I completely agree. And I remember that particular event being a huge deal on the station and everybody was talking about it IC. It was cool, and it felt like the station had an ongoing story and their actions meant something. But I still feel the need to restrain myself from anything that might be improper because I am CONVINCED I'm going to get in trouble. So. Swat has a similar issue, and I'm sure others do as well. It's a relief to me that you see what was happening back then, because that's how I saw it and still see it. And it still pisses me off. And it was hilarious what you did. But I was almost certain that I would get in trouble as well as LOOC rants as I'm accustomed to when doing something in security somebody doesn't like. I think you're already well acquainted with the "hardsuit redistribution" thing. I discussed this with Skull last night and I trust he'll keep his word on opening it up to admins for deliberation, and I hope the administration can agree that the situation isn't black and white after. There is also the complaint from Skull about how Tina behaved as HOP after - as Rechkalov describes it - THE THING. The past few days, I've played Anna Lee quite a bit. There are many situations where prisoners were just being pieces of shit and constantly pushed Anna's buttons. I would LOVE to have abused them, possibly killed one in particular just because how much of a shit they were being. She even made threats to him vaguely alluding to it. However OOC, I was very careful not to invoke the ire of the admins. I was certain even if I harmbatoned one that she was angry at and they were being ornery, I would get bwoinked. You played one of those shits, which I'm sure was your intent. I know you were an antagonist but even if you weren't I thought it was fine roleplay. Nothing wrong with it. Anna just wanted to hit you, and I was afraid to OOC because of administrative intervention. Then there is the incident where I DID get bwoinked after throwing a flashbang. Anna Lee is a mission-oriented, results-driven person. Refering to the bare-knuckle boxing ring in the bar, there were quite a few spectators that were equal to in number - or greater in number than - the officers present. They all wanted the fight to go on. Honestly I wish it was allowed, I was going to try and hold bets under the table and I think that would have been awesome. But it wasn't. Two fighters still trying to fight. Spectators trying to argue to let it go. So I did the first thing you do in that situation. You assert control. Flashbang. "GRIEF!" they screamed in LOOC. "Wow," says an expert. I ignore it, and continue my business. I was bwoinked soon after about what I did. Thankfully the admin was understanding about it and let it go. The point is, I was bwoinked about something that should have been dealt with entirely IC. I can't just play the game.

But here's the thing. "I just want to fucking play" answers that question just fine. I can't just play. I have to second guess everything I do because I might just get bwoinked. I can't just play. That's what I want, but I'm not allowed.

I just want to fucking play. That's what I expect.

As a mainly medical player, I disagree entirely. If I'm given a legitimate reason to come into medical I let them in but the ratio of 'barging in for legitimate security reasons' and 'barging in for anything else' by a member of security is fairly low. While people are pretty wrong about security, that is one thing I have to say people are NOT wrong about. And this is for everyone, not just security. People just fucking love being in the medical bay.

This is exactly how I murdered a hardsuited detective with his own gun as a naked prisoner. Good times. It's also exactly the reason why I never let a detainee get within arms length of me if I believe they'll just try and push me down. It's grounds for an immediate stun/flash. I've been called shitcurity because of it.

I was informed of the FAX however Terrence was pushing for the wizard to not let be on the station at all. I did actually have an armed guard to be with Jishna that time and when I didn't do what Terrence wanted and as hard as he tried to get the station to run the way he wanted it he just faxed Central. I complied as best I could without just letting him and I know he's been sending biased reports to CC. He was just doing everything in his power to get the station to run how he wants it run. And I think that's a problem with Terrence Frank, he either doesn't know his bounds or willingly abuses his position as IA to try and exceed his powers and run the station. During the round, he referred to the station as 'his'. It seems he thinks because he's a representative of Central Command that he's the highest authority on the station. And this isn't the only round where he's displayed this, I remember a round where he attempted to bribe Tina to let him have access to the personal PDA messaging server (I dunno if that was admin-approved) without getting proper authorization from Central first. I also remember a round a while ago where I fired someone for being a continuous shitter in the medbay being defiant, vandalising it, not listening to a damn thing I said, etc. and he tailed me about faxing Central Command demanding I rehire him. I didn't listen but damn was it annoying. And in this particular instance I know he's been sending biased reports to CC and interpreting them to his whim. In that particular fax, it does suggest she can be there while under supervision which I already had. However being the only head onboard, I was very busy and had text flooding the chatbox so I didn't spend too much time trying to make sense of it, I more or less just took Terrence for his word on the interpretation of the fax.

Maybe it's just me because I put emphasis on principles, but part of the point with him reverting back to his old behaviors is that he has not really changed. Maybe it IS an improvement, maybe it's just that I didn't piss him off that badly compared to other people. I don't know. I just know he had a deal with the admins, and he failed to keep it. I'm not personally pushing for a ban, I'm content with the one warning from Valkrae; that's giving him a bit more leniency than was originally bargained for. However it appears Skull is thinking about a reban, and that's a decision I support as well.

I was not personally offended by it. I ignored it and had a laugh about Haruspex. It's a matter of principle, not emotion. There was an agreement, and it was broken. He failed to keep his end of the deal.
