some chair RP, all I have to say is: Oh well. EDIT: I also should mention the fact that I dislike the nepotism as well. It's annoying.
  18. I'd like to make a suggestion. Instead of priest, high priest/ess. That way us highschool wiccans can use it.
  19. I trust in Hycinth's ability to roleplay, but I've had some concerns with the character itself. After a closer look at the character, I decided I don't believe I have anything to worry about from it. You have nothing to worry about either, and here's proof.
  20. So did I. And to tell the truth,

I think you've got the wrong idea, Swat. It's the other way around. If it isn't selling well enough, there are two reasons for it. Either it's not just not well-liked, or it's too expensive. In either of the cases the answer isn't to INCREASE price. It's to DECREASE price. Or to get rid of it altogether in favor of another product. Or just to get rid of it, period. I also just noticed that HMMWV is missing a door.
  22. Well. Nobody felt like sharing with me. So I'll share with the server. Here you go. I want it in my locker by this evening. If you could do that that would bee greeeatttt. Soooo ummm. Yyeeaaaaaahh.
  23. They are the 'cop' role though. What does a cop do when they see someone being unruly in the street? They detain them if they don't stop. They get mad, they yell "I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA? IS THIS AMERICA? I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA." and they're taking off to jail against their will until they're processed and someone picks them up. They are already funneled into the 'cop' role because they don't decide who goes to prison. They decide who to hold until transfer before they're handed off to law enforcement to be judged by qualified people. EDIT: I would like emphasise the "I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA" bit as this is more often than not the case except in Aurora's context.
  24. Additionally, 'bridge assistant' and 'blueshield' are already positions that have been arbitrarily filled previously. We've had command guards, and we've had 'clerks'. Mostly Jackboot asking HOP's to be their clerk but it's happened and it's definitely doable as-is. The main reason we don't is because 1) People don't request the job 2) Supverising heads of staff don't want it These are perfectly viable jobs that can be assigned in the round, the thing is people don't try to get them. I've never encountered #2.
  25. Well. Since the head adminstrator AND developer seems to love this, I guess I'll work on the icons and such soon. And.. When I'm done with them, I'm not certain what to do after that. Is only one of them getting ported or both? I repeat, I prefer the black one. God loves the infantry.
