I'm honestly in agreement with you. I've seen Travis Davis do a tremendous amount of different things, teleporting people with Bluespace, Xenobiology, Atmos, Engineering, R&D and at-least once Robotics. And when confronted he just goes "HE HAS NO SOCIAL LIFE. IT'S ALRIGHT" or "I'VE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE DO WORSE". And I just don't see how this is excusable

Because. This is a pretty great race concept, and developing takes time, effort and coders. And given that our existing race 'project' has made..0 progress. I think it's better to port over a race that people want that'll take (comparatively) little effort, than sit here with what we have just because "It's not our code!"

I'm all for tearing down Tajarans, Unathi and Skrell to rework them into better species. But I don't think cutting Tajarans out and replacing them with this would be a popular move. Because despite you disliking them, quite a few people play them. And It's not intended to 'fix the problem' it's intended to add a species...that doesn't have that problem.

Don't quite know if anyone else pays attention to the BS-12 forums. But the Baystation community (Specifically Zuhayr and a couple other delightful individuals) created this species, coded them completely (as far as I know), sprited a whole new set of clothing/icons specifically for this species and wrote a great lore-background for them. The species to-which I am referring to is the Resomi (Roughly based on the Avali mod from starbound). I like to call them Fluffy space raptors. The main draw to this race in my mind is their ACTUAL MECHANICAL DIFFERENCES FROM HUMANS. Listed below -Due to their nature as Herd animals, they hallucinate if away from people for long amounts of time -They're 4'5'' at tallest, can fit under flaps and can be picked up -They have horrible visions, so they constantly have a welder-vision debuff -They have amazing hearing, and so have thermal vision to simulate this (Thermal vision is lost if their hearing is damaged though) -Due to their unique sprites, they have species-specific clothing! -Due to being tiny, and...birds (hollow bones for gliding) they only have 50hp compared to a Human's 100hp BS-12 lore-wise the Resomi are redonkulously hyper-advanced their society is in a state of post-scarcity and they have lots of ringworld-manufactories that make it so very few individuals in their society have to work. They use nanotechnology-injections to create (Lamely named) 'skill shots' that teach you things instantly, but as far as I know they're isolationist. They trade and all, but individuals have to be directly invited by a Resomi to enter their territory. Annnnd they're banned from Sec on Bay afaik, because 50hp is...just too fragile. Scopes seemed to like the idea of the species, and since several of you guys have complained about aliens species just being resprited humans. A species with actual mechanical differences would be welcomed!

I do like the current PDAs, and they fit the more "sci-fi" feeling Aurora goes for. But I think these work better with that/just look slightly better. They're just a metal frame with a holo-interface in the middle. Similar in design to the ones we currently have

Just going to ignore whatever shitfest happened above and say this. I play almost exclusively lesbians (I do have one or two straight characters) that's mainly because that's my actual sexual orientation and it's what I'm comfortable playing as. I barely play any anymore, but I can say that aside from one or two out of place OOC comments, I've never had an issue with anyone harassing me over my character's sexual preferences. That might be because it's not an issue, or it might be because I don't play the lesbay "I hate men" type who only talks to women and sneaks off to the janitor's closet to make out with that other SSL nurse. So I'm just saying this, don't be a dick, don't harass people, and try to make reasonable characters

Low end comps cannot run ck2 It annihilates processing power. Unless you feel like doing 1 day per minute.
