  1. Let me tell you about a magical story. I play Winston Carton, and when he started I wanted him to be that nice sec officer who had a bad temper when someone was able to piss him off. It was going well, and even a few people said "Wow I really like Winston" I was so happy. Three shifts later I wanted to put a gun in my mouth, because if you even looked at certain people the wrong way you got ranted at. My personal favorite is when people come up, Like Matthews the engineer, and just insult me when they get bored knowing that I can't hit back. Another favorite is the ten minute stand offs I have to have when someone does something stupid but not stupid enough for me to baton them, or they just hide behind a door I can't get through. Because then I have to stand there, and try explaining why they are being arrested to a flurry of "Go fuck your mother, go fuck your father, go suck a dick" and after about ten minutes of a person not listening, you tend to want to crack their skulls open. Around seven shifts in, Carton had been insulted, abused, stabbed a few times, etc etc. He just stopped trying to be a nice guy, and he has slowly turned worse and worse as people have treated him worse and worse. Now he is beating a person if they waste more then ten minutes of his time for calling his mother a whore because he just is tired of everyone's shit and has a serious anger problem. Magical thing though, Dun dun dun. Every Sec Officer has the same story! 1) Started out nice, trying to help the people 2) People treat the sec officer like shit, but he tries 3) People kick the sec officer in the balls, either literally or metaphorically 4) Sec officer now hates the station, now is asshole There is no Shitcurity that is born. Shitcurity is made by the people it protects.
  2. This. Even better then a whitelist. I can imagine it now, a nuke round without all the lag and the blowing up and the bodies. Oh god, It sounds beautiful.
  3. Ah. The riddle itself will not help you find the killer, it only tells you the order in which people will die with the occasional hint of who is still alive by a certain point. The killer is using the riddle for a purpose that we will learn at the end of the story. That being said, The activities is a good way to narrow down your suspects, but that leaves about....2-3 people still. So, there are big clues to who the killer is in every chapter as we go along, but they...aren't as obvious. There are many red herrings as well, so some of the things that could be clues could be there to trip you up. Overall, I say pay attention more to the dialogue of the characters, what the characters know, and if you know their jobs, that would help a bit as well. But here, let me show you a example of what I have done. These are the following clues that hinted towards Rudy was the one to "Get lost in space" -Rudy is a miner, and as such is usually exposed the cold embrace of space - Rudy told Tony to "Not let the doors hit him on the way out", again you might not have caught that, you might have caught it. While that is quite hard to think "Oh that means he is going to die next chapter", it was a subtle hint to him being sucked out. -Rudy was a red herring, and with his long criminal history, was not bound to last extremely long Now that is not a lot of clues, as its a little hard for me to go farther into detail without giving you hints to the killer. It will not be easy to guess who the killer is, but I am proud to say that one person has successfully gathered all the clues so far and shown me their evidence to who they think the killer is and guessed it correctly. I will be honest though, the more characters there are, the less clues you have been getting who who will die next, so starting next chapter there will be many more for you to narrow down the killer that way. But I do ask, just look at what you know about the killer so far, every detail is chosen for a reason.
  4. Ah, then I apologize. I thought you were going after me and I got defensive, I apologize for my reaction then.
  5. Yes, it is. Not good, especially if there's noone in engineering or medical (or security, but that's less common), but better than 10v5. As for shortening it to only require 12 people, what would that accomplish? Other than someone getting pissed when only 11 people readied for a nuke round? Besides, nuke sucks even worse than usual when there aren't enough people to do it right. And if you're sore about people not readying for a round they don't want to play just to make your dreams of a bomb-happy rampage through a mostly empty station a reality... well, I am saying "man up". Now I remembering why I am fighting this now. Funny thing, everyone just saying "Its going to be a bomb happy rampage" its "Going to be a murder spree". You know, Im so glad you know how exactly I play nuke, because I always just rush right in and only think about bombing the station. I am pleased you know my work. It's not like I have: -Tried to break into virology and create a virus, and telling the crew I was doing this so that they may prepare for the coming virus and have a interesting hostage situation in Virology -Tried hostage situations with no explosives used -Tried a sadistic game show using prisoners we captured from the station as Prizes for the crew who completed their task -Tried to break into the bridge to call another cell of the Syndicate, though this one was not my idea it was a plan I did try with Delta -Tried to trick the Odin into blowing up the Aurora by pretending to be CC -Sat in the shuttle and shit talked when I don't believe a plan will help RP in any way I have also been complimented on three different occasions on the way I /don't/ kill people in a nuke round. You see, I actually think about the players on the other side, so instead of shooting to kill I have actually let people go, captured prisoners and funny thing, even died because of my refusal to outright kill people. Though this has changed recently due to the amount of Rambo's I have had to kill for obvious reasons. If for some reason, there is a plan though like blow the station up and kill everyone and the team won't listen to me, fun fact, I sit in the shuttle and shit talk. The entire round. I won't be apart of killing the entire station, so I sit there and refuse to help in anyway. So in total, if you could stop saying and assuming that the only reason I am arguing is: " don't want to play just to make your dreams of a bomb-happy rampage' I would really appreciate it. Because while many do this, there are some of us who don't and I be happy to list them if needed. Which is why I think we need a whitelist, as no one enjoys just blowing up the station, its not fun. That way, we don't have people who only go to blow up the entire station, while we don't have so many...negative views towards a game mode thus causing huge debates like this.
  6. It was, at least in the second vote, 9 for nuke, and 8 against nuke. A single vote isn't exactly a "landslide". I do think the voting system should be changed, but that's a topic for a different thread. That I remember, It was eight against nuke to 9, but it was also eight split up between secret, extended and I believe...one wizard? Maybe. But I did not actually count them against nuke, so I will retract the "Landslide" comment in that case, as I didn't add them all up.
  7. Yeah, see, here's the thing. I was one of the many people who did not ready? Do you know why? Because I hate playing nuke. I'm not going to ready just so that other people can have their ganky armourybombing mode while I sit around having no enjoyment whatsoever. It is my right to not play nuke, as well as it is your right to not play any other gamemode. Only 14 people readied up for that round, meaning that only that many people wanted to play. How long do you expect people to sit in the pre-game lobby? After 10 minutes, I think it's perfectly acceptable to change the gamemode to secret. I think I'm not making my point clear here, as I am starting to sound like I am saying "Man up and deal with it" instead of what I was trying to say. I understood why you didn't ready up, and to some degree I agreed with you. But the method of which you did it I did not agree with it. Maybe it's not even that, I just thought it was wrong how 10 people or more, I don't remember exactly how many voted for nuke and it won by a landslide. 4 others readied up and had high hopes that maybe it would not suck complete dick that round. Even if you had readied up and went Cryo so you didn't have to play the round, I don't think it would turn into this. I think it was wrong that even though it won by a landslide, they were forced to do something that they didn't vote for because of two people. You have every right not to play nuke, and I don't want to sound like too much of a dick because I do respect both your opinions on the matter, so apologies if I come off like that, but when one or two people don't want to do something and change the round type like that instead of just going cyro and letting the people enjoy their one hour long round , I don't know, it feels wrong to me. But I do apologize if I have come off as rude or dickish at all.
  8. That being said though, just thought of this. Nuke has become a round for murder boners, meta, etc etc. So while I am defending heavily one side, I do understand why people would not vote for it. So at the very least, I think there should be whitelist for Nuke ops or something, as I am pretty tired of some of the shit that does happen during nuke rounds and do understand why people do not ready up. I may have been a bit harsh in the previous statement, but I did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings just was being rather blunt.
  9. I really enjoyed this response, truly did. "Except you're not being forced to play secret or extended" Then could you kindly explain last night, when nuke got voted twice and due to two people refusing to ready up it was changed to secret with no vote, and was the reason this thread was made? "You can leave any time you want and go play another game, just like I do whenever nuke is successfully voted in. And admins don't force a gamemode, they make a new vote" I could and I did, but doesn't make it anymore right that two people didn't want to play a gamemode so on one could. That's not democracy, democracy is when we all vote and the majority decides, when two people decided that a a entire lobby does not get to play the game that won, then its not democracy. It would be like Florida refusing to vote because the presidential candidate that is winning is the one they don't like, so they decide that as long as they don't vote he can't be sworn in. " If something you don't like is voted in, welcome to democracy. You don't have to play." Again, at least last night, it wasn't democracy. The admin just went 'Were doing secret now" despite nuke winning twice, because two people! "Democracy" "You pick a niche game mode that not everyone wants to play and then bitch if it doesn't go through because not everyone wanted to play it. " What a strong opinion, while it's not mine nor is it mine about extended, many people would make the same argument about the three hours they have to go through with extended. So really, that's not a argument to use, because everyone does it for every kind of round. "The 'majority' isn't what you're making it up to be. We operate on first past the post democracy. If extended gets 13 votes and nuclear gets 14, nuclear wins on one vote." http://www.thefreedictionary.com/majority While you could argue a few things with the link I just posted, let me just use this: 1. The greater number or part If you like to argue the second part of that definition, I am pretty sure that is referring between two things, not 10 game modes. " Don't pitch your sob story when you clearly don't understand how the voting system works." I'm not pitching any sob story. If you want me to be frank, I'm just really tired of listening to everyone complain about a game mod they don't like. I didn't realize I was in pre school when I joined. You see, when I lose a vote I don't cry and shout, I ready up and play the round and think "Well Ill try my game mode again next round". But I guess next time I don't like something Ill just tell everyone who voted with me in OOC not to ready up so no one gets to play what they want, since thats just "democracy". I mean if I can't play what I want then no one can, right? "All you need is a single more vote to beat everyone else. And if 15 people vote nuke and all the people who voted nuke don't ready, that's not my fault.." That's right. Just like how in the electoral college you just need one more vote then the other guy, or any smaller base election you just need one more vote. People may not be happy, but it's true, though in real elections it would take multiple re-counts and checks to make sure they counted right. "I don't have to play nuke, you don't have to play secret. If you not participating means I can't enjoy revolution, that is the way the cookie crumbles." This attitude reminds me of my seven year old cousin. "I don't like this, so were not playing it"- My little cousin to his friends Funny thing, I'm not saying "Sit there and play it", but for example, last night. When nuke is voted in twice and two people just go "No I don't want to play this, change it" and the admin just goes "Fine, were playing secret now, ten seconds" I tend to get a bad taste in my mouth because I'm reminded of my days in Elementary school. You are right, I don't have to play extended and you don't have to play nuke, I have no problem with that. But when a vote is 10-4 twice in a row and the 4 wins because two of them don't ready up and accept the fact that you do have to play rounds you don't like, that is not democracy. That's selfish. We all had to tough out rounds we don't enjoy, if you think at any point you are in the right for telling people who beat you by a 6+ vote that they can't play this game mode because you don't want too, than you really have some growing up to do. That's not at you specifically sue, as you were not there, just wanted to make that clear.
  10. So, I am no fan of nuke unless we get a fun team. But there seems to be a rather big whole in your argument. The same argument could be made for the nuke players, as for example, we had fourteen players ready and four players were not readying up so the round type was switched to secret. But since you are saying that is ok, you are basically saying "We have no right to force people to play something they don't want to, we being the fourteen players who readied up, but those three people who didn't ready up can since all they have to do is wait long enough and the admin will change the round type to secret or extended thus forcing the majority to play a round type they didn't vote for for more then three hours." or to sum it up "The nuke players have no right too force me to play nuke, but I have every right to force them to play extended or secret"
  11. Eira slowly stood, giving out a small sigh and shaking her head to the crowd. There was no need for words, Robert letting out a low growl. “That’s it. Everyone sit the FUCK down now!” the large man shouted, everyone looking over to him before slowly going to take a seat. “We are going to figure this the fuck out right now, or everyone is going into a damn cell and we wait for CC to find out who is doing this! Understood?” Everyone gave a slow nod, except for Inis, whose eyes were glued to her book as she seemed to be reading something to herself. Dorian Bonds being the first to speak up. “May I just point out that Mr. Carton, at least in his Sec records has a history of violence and has nearly killed a man before…” Eyes darted to Winston, who frowned at the comment and crossed his arms. Not skipping a beat, Eira chipped in with a quiet, almost innocent tone “If I recall correctly from the medical records too Mr. Carton, you pride yourself in your sadism as well?” Winston responded with a low growl, Robert starting to make his way over to Carton before he was interrupted by Eira yet again, with the same innocent like tone. “Tony...isn’t this your first shift back since you were deemed unfit for duty after a few psychological evaluations as well?” Robert froze, looking between the pair as Inis looked up, narrowing her eyes. Robert looking between the two before motioning Tony to come over. “Sit next to Carton...Now.” Tony gave a small nod, going to plop down and cross his arms as Robert looked between the pair. Sabrina silently recorded the conversation, but her eyes were focused on Inis. Silently she thought over the poem. Seven little space men, one joked with some sticks He ripped apart his precious suit, and then there were six She was certain Inis knew something, or that Inis was the killer. But whatever was in that book must have had the answers she was looking for. Getting up, she made her way over to Inis and took a seat next to her, whispering as she listen to Robert interrogate the pair about where they had been during the murders. “If you don’t mind me asking...what’s in the book?” “The riddle” Inis whispered, making Sabrina raise a brow. “Almost figured it out...Very close” Sabrina opened her mouth to talk, when she heard Carton say out loud. “Loosen up Robert, fuck” Sabrina looked over to see Robert a few inches away from Carton’s face, his face dark red as if he was about to lose his mind. When suddenly the lights went out yet again, another loud scream filled the room, this time from a very deep voiced man. The sound of footsteps followed by the sound of the door opening could be heard. After a moment, more footsteps from all over the room could be heard, and when the lights flicked on. Sabrina and Robert were all alone. “Shocking…” Sabrina mumbled, shaking her head at the fact that they had all run off. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inis made her way towards the Chapel. She had it figured out, but she needed to get away from everyone. If the killer had heard what she said to Sabrina, then she would be the next on the list. Sabrina would come looking for her soon, and she could tell her then. If she just stayed in the chapel, no one could come in or out without her knowing, it was the safest place, it had to be. Entering, she took a seat and waited, looking over the poem. It was difficult, but she had finally pieced it all together. The red herrings, the clues, the killer wasn’t just killing them off, they were playing with them. It was a twisted, sadistic game. She heard footsteps approaching, making Inis turn towards the door as a familiar figure entered. The figure smiled at her, tilting their head. “What are you doing in here?” Inis gave a small shrug. “Hiding...safer in here then in the bar…” She said, getting up and backing up towards the door towards the funeral parlor. The figure frowned as they walked up. “Is something wrong?” a slow smile crossing her face, eyes darting down to the book as Inis held it close to her chest. The figure reached into their pocket as she approached, Inis preparing herself to run as the figure quickly drew a flash from their pocket and raised it at Inis, clicking the button. The world went white for Inis as she tried to run, the doors opening as the figure gave chase. Inis tried to let out a scream, but the sudden force of the figure tackling into her, knocking her to the ground. Inis did her best to scream into her comms, but they were quickly yanked off by the figure, who quickly punched her in the face for the trouble they had just experienced. Inis let out a scared cry as the figure slowly stood up. Inis started crawling, doing her best to put distance between herself as the figure reached for something on their belt. Drawing the handle of a energy sword, Inis's eyes widened in horror. The figure suddenly went to swipe the sword across her stomach, ripping open her stomach and her jumpsuit, letting out a bloodcurdling scream as the sword ripped through her. The figure wasted no time, swinging the sword back after a moment of enjoying the screams, cutting her throat open. The killer closed their eyes, smiling sweetly as they listened to the last gurgled sounds of Innis echoed throughout the room of coffins. Finally, it went silent, and the killer looked down to the now blood soaked book. Bending down and picking up the book, she flipped through the book until they found the riddle. Giving a small smirk, the person looked down to Inis and chuckled. “Clever girl.” The figure tucked the book under their arm and slowly made their way towards the maintenance tunnel. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert ran through the hall, Sabrina following behind him as they had heard the scream only a moment before. Stopping in front of the Library, Robert quickly peaked in and saw nothing there, as Dorian and Sabrina charged by, making their way to the Chapel. As she entered, Sabrina could see the familiar shape through the glass of the door leading to the funeral parlor, covering her mouth in shock as she slowly approached. Robert entered slowly and noticed Sabrina’s expression, following behind her and looking down to Inis, cringing. “Fuck...Alright. We know that neither of us are the killer now. We gotta find Carton and Adams now and get them in a cell before someone else dies. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The figure slowly made their way through the maintenance tunnels, entering the arcade room and peeking into the bar to make sure no one was there. Seeing that they were safe, they made their way over to the pictures. A smirk crossing their face. This had almost been a close call, almost being exposed by more than one person in less than a few minutes, but everything was cleared up now. Grabbing Inis’s picture, they slowly ripped it in half before hanging the right half back up, dropping the leftover half to the ground. Putting their hands in their pockets, they slowly started to whistle a song as they exited the bar. Inis Truesight Seven little space men, one joked with some sticks He ripped apart his precious suit, and then there were six
  12. -Snip- Double post.
  13. I am upset Winston is not on here. I need to try harder.
  14. Yeah, I'm going to have to take the blame for this one. I was the one who ordered it and due to it being 4 am and being tired the rule slipped my mind. I realized it soon after but passed out before I could contact admins about what had happened. Also yeah, sorry for the passive aggressive nature, Stein is both a angry person and the fact that we were discovered before even leaving the Syndicate base put me in the state of "fuck it". Overall, it was a honest mistake.

    The List

William Von Tirol- Psych who hates Aurora more then anything else, enjoys debates, hates most of medical. Winston Carton- Detective, Security Officer, bounty hunter under the name "Stein". Loves money.
  16. William Von Tirol -Once viewed his patients as friends and people he could trust, now views them more as broken machines he needs to fix -Once gave a man a hug because he asked, he was then beaten and locked in a locker for the rest of the shift -Has a deep hatred for most of Medical, minus Crystal Brooks and Samantha Mason -Is very down on himself, ironic since his job is to make other people feel better about themselves - Has a dislike of other psychs, believing they can not help his patients as much as he could -Has been known to try "Extreme therapy" by making patients face their fears -Once got the greasers out of prison by labeling them all as "Insane" and promising to watch them Winston Carton -Is a sadist and enjoys having power over people at all times, shows more when he is "Stein" -Attending therapy for Sadistic nature as of late -Has a soft spot for animals and robots -Enjoys bounty hunting -Has no loyalty to anyone, literally selling out to anyone if the pay is enough -has beaten a man into a coma during a shift -Has a hidden love of literature, and quotes it often -Has a huge anger problem, which comes out when one of the two people he actually cares about is even insulted - Is a terrible shot -Is extremely lucky in the sense that, despite many shifts gone wrong, he has been able to cling to life...barely
  17. That was kind of just his "thing." Anyone who does something they're not supposed to is a bad man. The engineer who kept yelling at him to give the mangled gloves he found on the ground? He was a baaaad man. Doctor locked him in the surgery freezer? Baaaad man. People in the bridge with combat gloves turning off the power? Baaaad men. And that 'setting you on fire' thing was an overcharged flash that I discovered in that exact moment set people on fire. I had it in my pocket because I'd been wondering why in the world you can modify flashes, and so I just kind of used it on impulse. Mind - it did a pretty sizable chunk of damage to me too. In any case, this is why I don't like nuke rounds to begin with. It's not that it's impossible to play and have everyone involved in the fun, it's that it's really fucking hard if things don't go exactly according to plan (hint: they won't.) We can't assume people are going to be reasonable because, as you said, security likes to rush in waving batons and tasers. We have to go to lengths to put ourselves in situations where people can cool their heels and actually enjoy a moment to chat. Until we get some sort of better hostage system in place (doubtful) then a hostage scenario short of a large-scale bomb threat won't exactly work. The closest thing I can figure in a nuke round is to have the nuke team impersonate the crew and wipe out the manifest so no one can SAY there's no crew. Of course, that means getting on the bridge is going to be difficult unless someone's impersonating a head of staff, which is significantly more difficult than impersonating an assistant or an engineer. I can't help but feel like part of this is also falling on the heads of security and the captains in such a scenario. If these guys really do rush in without a word, someone should say something to their superiors. If you work for a bank, they actually instruct you to meet the robber's demands - if you play hero, even if you get the bad guy, you get fired. I'd like to see an atmosphere like that here as well, or something that will break the tension in every player's mind. "Here we go, another nuke round." Im just going to say that I truly appreciate this answer, as all my questions were answered involving the Janitor. I have to agree though, everyone want's to be a hero or wants to win. Until we get a hostage system or people understand the consequences of their actions, I have come to the conclusion that my method of "Killing this person would be bad RP, so I will let them live despite them causing me problems" is no longer the case. I mean in that round alone Stein was: Set on Fire Shot with both lasers and regular bullets Stabbed sucked out into space with a bad suit Starving But all I did was go for the injury, because it was better for the RP. At this point, I think the only answer is that if Sec and civilians want to try and be a hero, want their picture in the paper and want all the fame that comes with stopping terrorist, then, we, as terrorist should respond as many terrorist would instead of thinking about the player on the other side (( Who is clearly not thinking about us as players), and Blow their fucking brains out. At this point, I think I'm speaking for those who usually play Nuke ops not to win, but to create interesting RP. We are tired of the meta. We are tired of the wannabe hero. We are tired of putting all this effort in just to get fucked when step 1 of the 9 step plan happens. From now I, I think when we see a sec officer, we shoot to kill. When we see a head, shoot to kill. Civilians? Hostages, meat shields. This is the only solution I can think of unless we get a better hostage system, is that we must act with the same amount of force we have been receiving. I just simply see no other option we can do unless we want to keep taking 2 hours to plan something that is new and original only to be fucked ten minutes into the plan because someone "Has a feeling" or someone "Saw something suspicious".
  18. Alias: Stein has transferred 5000 credits for 25% of the company, if personal information is needed, email will follow.
  19. I like Barge, so Im not really pushing for like..a punishment against him but let me just say this: Fuck this round. Let me just make a nice list of points on why this round has made me think "Fuck trying to RP on nuke, why not just rush the disc and blow these dirty dirty fucks up" 1) 1 hour 45 minutes of prep time was spent getting every last detail for this plan set. How long were we on the station before things went to shit? Ten minutes. Even less if you consider the moment our two "CC" reps teleported onto the bridge the Janitor screamed "Bad men! Bad bad bad men!" 2) I like to question why the jantior screamed out "Bad men" both were wearing the usual CC uniform, now had he shouted out "Strange men" or "Men just teleported on the bridge, help!" that is one thing, but it was immediately "BAD!", but you know things can be assumed and I can't say I wouldn't do the same. 3) One of my personal favorites, so we fake a message over the command channel, the AI and the Captain hear this message and the Captain tells us: "Permission granted to board" So we send our two reps in, and things are going well until the HOS who is played by Xander joins. What went wrong you may ask? How about the AI going right to the HOS and saying "There are two intruders on the bridge" and making it sound like we didn't get the Captains permission to be there. Suddenly the bridge is surrounded and our two CC officials have guns in their faces. 4) From the CC perspective, I have no idea, maybe the AI had a right to say that because maybe one of them fucked up and said something stupid, pulled out a gun, whatever. Overall, the situation turned to shit and Me ((Stein)) and the two others teleported in. We were sent to the wrong place so we had to fight our way to the bridge, once arriving we took control of a hallway. Low and behold this would be our greatest mistake because fuck everyone. First we ran into Dorian Bonds, who with three guns pointed at him, laid on the ground. We then took a cadet hostage and set them in the position where we could fire upon them if needed, fire upon any doors of anyone trying to rescuse them, and take cover ourselves. A shitty situation that quickly turned into our favor. Why do I say that? Because being left alone with two hostages and being able to fight off the captain and two sec guards (( with a assist from the janitor and his cleaning grenades knocking them down)), the detective and another security guard, I was doing pretty well. Even got them to waste a flash grenade on me. Now, I see the Janitor and I scream for him to get down. He just screamed "I need to clean" and I thought "Wow, I should really kill this player for ignoring my request, but I dont want to be a dick and ruin their RP, so I wont" and instead, they got away. I should have killed them. Why? Because a few moments later, the gun fight with the detective and a sec guard breaks out, and its interrupted by two-three cleaning grenades being thrown into the mix. I slip and fall, and I see the janitor run past Sec, dragging one of my fellow nuke ops who is in cuffs behind him. He runs up, stops. Lights me on fire. and runs. Getting up I ran to the pool and in rage started bitching in the OOC. That was probably wrong of me but I eventually contacted Admins and got a heal for the fucking gank. From there, I lost my weapons and one of my guns, which leaves me with three shots of a energy carbine. I find a assistant and attempt to take me hostage, and he gets on the ground. I think "Wow, maybe this will finally work out for me" and while I have a gun pointed at him, he apparently found my other gun, got up, shot me a few times, then taunted me while Sec arrived. I ran out of ammo at this point and ran, and escaped into Maintenance. Chapter 5: "Fuck off" Now I'm in maintence, breaking all the windows as to create lack of air and seal off part of the station. I hear a rumble, and low and behold king matt fucking blew up our entire fucking nuke team who was inches away from the fax machine, our goal from the beginning. A few moments later, my friendly PAI is killed, leaving poor Stein alone on the station. I have a little good Rp with a few of them, I like to say I enjoyed the small talk I had with both Houssam and Mason. Eventually, I make my way to the ERT shuttle, thinking I can steal it. Oh, wait, I find out I cant because I dont have my /fucking/ tools anymore as they were lost when the /fucking janitor set me on fucking fire/. Angry, I steal a body bag and leave, ditching my gear and hiding myself in the body bag. From there its the waiting game, and I am found by Susan Greenwood. She agrees to help me and drags me to escape, leaving me there to come and get me later. Sadly, it seems God/Karma/Buddah/ whatever you believe decided "Fuck Josh" and a huge surge of people returned from the science outpost. They discovered me, and a ERT trooper walks in. They cover for me, I guess they felt bad for me and I appreciate that. I walk in the middle of their crowd, and the only thing making me really stand out is the lack of shoes. Suddenly I hear the ERT Trooper shout out "You!" Because nothing is going right today, I sigh in defeat and make my way over. He ask's me where my shoes went, I said I went SSD in the chaos and woke up on the ground, no shoes and My ID was gone, but Zach (( one of the people helping me)) had gotten it for me. He ask to see it, and Zach gives me his ID by mistake. After explaining this to the trooper, I give him the ID of a dead engineer, Xiulle. I'm given a pair of boots by someone and the ERT Soldier goes "You look good, alright you can go" "Wait" "Come with me" At this point, I had given up any hope so I walked over. They start questioning me, and start doing a background check. They even use the Medical hud to match my face to Xiulle's picture, despite about 5 members of crew telling them I am the engineer. Funny thing, the most I saw of other people being searched was the CE's helmet being forced off before he was let go. I was the /only/ person whose ID was questioned at all, and who was having a entire background check done on them. Eventually they go "You don't have any security records" and one even said to me, and this was my favorite part. "We don't have a Stein in the medical records", not only did I ditch my Stein ID and PDA, there was nothing to tell them that I was Stein. They asked me about the hair and the mechanical limb, I explained I dyed it and got it cut, and had recently lost the hand and records must not have been updated. But despite witnesses and all that shit, Im taken in because my security record doesn't exist and I am arrested for terrorist. I started questioning the ERT in LOOC along with Jennalele about how they are arresting me solely on the fact that I had no record. I was met with responses of "They have pictures on the ID's" and that "Witnesses don't matter when you don't have records". Thing is? Why the fuck did I have a entire background check done on me. They told me they were "Checking everyone who walked into Escape". So you are telling me, of the...thirty people in escape already, when I walked in with about 9 others, they had scanned all their faces, made sure every person in that group had both medical and Security records, matched the description of those records, and let them go while spotting me out of the middle of the crowd? Here is my questions at this point: Why the fuck did the AI tell the fucking HOS there were intruders on the bridge after hearing we had permission to be there? Why the fuck did the Janitor run up and set me on fucking fire while dragging one of my operatives away never to be fucking seen again? Why the fuck did King matt blow up our entire Nuke team? Why the fuck did the ERT team choose me out of the crowd to do a entire background check on despite numerous witnesses claiming I was him? And if it was the picture thing, why have I never seen any other antags arrested when they pose as someone else (( because I have seen Antags like Nuke ops steal Crew's ID's and they never had this bullshit with a picture that I never heard of being on a ID being the reason they were arrested)), If you were able to scan everyone in escape, how did you pick me out of a crowd of eight or nine so quickly? Why was I, from what I saw and what a few others saw, the only one who was asked to give a ERT their ID? Why was the ID I gave them looked over so much, while everyone else in the group who was with me allowed to keep looking without having to even show their ID? Why was I quizzed so much on the person I claimed to be while, yet again, no one else in my group was quizzed? Because at the end of the day, I think its all bullshit. I'm tired of trying to do creative shit so people can at least have a interesting time in Nuke, from now on? Ill just fucking blow up all of Sec, Ill fucking blow up Cargo. Then Ill lead the entire team in and with no RP we will just fucking shoot anyone we come across. Why? Because every time I try to RP something, bullshit happens. I been Sec during a nuke round and the fucking meta is ridiculous, at this point as a joke during Nuke rounds I start fucking with shit just to have Sec freak out and have three armed guards rushed to arrivals over a open locker. (( True story)) Every time something good happens in Nuke, someone takes a fucking shit on us. I had one of the best Rp's with Imraj where he was trying to talk Winston down from shooting himself after Winston was revealed as a Traitor, and all of a sudden sec rushes in, ignoring my gun and ignorning Imraj and beats me down with a stun baton, No RP. I seen entire Nuke teams wiped out by Sec running in with stun batons and just simply ignoring the guns they have pointed at them to be a hero. I seen Sec arm up over a open locker because they were not sure who opened that locker. I see civilians scream that someone isn't on the fucking manifest before we even start any trouble. I am /tired/ of the bullshit. So people want to be fucking dick's and just think of themselves, think only about winning instead of fucking Roleplay. Then I will fucking start playing to win. I will make people /fucking hate nuke/ even more then they do now. Every fucking mission will be blow the fucking armory, blow cargo, take over the AI, hold station hostage. I'll run that shit like a military fucking drill, and I will have Stein fucking shit talk every single fucking character until you all want to kill me OOC. Because at this point, why should we put so much fucking effort into a plan when we are just going to get ganked, rambo'd and have people meta against us. Edit: Can you tell Im a bit frustrated?
  20. "Stein" has bought 20% for 800 credits. Details will be sent in email if required.
  21. of course, my memory is not the best, but I do believe it has been twice. But the evidence that makes me say that is because its brought up often and I could have sworn I saw it at least twice. Of course, I could be wrong, if this is true then just change it to once.
  22. Can I just add that, at one time Apophis was a officer that I thought "Wow, he doesn't suck at his job". At this point, I have lost all respect for Apophis, and the fact that he gets HOS so often when we don't have a HOS (( While I know its thanks to Houssam more then likely)), is ridiculous. In the past few weeks, Apophis has shot me and multiple other officers, tried to have us arrested, and tried to act like a HOS when we have one. Apophis is someone I actually dread seeing on the register at this point, and after yesterday when Apophis approached my character and said "You look like a faggot", I had to ask Matt "Do you even take RP seriously anymore" to which he replied "Sometimes". Let me just make a small list of why I don't think Apophis should be a sec officer, let alone HOS: Shot multiple officers with weapons, me in the face twice, one with with my own pistol and once with his laser rifle. I get that everyone occassionally makes mistakes, fuck I even set a EMP off in the brig by mistake once, but I heard its been happening to at least 4 other officers on multiple occassions. Now, this is something IC But he does try to act as HOS when he is officer often, trying to give me and multiple other officers orders and threatening to brig us or take our headsets for small things such as language. That being said, this is a IC issue and should be handled IC, Im just adding it. I have small counts of meta gaming too, such as when my character put on a Captain's swat helmet he found in the break room, me and a fellow officer were talking when King matt said in LOOC "Thats the captain's helmet, take it from him" and not even a few seconds later the officer pointed out it was the captains helmet and told me to take it off. I didn't Ahelp it because it wasn't a big deal but at this point, Kingmatt is truly just abusing his power as a Sec officer. ALL THAT BEING SAID. I am a big supporter of handling IC issues ((Such as this imo)) IC. Which I have been doing for a few weeks now, so I am just kindly asking that while this round was rather bad, I believe my method of handling things (( Which will be shown to the entire server via the forums in give or take a week, well part 1 at least)) is more suited towards this task. While I was rather harsh on matt, I have seen him RP and he is not as bad as I made him sound, and he can be skilled when he cares, so I kindly ask we wait judgement on Apophis for at least a week while I work on my things IC and present them by...this friday?
  23. Well this is going to be fun. If I may weigh in: OOC Jackboot: While I don't know what exactly happened here, I do know Jackboot has said OOC things before. As he yelled at me for saying something IC but thats neither here nor there and not something I dwell on, just pointing out that when he finds something finds upsetting he makes it known. OOC Meow: I was all on your side until you admitted towards your feelings about those detectives. While, I agree, Detectives should not be on the front line, let me give you a magical scenario I have dealt with many times when I play detective: *About three security sit in the lobby, two patrol until about 45 minutes, while I sit in my office and wait for the call for a detective that never comes, occassionally going to play basketball.* So! Occasionally I walk around, and I do patrol and when I come across something I stop the situation and call Security. But by the sound of it, since you don't like that I should just sit in my office or sit in the back of Sec and be the moral support. Your attitude is what makes me angry about playing detective, because if we followed those rules we have no rp, and no one to talk too. Why? Because I have sec officers who walk through blood, Sec officers who do their own interrogations and Sec officers who can do their job better then me, or so they think. So how about you play Detective a few rounds and play it your way, then complain about why the Detective might want to walk around. That being said, I'm not saying Detectives need cuffs, they don't need to be the one making arrest. Usually I just call Sec and let them take over the situation once they arrive, and I suggest any detective do the same. Case in point: You are right about the cuffs, but don't you dare complain about a Detective walking around. You sit in a office all shift with no one coming to talk to you because no one needs you for three hours then think about it. IC: I hate hate hate hate hate this the most in the world is when someone who is not staff tells another player that what they are doing IC is wrong. If its breaking a rule and you are warning them, that's fine. But if you don't like how someone plays detective, how someone is in command, how someone is running a mafia and you are IC aware of it, HANDLE IT IC. FFS. Every time I see a thread commenting "Well this character did this so they are shitty", no. No. No. If you think a character should be fired, you got to the IAA and you show them the evidence, like what I do and like what every other reasonable RPer would do. You don't bring it to a thread and point out "This character should not be here", because not only are you fucking and embarrassing that person, you are fucking anyone who is related to that character. Here is what you should do: Step 1: Think "Wow, this person sure is doing a shitty job" Step 2: Wait for IAA Dorian Bonds or just as good person to get on board Step 3: Go to IAA, file complaint Step 4: If you went to Dorian bonds, or another good IAA, they /will continue a investigation over multiple shifts/ Step 5: Said IAA will then message CC, aka the admins, and with evidence stacked against them then something will be done. But instead, we are here. Point is, if you don't like how a character talks, how a character does their job, or how a character demands a belt for something, you bring it to the IAA, or conduct your own investigation and send it to CC. If you think Jack shooting someone was too much? Well that's grounds for a investigation and a lot of fun, interesting RP, fuck you might even be the one to take down his mafia. What a cool thing to do IC. Instead we are here. Point is, IC Problem? Handle it IC unless its serious. Not being upset about how someone does their job.
  24. +1 for the Hi Mom. Also because good rper and such.
  25. Fuck it, Winston Carton?
