I wish there were more staff with no doctors on. From what I've seen, Medical is second to security in being overstaffed.

BYOND Key: Tainavaa Player Byond Key: Plahunter101 Staff involved: N/A Reason for complaint: LOOC insulting and ranting, resorting to behaviors he promised not to when being unbanned Approximate Date/Time: ~2000 UTC -05:00 Okay, so I wasn't going to make a complaint until Plahunter started acting like a child in LOOC. Beforehand I've read his unban request and haven't personally had an issue with him except when he took the Warden slot and immediately went to cryo when he wasn't selected as an antag on nuke rounds. I'm making this thread because I want this formally brought up to the administrators. I don't believe the unban was deserved after this altercation. Throughout the round, Haruspex was being his insane self but as a traitor. A note (hilariously) points out that he's a syndicate agent verbally and written apparently. Long story short, I call Hunter over to investigate. He wants to take the all-but-confirmed syndicate agent to his office alone. That's a no-go. That is a huge security breach, so Anna demands that an officer will be an escort at all times since detectives are not officers. Hunter then suddenly decides the interrogation will be done in the interrogation room. Suspicious, since the only thing that changed was that an officer needed to be present. Revvy Black watches, Revvy reports to Anna that Hunter is conspiring with Haruspex. Anna is told that Hunter told Haruspex to play along and Anna goes to watch the interrogation as well. It was horribly acted and obviously staged. Anna is paranoid that he's going to try and free Haruspex. Anna tells Revvy to report it to the head of security which I'm not sure if that was done, I don't actually think it was. But regardless, long story short Anna is 100% certain this man wants to do something suspicious with the prisoner. Hunter insists he escort Haruspex to escape and I inform him that I'm the warden, that is my job. That's my jurisdiction. He tells the commander to let him and Revvy escort the prisoner and he allows it, but funnily enough, I needed to go to escape as well so I go with them. They're there, and Anna watches Hunter with a hawk's eye. She doesn't take her eyes off of him. They get on the shuttle and everyone's sitting in the shuttle brig. Hunter walks up to Haruspex and writes an emote, saying something along the lines of "It's for the money" and taking his revolver out and firing five shots into Haruspex. OOC, I don't have an issue with this, even if it is in the shuttle. Blah, blah, end of round grief. Don't really care about that to be honest, even though Hunter was just going to prison after that and there was no real sense in shooting him in front of everyone. Still. Anna is still paranoid as fuck that he's going to release him. So after he typed out the me, I waited until he pulled his gun and fired a shot. Then I pulled out my taser and shot the hell out of him. He managed to fire two shots. Which, after saying it was for the money, and pulling out his revolver and firing a few shots, is reasonable time to respond. Especially since the recoil from a revolver shot causes a serious delay before a second shot. That happens, and then this happens in LOOC. I decide whatever, and I walk out of the brig because there was no room to sit. Then I walk back in because I didn't want to sit with those non-security losers personnel. I was just going to leave it be and let him be angry, but then this happened. So. I think it's only fair it's formally brought up. I don't believe the unban was deserved if he's going to be that quick to revert to his old behaviors.

Yes. I have one complaint. WHERE'S MY RED JACKET AND COMMISSAR CAP? I like blue sec but... I miss it...

Oh yeah. Revvy sounds like that. At least I always imagined her sounding really raspy and masculine lime that. She's probably a man.

This is an interesting thing. If it weren't for some ERT that ignores the rest of the station or cause more issues I don't think the chain of command would have an issue. Basically, if they did their job well. So the chain of command issue stems from an OOC issue. That's what makes me reluctant. I'm not necessarily against it but I see ERT as a "practical" team that comes and sorts out the issues deemed an emergency, and ignoring or only assisting with issues that aren't emergent. So they'd be delegating their efforts to the heads while they dealt with the reason they were called. If they're in charge of solving the problem they're given more authority than crew that would normally outrank them but ONLY for the specific issue. For example, there are terrorists on the station and there are also wounded. The terrorists are clearly an emergent threat that caused the ERT call while the wounded can be managed by medical. The CMO says that, so ERT shouldn't have authority over medical but they do have authority necessary to manage resources to deal with the emergent issue. That does include delegating your own power to the heads of staff to better deal with the issue. I haven't seen ERT for a while personally so I don't know how they're generally seen or played but Im going to guess they're played something like, "We're ERT. We do what we want. You do what we want." If so, then I would have to begrudgingly agree that the chain of command probably should be changed to prevent abuse of power from players that aren't regulated for ERT.

Oh boy. Tina Kaekel has been my go-to character for a lot of games. Before Space Station, she was an insane cultist. While I originally made her to be a cultist in space station as she was in every other game I made her in, over time she's changed from that to... What she is now. And now when I make her in games I have to make her as some nerdy or preppy girl or it doesn't feel right anymore. Pre-SS13 Tina EVE Online: The "Original" Tina Kaekel Torchlight 2 Dark Souls World of Warcraft And then there's Space Station 13, but you can see her ingame and my profile picture. Post-SS13 Tina Grand Theft Auto V there are others that I dont have screenshots for, including -Starbound, where she's a Floran spellcaster. -Guild Wars 2, where she's a Sylvari Necromancer -Wildstar, where she's a sorceress (can't remember the race but she's basically a human still, ponytail and all) I hope you enjoyed my presentation. EDIT: Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention! My friend recommended Divinity: Original Sin to me so I tried it out. In it, I made Tina and Ava as the main party members. Tina was a cleric I think with a pink ponytail, and Ava was a warrior (or paladin or something?) with long, flowing light blue hair. Unfortunately I can't find the screenshots I took, but it was amazing.

Tina looks directly at the webcam and smiles fully. "Oh good, then I won't have to type! And don't be so mopey, Vira. Trust me, it IS fun." She picks up her deck and shows the gloomy goose the back of the top card. its described in the first post im not describing it again Moving the deck closer to her chest she casually shuffles it, almost playing with it rather than actually shuffling. "Okay here's how it's going to work. You can either ask a question, and not like some silly question like, should I have a sandwich or whatever, you know? But like, a real question. About your life, your future, maybe even some advice! Who knows what we have to say to you? Or you CAN ask a rather silly question. Not something stupid like that, but, like, if you have some curiosity about a certain thing in your life be it a hobby or a person or whatever! You can ask it. Or finally, I can just do an independent reading on you. I can ask about you, or your future. Maybe even your past." Tina gasps lightly to catch her breath, stopping her shuffle and straightening out the deck. "Oh! I almost forgot!" Her head turns away from Vira but her eyes remain locked onto her monitor with raised eyebrows. "You know what tarot is, right? Like, you know how this all works? Or are you wondering why I have a deck of cards?" She can't help but chuckle at her own awful joke of sorts and turns her head back toward the monitor slowly, her expression gradually shifting back to neutral.

Tina perks up and clicks somewhere on the screen you can't see, she's not screen sharing. Looking down at a different portion of the screen her eyes scan from left to right and types back. "I know I just have my camera on because I wanted to do some tarot readings for fun! I did one for Andy and I'm hoping someone else comes along for one. Actually are you watching right now?" She starts typing again. Is she sending another message? "and I hope it wouldn't affect it, I pay plenty for my service LOL" She was sending another message. That bitch. And despite her all caps "L-O-L" she doesn't appear to be laughing. Actually was that a smirk?

We already have this thread. But it won't stop me from participating anyway because songs have changed. Tina Kaekel - Anna Lee - When I listened to Revvy Black's theme song it made me just want to hug her and say "it's okay".

DemonoftheSyntheticfall IPC app
Tainavaa replied to Demonofthefall's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've seen Demon play a wide range of characters with a unique persona. A perverted cat, a fatass lizard, and also space Russians among others. I enjoy his characters. He plays them believably and sometimes hilariously. I'd like to see him as an IPC. That isn't the IPC that rapes APC's though so. -
I know. I ask not to bitch about it OOC, but so I can bitch about it IC.
-
But I live in America, where everyone is special and we can all get everything we want and also if you look at me that's rape and possibly murder on a spiritual level. I can feel it already from you. Help, I need a lore dev!
-
Is that a legal requirement in space? Or do people not care about that stuff anymore in the space future?
-
That's not fighting the power properly.

Fight the power.

~@NillaKaek~ Blessed Beltane everyone! Magic at its peak and nowhere to start a fire... LOL Tina Kaekel

Come to think of it, I remember Letz Shake (I think?) had a mute atmospheric technician. I really liked him because he had one hell of a unique look. I don't know what happened to him but he was played very well. I don't think anyone had a problem with him.
-
It's okay. I've been told I can't play the game a certain way, too. I've also noticed the bias regarding certain issues as well.

In cross training right now and loving it. Seriously though, yeah. A lot of what I see isn't that far fetched. Honestly I don't even care personally if someone goes back and forth between medical and security. I wouldn't do it but yeah. People are very strict on capability for some reason. If an atmos tech knows enough to install an air alarm, they know enough to figure out what wires do what in a door. They're both electrical work and while they may not know initially it would be significantly easier for them to learn and it isn't outside the realm of learning in a relatively short amount of time if you weren't cross trained. I maintain that Aurora needs a drink. I'll get the rum.

I don't understand the point of that video. Is it just like, here's a few facts about Venus and why its better than Mars but also it sucks worse than Mars?

Are you saying Tina is Lindsey Lohan?

[Accepted] Interstellar Crime Network
Tainavaa replied to a topic in Lore Canonization Applications Archive
I would love to have Prophet involved in this -
The idea of bard's tales for present lore is very appealing to me but most people are understandably god awful with the in game instruments and not being able to hear the tempo, rhythm, tone and such is no fun. I'm personally not a fan of the YouTube video linking. But. I can always dream though... I can always dream...

Personally I just play without worrying about interaction. When I first started playing I rarely got interaction and I generally only get interaction from characters I've grown to know over time even now. Sometimes I'll get someone new to come along and it can be really fun but I definitely don't count on it. Whatever happens, happens really. It might just not be any fault of your own, its how people are. Give it some time and weasel your way in some scenarios I would think. But subtly.
