To be honest, as someone who handled the applications. They're not that hard to get, staff will give you feedback if denied anyway, you fix the issue and you'll likely get accepted. So it's not like it's a massive barrier to RP, and while all heads of staff aren't perfect, from experience I can say we have better staff on average with this system than we would without it

Hoi guise. This is something, that has been brewing within me for quite a long time, which I believe is evident due to my lack of being on-server as of late. My hours on-server have tanked as a result of IRL issues that have overwhelmed me in recent days, I generally don't feel like dealing with people anymore, and I've made a major decision in my life that will make it basically impossible for me to continue on SS-13, let alone Aurora. I'm going to talk about some rather personal things here, because I have a close friendship with quite a few of the players and I wouldn't feel right just abandoning the server and vanishing. For anyone who doesn't know, I have a terminal disease known as Huntington's disease or Huntington's Chorea. This is a degenerative neurological disorder that is increasingly making my life unpleasant as of late. If you're unfamiliar, near the end of the condition (Which I'm not really near) it makes life....not fun, with an individual losing their ability to take care of themselves. This is something that I'm not cool with, I'm a rather independent personality and I can't really stand the idea of losing that ability. I don't think that's life. I'm going to resign here, probably do anything left in life that I really care to do, probably until December or there-about and then I'm going to make use of a Service known as Dignitas (No not the gaming team). I want to wish everyone that I've had the pleasure of playing with, enjoying the game with, and simply spending time with, a good life, good times and many, many more good SS-13 rounds. (And this post is completely unrelated to my complaint. I'm just fucking horrible with timing.)

Right, as I said. It was just an issue I was bringing up due to me believing it was an issue that should be addressed. Cresc explained the situation and why it happened. Good enough for me, and with the positive qualities that, everyone else said she has I think she's be fine for the team. +1

I honestly don't think any more examples are needed, nor warranted. She freely admitted that disagreements make her sad, I didn't coerce her into saying this, nor did anyone else. She literally didn't talk to me for a number of days due to her "Feeling shitty" over this small disagreement. Let me make this clear. I don't do this because I dislike Crescentise. I quite like her actually. I do this because this is an issue about her that needs to be handled, either by her overcoming this particular issue and being a better person for it or with this application being denied, anyone who can't accept a disagreement really, really wouldn't fit in the lore team.

Let me preface this by saying the following. I love Crescentise, she's a delightful person and a wonderful friend of mine, in addition to being a great RPer. I agree with the above that she's approachable, rather kind and otherwise friendly. However. She'd not be great as a Lore-developer. Why you ask? Because the Lore-dev chat is a chat filled with discussions, disagreements on sections of the lore, and occasionally arguments about the lore. And Crescentise can't handle disagreements. I learned that simple fact during a private conversation with Crescentise, where we were discussing the Lore team. Specifically Erik being added/not added. She thought Erik should be added, I disagreed. And this ensued. (cropping around a couple of things I said, I don't particularly care to offend anyone) No matter how kind, approachable or creative an individual is, if they're on a team that OFTEN has the possibility of disagreements and discussion in-which differing ideas are exchanged, and that individuals cannot interact in a mature manner under these conditions. Then that individual should not be on that team.

Very few of these are actually my sprites, most of them are a collection from various sources, Bay-12, /TG/, Paradise, etc. I claim credit on few of these, though I can't remember the artist for most of them. Look back regularly, I will update as I get less lazy. Clothing Machinery
